  • I have been getting a lot of requests for making this video. Here it is! In this video, we go over how to make a hard front wig to make it look more natural. It's easy to do but can be scary because you are taking scissors to your wig! Altering a hard front wig is easy. This is a major wig hack! Make sure you watch the whole thing because once you start you can't stop. On the bright side, once you learn how to do this you can alter any hard front wig to look more natural. If you have any questions comment below and I'll help you out.

      Wigs are great for bad hair days, covering gray hair, thinning hair alopecia. I love wigs, I switch up and wear them often…..so many people admire my hair and are shocked when I tell them it’s wig😉 Wear your wigs girl and I know you don’t give a hoot what anyone thinks! I don’t 💯😍

    Her idea is brilliant! Im in a situation where wigs are a necessity and after wearing the first one for the first time I almost decided no hair is better then fake hair, but after doing a bit of research on UA-cam I've found my saving graces!... I took her advice and removed the folded rubber part of my first wig and I used Ashley Quitoz advice for making them even more natural looking with the baby hairs . Now every wig I wear look pretty much as real as my own hair! Thanks guys.

    You could also use a seam ripper to detach that seam along the edge. A seam ripper would do a more precise job while minimizing the chance of cutting through more than intended 💜

    my family thinks it's weird that I have this new wig addiction, my dad said I like you better with your thinning hair. I just told my dad if all men thought like him I would not be single right now and I would feel way more confident and have no need for wigs. But since that is not the case and the sheet fact is I don't feel pretty in my own natural hair anymore. I loved how getting my first wig made me feel pretty again. So I am trying to not allow my family's negative reaction to change how I initially felt when I put on my first wig. I have always wanted to try the bangless wigs but was always scared people would stare because it did not look real. Thanks for the plucking tricks.

    • @JesseMSimons
      @JesseMSimons  2 роки тому +4

      First off welcome! Second, to anyone telling you they like you better without a wig or don’t support you wearing them I would tell them that it’s not for them it’s for you and keep doing what makes you feel confident and happy. I have people in my life that just don’t get why I wear wigs and they never will and I have had to accept that. If you want to wear a bangless wig rock it!! I promise you will be the only one who knows it’s a wig if you just do a few things to it to make it look a little more natural and make you feel more comfortable wearing it. People who can’t support something you enjoy for yourself don’t get to have an option in my books. Keep rocking those hair crowns and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!

      @Zules Gems fyi, its not either one of these women’s thing they created or came up with. They both do a great job. Amazing. No one owes anyone credit because they managed to post a video of them doing it first. Of course if they learned the method from someone on UA-cam specifically than sure they should have a enough decency to give some credit even if the person redoing it does it their own way its still good to mention that. Im not sure who this particular woman learned this technique from but its not a secret, its not new and it’s definitely not from the woman who first posted the video you mentioned. Makeup artists, costume designers, people that work in production plays, etc., have been doing this to cheap wigs for decades.

      I just wanted to come on here and say that First off this is supposed to be a happy place where we all learn how to live our best wig lives and second I honestly have never seen this Jay baby video and I would of course have given credit to a specific person if I had learned how to do this from them. I honestly just figured this out by hacking away at a few of my cheaper hard front wigs that were getting no love and just sitting in a drawer.

    Funny fact, I never had seen this done till I now see this video, but I have done this exactly same with a few wigs just on my own, and I even took a cotton hankcheeve and folded double and layed the front of the wig in between the fabric and I took either an ironing iron or a hair straightening iron on not too high heat and gently wit little pressure for just a second at the time and kinda melted the rubber and thinned it so it's even more invisible, but I am wearing wigs for several years, and braids, tape in extentions or anything actually and this thinning the rubber is something you must do with the most precautions as you can ruin it and melt the hair in, get it molten too much but you can try it first on a bad wig that you don't mind getting ruined!!!!! It's tip that works really beautiful but you must be extremely careful!!!! Good luck to you all and thanks for making this tutorial as I can definitely recommend it as I do it too and it saves us lots of money on wigs that we don't wear for each day, but still want it to look quite natural xxx

    Yay! 🎉 my hair won’t grow after my second baby and I bought some wigs online. They were supposed to be preplucked but they don’t look natural. I even took photos with a filter and my friend laughed 😂. Thanks so much for helping with this! ❤

    Love this video! It makes the process seem so much less daunting. The only thing- I wish you had included adding baby hairs on the finished bit. I know, I know, I'm making it sound difficult when it probably REALLY isn't. The only way to find out Is just try, right? Thank you so much for the tips and help for someone new to wigs (which translates to a bunch of CHEAP ones!).

    Thank you for this! Seriously, every 'how to make a hardfront wig look realistic' video I've seen has shown the exact same process, but they make it sound like the wig just has this tiiiiiiiny little bit of rubber, so I've been looking at my skin tops going "Um, if I cut that out I don't have a wig". The fact it's just the rubber folded over at the end make so much more sense! Definitely starting with one of my cheap-o practice wigs first, but So! Helpful!

    Super informative and totally loved how you instruct the process😍
    However, my cheap wig that I bought on Wish wasn’t saveable. It’s got a weird lining and a layer very close to the center line and the hair of the wig doesn’t fall nicely to hide those bulky layers😭I even saw them to make them look thinner although it didn’t make much difference. I wish I could post pictures of it here to show how awkward it looks.
    Unfortunately mine didn’t really work, but it was a fun project and your video was so helpful! Thank you!!
