I took my daughter years ago to a Dir En Grey concert in Detroit at a small venue and just happened to cross paths with the band as they were entering the hall ---- Kyo is so tiny (Im only 5 ft 1 ) and he was barely taller than me yet commands attention -- He has quite the stage presence
The first thing that comes to my mind when I think about the topic of suicide is this song. Such a strong message and it's very very important for all the fans. This is magic that everyone will find their own pain and experiences illustrated by them and can be healed through the music. Forever in my heart.
This is one of their (sort of former) trademark songs. They used to play it at every single show for.. I wanna say the better part of a decade. They landed a hit with it, the fanbase has a very strong connection to it. Many of us were first introduced to Dir En Grey through this song. So yeah, it's a significant one, to say the least :P
I remember seeing them at Family Values tour many years ago, and not caring. Then later in life, saw the Final video from Family Values and been enthralled since then. The showmanship is unparalleled.
Just so you guys know, Kyo has another band for his alternative more experimental ideas (I know, right). And also he writes poetry books. And kid's books. And designs clothes. And does art shows. And apparently now there's the world's most interesting creepy cute cafe. I think if he's not creating he's going to spontaneously combust from too much restrained creativity.
Hey, thanks for enjoying the Dir en Grey journey I've been requesting! Think I'll be stopping with the requests (at least for now) but you guys (Jon too!) are always so fun to watch performances with. I like how you always pick apart what you really enjoy with each song/performance. And highlight what the band does so well that others may not be aware of. I'll be sticking around watching more vids from you guys. Thanks again!🖤
Hey :) I just wanted to leave a quick but heartfelt 'Thank you' for all the requests you put in! I loved watching every one of them, especially becaused you picked some songs/versions that haven't been seen on any reaction channels yet. I really appreciated that 🖤
@nocturnal møønfløwer If you requested for both Suzy and Travis it does take a couple of days to maybe even a week. But anything with Jon took only a day or two at max. But thats just my experience.
Hey, You should check out Dir en grey - ryoujoku no ame or The Final live at Wacken 2007. The early performance of dir en grey ist at some point more "shocking".
True but it's smart on their part to do remakes which would help kyo's voice adapt better to their current style of music, although his voice is healed you have to remember it's not 100%
I felt that way for a while but I've started preferring it to the old version the past few years. It was definitely hard to adjust at first with all those emotions attached to the original though.
When they perform in Poland two years ago that was the best live in my life. They better and better year after year ❤️❤️ try reaction to zakuro live, Kyo is insane! (Sorry for my english 😘)
Watching somebody gush over Kyo's raw skill is getting me choked up lol only a couple of my friends see it, so it's really important to me emotionally to see somebody love his work as much as I do :')
❤️❤️❤️ It was my first dir en grey song, I've listen to... And I'm still in love with it ❤️❤️❤️ Maybe you could listen to akuro no Oka from dir en grey, it's an old song, but the bass line is amazing there. There are some live version on UA-cam 😁 Or maybe you listen to another Japanese band: Mucc with the songs Aku - Justice - oder living dead😊
