I think I will have to quit watching your videos. You are so lovely and you have such a charming personality that I can’t concentrate on what you are doing!
As they say, “Rome wasn’t built in a day.” Have fun and take pride in what your accomplishing. It’s obvious from your videos that you are focused and you are a problem solver. Your doing a great job!
I think having a professional install the heater was a very good decision.
Try to distribute the weight as even as possible on each side.
GOOD THINGS TAKE TIME. Psalm 19
Do whatever makes you happy.
Not just the heat here. Da thunder ⛈️⚡ storms R back too.
Another great organic coffee that we enjoy is up in Maryland. Called Mayorga. It’s not veteran owned, although it’s outstanding. They ship overnight. It’s delicious. 😋
Ready set van, up in Trenton NJ, uses a wood that is stronger and 40% liter then other woods. I believe it’s sourced from Indonesia … Happy building..💯😎
Impressed with the "no fear" approach to your DIY conversion. Love watching the process.
Company need to invent van kits that make retro fitting puzzle type van conversion for camping😂❤😂❤
Custom builds take a while. Especially to dial everything in just as you want it. Very important if you plan to spend much time in the build. Patience and tenacity go hand in hand.
Good idea on returning the wood, I used 2 eighths thick paneling, the stuff you may see in peoples basement walls. The lighter your build is the better and will save on gasoline.
Don't worry about it. Work on it when you can at your schedule. + if you build it, you will know how to fix it if something breaks.
The most important thing that most van owners, whether or not they built the van out themselves, forget, is weight and balance. Remember that 32 gallons of water is going to take 266 pounds off of your useful load. You have to be aware of how much you are loading that thing up When you go on a trip all packed. Super critical!
That wasn't the best robot impression, but the rest of the video was great!
We'll still be watching...you've done great work!!!
You are a very pleasant woman. 😍The way you speak and explain to us what you are thinking.
It was a good idea , imo, to put up the plywood instead of the T and G.
Even though I subscribed a while back, your channel doesn’t show up on my feed, until this morning.
All building take way longer than what most people think.
You just don’t rush and build what you want. The finishing products are what makes it YOU.
Cheers.
Getting there. I can't blame you for slowing down. This heat in Florida makes things hard to do in the afternoon.
Why didn't you want the birch with a light stain or whitewash? Make sure you get good adhesion with a clay additive. Slow and thoughtful makes more sense than many builds I see. People get done and find they made many mistakes. Looking good as usual.
Smart, handy and very cute
Indeed she is cute,,, doing a great job!
The birch ceiling looks great but the joints will crack over time, so that's something to be aware of. There's just too much movement and vibrations in a van for the joints in the ceiling to handle. You might want to place a small timber time over those joints, when you get the cracks.
it took me over 18 months to complete my build, so i completely understand your issues.... so many things you think you want at the start, then decide not because of time constraints, finances, lack of knowledge, the list goes on, then you double back and decide you need things after you've built past, when you could've done it easily.... LOL.... trust me Elisa you are doing great, just keep chugging along and it will be done and then you will be done and take time to enjoy the fruits of your labor!!!
I never knew it would take so long. I'm using Ikea cabinets, that's the only thing that has gone quickly.
Silver is the new blonde .. What are you waiting 4. Take charge and liberate yourself !
Trust me nearly all of my projects hit snags. You learn to adapt and find contingency plans.
Always ANTICIPATING your YT videos as they are very educational for me.
Best regards from Manila, Philippines.
Don't let this Florida heat get ya! 😅
Impressed with the accomplishments. Admire your courage. Great videos!😅😊
I can totally understand that this takes a lot of time. I'm in a similar process, rebuilding an old truck. What you are building is a new design from the ground up. Very challenging!! I'm impressed by the electrical "spaghetti", but wondering where you'll hide it all once finishing everything. Keep going, you'll have an awesome van that's all yours.
This has been, by far, my favorite van build series on UA-cam! Watching this has solidified the idea that I don't want to do a full van build myself. Keep up the good work! I want to also say - gien your attention to detail I think the van is going to be very nice when completed.
Ahhh, missed you Elise! You can take all the time you like building your van! I really like how you show that you change your mind right after buying something. This shows your authenticity. This is why all of us subscribers LOVE watching you do your thing. I also think you are super funny (you can tell you are having some fun behind the scenes). Let all that come out and if you do 30min videos, so be it! #1 Fan here!! 🙂
Hi it's Tony I don't leave too many comments but I keep insisting that you would consider putting all of your water stuff all on one side so you don't have to run pipes to the other side of the van and I definitely commend you you are doing a fantastic job and I will see you in the next video take care of yourself have a good evening and pleasant dreams and God bless you
It could be an alternative business 👌
I've been watching your channel for a while now even though I do not own a van or camping vehicle I love watching you update yours vehicle to what you want that specific to you I love the fact that you're very genuine and not trying to be something you're not.. just for clicks.. and that you post on a regular basis that way we can keep track of your progress I look forward to your videos keep up the good work.
Thank you! :)
You might want to put some wood strips across the joints on the ceiling. You might find that during traveling and any flexing in the wood the wood filler falls out. Using a strip of wood, it allows for some flex,
Elisa, As we all believe you are doing an amazing job!!! First, As a video production person (no UA-cam video) your audio is great as you took the time to learn about audio. Filming a how to video is very hard and most don't understand that part. Editing is a whole other world with so many programs out there can be over whelming. Thanks for sharing you journey with all of us.I have a cargo sprinter van and because of you I am considering doing a few changes to it.I don't think I would or could do as much as you have done as I also use the van for my video production in hauling equipment and other uses.I could go on and on but you have work to do on the van. Thanks again for sharing.
Don't forget to keep those solar panels clean
Nice job on the fresh water tank! Excellent job you're doing. And I think I prefer the blue-ish nail polish! ☺ Perfect ceiling installation and I think it looks much better than the wood, especially all the weight savings. It's almost like home. Soon.....good luck with the rest.
You are impressive! The van build sounds/looks complicated but you're doing such a good job 👏
Grab a calendar, go out in the Van and look around and see what kind of job you've done. You have done a fantastic job so far.
Mark a due date sometime in July , that's the day you wanna have the Van finished?
Set a date of August 1 for your first trip out . I suggest going to the motorcycle Rally in South Dakota. Be a trip of a lifetime and you don't need Motorcycle .
Hang the Calendar. up on the mirror of the Van.
Try restoring the van itself (as I have been doing) + updating the interior; it feels like an eternity.
If it's to hot outside just post videos of your every day life and your bunny. That's so much more interesting than van building everyone is putting van build videos up on UA-cam, we want to see your life beautiful lady 🤟💯🚐🚐💯🤟🚐😁
You are making very good progress. The good news is that you posted this video.
The bad news is now I have to wait for the next one. Or watch this one over and over…
You did it, be proud of yourself. You are doing most of it, I am with you getting help as needed since we are not expert in every feild is OK.
I am proud of you. Excellent job keep it up p.🤲 Allah bless you.
Riverside CA.
❤ Elisa, You Are So Great! ❤
I think that the Roman Clay on the birch plywood will look marvelous. It is easy to do touch-ups if necessary.
Yes, I'm glad that's an option. I just ordered 3 color samples to choose from :)
Hola hola…veo tu sistema de agua, y me parece genial… podrías compartirme el diagrama por favor?
2.5 gallons? Maybe enough to wash your hands and face. In a shower, enough to get you wet, but not enough to rinse the soap off.
Nice to see you are still at it. Feels like 100 in So Flo isn't great for working outside or in a van. You've made a lot of progress. I like the 1/4" ply for the ceiling, and even the rest of the build out if you go that way. It will certainly reduce weight and help gas mileage and drive-ability. Glad that you found a local van builder for the things you'd like to farm out. Keep going, you'll be "Back on the Road again" ( One of REO's best songs)before you know it!
Building a van takes as long as it needs to. No more, no less.
Pretty sure that most would watch whether you were building or not - Great content
Your thought process is guiding you along very well. First time of constructing something like this is a big achievement, you can be proud. 👍
1000w isn't bad if it's for a short time, like a coffee machine. Good investment if you have enough amp batteries, if you enjoy coffee a lot. I would bring one of those plastic funnel supports so I I could just put a filter in it and make coffee by pouring hot water in it. Tea is my main drink though.
Well done, it takes, time strength, energy & drive to to complete a build like yours. Keep up the great work.
I've enjoyed the build out series. Understandable if there is a gap between videos. Quite a daunting task planning from scratch and building a van.project with no previous experience. Bravo on the progress so far, and keep chipping away. It'll get done in due time.
Looks great👍 Thank you for tagging! Glad to see that you figured out the water gauges and switch connections.
Thank you! It took a few hours haha, I almost called you! Hope you're doing well :)
Take your time my friend we are still watching you ❤
I'm an ex-builder and have done 2 van builds, and it's still a daunting process. I put 150 hours (give or take) into the last build and it's awesome but it's staggering the amount of time that goes into a van build. Keep up the good work!!
Take your time with your build. We can wait.
Hi Elisa, your doing great , if you think you would like to get into showing other builders rv, let me know, I have a very unique sprinter based build. I've been building for 6 years and Im
going full time in 3 to 4 months. I have family in florida. I like the way you present yourself and your rv, so if you would consider
doing a video of it, I would be more then happy to send you pictures and go from there. Thanks Ron
Fire and exhaust are definitely important to get right. Best wishes to you always on your adventure! I love your videography, the insta360 and the Sony. ❤
Another great progress video 🙂. Not sure if they do or not but I would recommend using switches that light up. That way it is easier to realize if you left one on when done using it. Keep up the great work 👍🙂
Don't put time against yourself with a rigid schedule. Take your time rookie ❤
You're doing great! I worked at Boeing on the flight ramp for many years. I have a suggestion for your electrical wiring. Never let "live" A/C wires rest on metal. I can meet you a Lowes next time you go and show you these really nice wire-tie-downs. I'll let you have them free. What's your email?
You go Girl, you are getting it done.
My parents are in Florida and I like to visit once or twice a year but winter is best for a visit. I have to wait 6 months but I miss them! It's fun to go. Edit: 32 gallons is a pretty good amount. I figure I need 25 for boon-docking for 2 weeks, and that includes a good buffer. I just plan for the distant future when I retire, and I may try out van camping.
I'm remodeling my house, new kitchen ceiling knotty pine tongue and groove. But the wiring upstairs bedroom light fixture needs work.
So stinkin pretty...
You are doing great, don't worry how long it takes.
This was a very pleasant video.
I just bought a camper van. I have been traveling around our beautiful country for some time now.
I watch to see you! The van is a path to watch how gorgeous you are.
Way too cute to be a robot! It's looking really good!!
what i like about your show is your cheshire,s cat grinning when it go,s right for you take all the time you need 😸😸
Just take your time, the most important thing is make good work and professional, is your safety... ❤❤❤
Don’t get discouraged. Looks like it’s going well. 🍻
Heck yeah! I love the water transfer system!
I can smell the Coffee😃
I've said before I really appreciate your authenticity -- not meeting the deadline you set for yourself, changing your mind, admitting that installing a gas heater is scary, and even your advertisement for a sponsor was a very honest review. Carry on...................
Hahaha. Girl, all you need to do is take your time on anything you need to do. This video have been educational and a reality to what it take to build a Van, just like everyone else. I was on the same position as you are, but it paid out. When it come to the plumbing, hahaha that was a little of a mess for me. 😳💕😂 you are doin just fine. 👍🏼
It's coming along nicely! Keep it up. It's also very enjoyable to watch YOU vlog..Very Pretty. ❤
I appreciate your heart, strength, and perseverance. 🥳🥳 we can all learn from your experience .
I dig your style, hope to see you on the road! We'll, when I finish my DIY build too.
I'm learning alot from your build. I'm enjoying it. Thank you.
Have a blessed day 😊
Slowly but it’s coming along nicely 👍👍👍👍
I can hear you have the A/C full blast. He he he.
The fans
@@soloelisa I put a window unit on my box truck when I work on it. Fan will blow hot air all over.
There you are again, Elisa. Missed you. The van is coming along great. I'm impressed with your attitude of DIY. Keep it going. Love tho legs. Thanks for sharing...🎥😃👍👌👊🛠🛠🛠🙏❤️❤️❤️
Looking good!, (and the vans coming along nicely, too.) 😍
Use padded fabric on the walls and ceiling!
Looking good. I like the ceiling. And don’t feel like the Lone Ranger, I over think so much I researched a space heater for 3 weeks one time before I bought one. 🙂
Hi Elisa, I am Jim. It is fun working on these vans, and most definitely takes time deciding on everything. I have a 2002 GMC Savana I have been working on for a while. Have the webasto like you ( used it in Wisconsin in Feb, works great and I think you will be very happy with it ), also a split electrical currently. An inverter and batteries in the rear for the webasto and other things, and a ecoflow in the front for smaller things. However I will change that to just one large system in the back, but I already had the ecoflow so used it. Solar panel, maxxfan, etc. Then I switched gears to upgrade my axle ( for future plans ), a 3 inch lift, Rims and larger e rated tires. Looking forward to some travel shortly and hopefully finish my interior in a few months. Have done lots of other mechanical and other stuff. Long winded way of saying it is an evolutionary process of deciding what works best for you, and how you will use your vehicle. I'm a fan of the GMC body style and 350 motor, nice power for pulling stuff. I enjoy watching what you are doing when I get a chance. It is fun to see other peoples ideas and choices for sure. Your van looks very lovely, and is coming together nicely. i wish you great success and happiness with your rig. And ofcourse many happy and exciting travels :)! All the best. Have a wondeful and Blessed day. Maybe I will meet you out there sometime.
safety first. No rush.....It the end it will be worth it!
There's no reason to do the dangerous stuff by yourself, we need you around to make future videos 😊
Exactly...Take your time and do it nice. Your are doing a great job. Summer 🌞 in florida is not a good time for outside work. Don't stress yourself. Relax an enjoy the project. You have a lot of fans enjoying your journey. It's looking good.😊
Hi, Looking good taking the time, to do it right great to see 👍 you doing a great job on van very talented💯, and patient keep up the fabulous work,, great videos as always .🤩😍
Congrats building your channel, subs are coming. Doesnt hurt being pretty Rx.
You’re doing great! Love the work you’ve done so far.
I absolutely love the time that you're taking in your build. It is incredibly inspiring and I'm looking forward to doing the same. I also agree that it is simply HOT in Florida right now. I just came here from NJ for vacation and fishing and WOW, it's HOT, Lol. Nevertheless, continue to take your time, because the knowledge that you're learning along the way will reap tremendous benefits down the road, when things may break down or if you ever want to upgrade some things. Thanks Again!!
