This was a public demo at an agricultural fair, not a medieval event.
Believe me, in Drachenwald we know how to make an event look medieval. :)
@martinmercenary Of course we have blunt weapons, but real weapons, real steel! And fight is in full contact. Like boxing match just witch weapons. And we using only historical protection, and clothes!

Sweet. I was thinking about getting involved with the SCA but I'm not really sure... How much does the armor and weapons cost?
Also, is the learning curve with combat steep? I don't have any experience...
I'm 16, and just got kind of into Amtgard, then I heard there was an SCA group near me, so I'm REALLY interested in this. But I don't think I can play until I'm 18, but I'm going to try and learn how to craft weapons and armor for them for when I do turn 18. Any advice?

Why in the name of all the gods is there a freakin' van in the tourney field. This was a real nice looking period event and there was a stupid car in the field!!!
