      Wigs are great for bad hair days, covering gray hair, thinning hair alopecia. I love wigs, I switch up and wear them often…..so many people admire my hair and are shocked when I tell them it’s wig😉 Wear your wigs girl and I know you don’t give a hoot what anyone thinks! I don’t 💯😍

    Her idea is brilliant! Im in a situation where wigs are a necessity and after wearing the first one for the first time I almost decided no hair is better then fake hair, but after doing a bit of research on UA-cam I've found my saving graces!... I took her advice and removed the folded rubber part of my first wig and I used Ashley Quitoz advice for making them even more natural looking with the baby hairs . Now every wig I wear look pretty much as real as my own hair! Thanks guys.

    You could also use a seam ripper to detach that seam along the edge. A seam ripper would do a more precise job while minimizing the chance of cutting through more than intended 💜

    my family thinks it's weird that I have this new wig addiction, my dad said I like you better with your thinning hair. I just told my dad if all men thought like him I would not be single right now and I would feel way more confident and have no need for wigs. But since that is not the case and the sheet fact is I don't feel pretty in my own natural hair anymore. I loved how getting my first wig made me feel pretty again. So I am trying to not allow my family's negative reaction to change how I initially felt when I put on my first wig. I have always wanted to try the bangless wigs but was always scared people would stare because it did not look real. Thanks for the plucking tricks.

    • @JesseMSimons
      @JesseMSimons  3 роки тому +7

      First off welcome! Second, to anyone telling you they like you better without a wig or don’t support you wearing them I would tell them that it’s not for them it’s for you and keep doing what makes you feel confident and happy. I have people in my life that just don’t get why I wear wigs and they never will and I have had to accept that. If you want to wear a bangless wig rock it!! I promise you will be the only one who knows it’s a wig if you just do a few things to it to make it look a little more natural and make you feel more comfortable wearing it. People who can’t support something you enjoy for yourself don’t get to have an option in my books. Keep rocking those hair crowns and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!

    Thank you for this! Seriously, every 'how to make a hardfront wig look realistic' video I've seen has shown the exact same process, but they make it sound like the wig just has this tiiiiiiiny little bit of rubber, so I've been looking at my skin tops going "Um, if I cut that out I don't have a wig". The fact it's just the rubber folded over at the end make so much more sense! Definitely starting with one of my cheap-o practice wigs first, but So! Helpful!

    Funny fact, I never had seen this done till I now see this video, but I have done this exactly same with a few wigs just on my own, and I even took a cotton hankcheeve and folded double and layed the front of the wig in between the fabric and I took either an ironing iron or a hair straightening iron on not too high heat and gently wit little pressure for just a second at the time and kinda melted the rubber and thinned it so it's even more invisible, but I am wearing wigs for several years, and braids, tape in extentions or anything actually and this thinning the rubber is something you must do with the most precautions as you can ruin it and melt the hair in, get it molten too much but you can try it first on a bad wig that you don't mind getting ruined!!!!! It's tip that works really beautiful but you must be extremely careful!!!! Good luck to you all and thanks for making this tutorial as I can definitely recommend it as I do it too and it saves us lots of money on wigs that we don't wear for each day, but still want it to look quite natural xxx

    Thank you for this tutorial Jesse! I've been wearing wigs for a little while but have wanted to look better and more natural in them, so this seems like it will be a huge help! If you're still answering questions on an older video like this, does this make the wig degrade faster than it normally would? Thank you!!

      No I don’t notice it lose any life span by doing this at all.

    Thank you so much for showing how to take out all that material of the front
    I'm going to try it tomorrow and i hope i don't shred it. Think I'll try an old one first. Thanks again
    Oh, do you have a video showing how to make the ear tags smaller or just remove them. They sit on top of my ears and it's uncomfortable.

      I don't have one on making ear tags smaller or removing them but I can make one. If you message me on IG and send pictures I can walk you through the steps!

      @Zules Gems fyi, its not either one of these women’s thing they created or came up with. They both do a great job. Amazing. No one owes anyone credit because they managed to post a video of them doing it first. Of course if they learned the method from someone on UA-cam specifically than sure they should have a enough decency to give some credit even if the person redoing it does it their own way its still good to mention that. Im not sure who this particular woman learned this technique from but its not a secret, its not new and it’s definitely not from the woman who first posted the video you mentioned. Makeup artists, costume designers, people that work in production plays, etc., have been doing this to cheap wigs for decades.

      I just wanted to come on here and say that First off this is supposed to be a happy place where we all learn how to live our best wig lives and second I honestly have never seen this Jay baby video and I would of course have given credit to a specific person if I had learned how to do this from them. I honestly just figured this out by hacking away at a few of my cheaper hard front wigs that were getting no love and just sitting in a drawer.

    Do you do this for wigs with bangs too????🤔 I would imagine the part looking better either way but I'm wondering about the front thing you cut out... Thanks for sharing your expertise!!:)

    • @JesseMSimons
      @JesseMSimons  3 роки тому +1

      I would have to try and deconstruct a bang wig to see. In theory yes you could do this but I wouldn’t want to suggest it until I try it out.

    You can take very small brush that's used to draw tiny details and use it to precisely paint thin layer of glue on the visible scalp of the parting avoiding placing it on hairs and then use eyeshadow sponge aplicator to press hd eyeshadow eyeshadow intho that glue, then wait till glue dries up and use bigger brush to remove excess powder just like with baking makeup, but it's important to do very thin layer of glue and use hd eyeshadow otherwise it gonna look like dandruff, it also can be used to hide the lace with first applying a piece of tape from the underneath and then doing same steps as with hard front wig, it can be done using super glue but must be done especially carefourly with wig placed on a wig head as it gonna make area treated with super glue hard and set in the shape it was bend during aplication of glue, also I have trick to make fake scalp parting from scratch, first I take piece of double sided tape the lenght I want parting to be, then i lift thin strip of the foil that covers one side of double sided tape and bend that strip exposing a strip of sticky surface with rest of the tape piece covered and then I use nail sizors to cut away that strip of foil and I take one track of hairs and I place it on the tape the way that sewn root of the track is on the foil and only hairs that are coming after that sewn part stick to the exposed strip of tape, then i cut off that sewn part off with nail sizors, if I want it to be resistant I then apply a thin layer of glue on the hairs that now lay flat on the tape, then i fold another strip of the protective foil and repeat previous steps, then i do the same from the other edge of tape as well and i repeat those steps as much as needed depending of the width of the tape and of how wide I want the visible parting scalp to be, then at the end I do same eyeshadow trick on the parting to give it skin color.

    I think that I could take the extra hair that came off and then get a stocking and stretch it super tight so the holes are bigger and then poke the hair through and put him down on the back. Then I could just attach that to the very front of the lake and MAKE THE LACE FRONT.
