Wigs are great for bad hair days, covering gray hair, thinning hair alopecia. I love wigs, I switch up and wear them often…..so many people admire my hair and are shocked when I tell them it’s wig😉 Wear your wigs girl and I know you don’t give a hoot what anyone thinks! I don’t 💯😍
I love wigs for different styles without ruining your own hair! People who want to put effort in are always put down by those that have no umpf and want to bring them down because they are jealous!!
Her idea is brilliant! Im in a situation where wigs are a necessity and after wearing the first one for the first time I almost decided no hair is better then fake hair, but after doing a bit of research on UA-cam I've found my saving graces!... I took her advice and removed the folded rubber part of my first wig and I used Ashley Quitoz advice for making them even more natural looking with the baby hairs . Now every wig I wear look pretty much as real as my own hair! Thanks guys.
You could also use a seam ripper to detach that seam along the edge. A seam ripper would do a more precise job while minimizing the chance of cutting through more than intended 💜
Thank you sooo much!!! I have a synthetic wig without bangs that I’ve been trying to rework and this will be PERFECT!!! I’m really new to wigs, and I’m so self conscious of them looking real. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for taking the time to make these videos to help women like myself feel more like their true selves
my family thinks it's weird that I have this new wig addiction, my dad said I like you better with your thinning hair. I just told my dad if all men thought like him I would not be single right now and I would feel way more confident and have no need for wigs. But since that is not the case and the sheet fact is I don't feel pretty in my own natural hair anymore. I loved how getting my first wig made me feel pretty again. So I am trying to not allow my family's negative reaction to change how I initially felt when I put on my first wig. I have always wanted to try the bangless wigs but was always scared people would stare because it did not look real. Thanks for the plucking tricks.
First off welcome! Second, to anyone telling you they like you better without a wig or don’t support you wearing them I would tell them that it’s not for them it’s for you and keep doing what makes you feel confident and happy. I have people in my life that just don’t get why I wear wigs and they never will and I have had to accept that. If you want to wear a bangless wig rock it!! I promise you will be the only one who knows it’s a wig if you just do a few things to it to make it look a little more natural and make you feel more comfortable wearing it. People who can’t support something you enjoy for yourself don’t get to have an option in my books. Keep rocking those hair crowns and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!
Girl your not alone I am literally addicted to wigs i had to stop myself from buying more because im like i havnt even given the ones iv baught a Try lol its definitely a fun addiction and girl as far as your family is concerned eff how they feel girl because it doesn’t matter because at the end of the day its how you feel. ❤❤❤ and you feel great sooo keep going sis 😍😍 Plus I love the attention girl i get attention from ladies and men lmao 😂😂❤❤❤
Omg! I love that you did this video! I’m looking to get my first wig because of CTE and I don’t want to look wiggy. I’ve watched a lot of videos for making wigs look more natural but this one is the best by far. Thank you 🧡.
I’ve always loved the idea of wearing wigs and playing with my look so I went and got one but I hated the hard front and didn’t think it looked very realistic because of that. I’m definitely going to try this.
Thank you so much. I've bought several wigs cos I love trying different colours, and hated that hard front. I'd get around it by wearing hats (I make my own crochet beanie hats), but this technique is brilliant for making all my wigs look so much more wearable now. Thank you!
Your video was 😍🥰 I bought these 2 hard front wigs off of amazon 4years ago when I was living with my mama. I held onto them for 4 years and because of your video I know what to do now thank you sm! ❤
Thank you - so helpful! Great video for creating a more natural wig front! I have found that Detail scissors for making intricate cuts (I found at Michael's) is a great way to get those small, precise cuts because the tips are as sharp as the rest of the blades.
Awesome, very detailed informative video! I have been looking for a way to fix a wig with not so natural hairline and now I’ve found it! Thank you pretty lady💯👍🏾😍
I was just watching Chelsey Smith and she mentioned you! I’m new to wigs. I have 5 that I got from Chelsey....3 I got on her fantastic cyber Monday sale! I also have one with the front that you just showed that was given to me. I haven’t put any on yet....I’m trying to learn everything that I can first. I’m looking forward to watching more of your videos. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!!
Well glad your here and welcome to the crazy wig world!!! Let me know if there is anything you don’t see and want to learn. I’m always looking for suggestions!!
This was the exact problem I needed the solution for because I could not find anything from the context I put into so many different search bars! Ty so so so much u are now my fav wig person!
I bought a wig to try out and figure out how to install it because my mom is getting married in December and will be wearing a wig being as she has stage 4 cervical cancer this has helped me SOOOOO much I really appreciate it
Awesome!! Glad to help and congratulations on your Moms wedding I’m sure it’s going to be a beautiful day!! What wig is she wearing?? Would love to see photos. Let me know if I can help in any way you need as well if there are any questions you have when your getting it ready for her. 😊
I CANT EXPLAIN HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU FOR POSTING THIS VIDEO AND GIVING ME THIS HUGE ADVICE HOLY SHIT MY WIG LOOKS WAY MUCH AND SO MUCH BETTER HOLY SHIT!❤️❤️
This was so helpful. I need to get a short lavender middle part wig and all I could find on line were long lace fronts for $50. I really don't want to pay $50 for a wig I'm gonna cut short, like cut off 15" of hair short. So this sis super helpful!
I like the video and your approach "style" of creating the instructional videos for viewers. For me, i have struggled to keep up with majority of instructional videos on this feed. So, with saying that im confident in moving forward with my wig alterations. You are talented. Happy New year 2021 Thatnks hunxx
Thank you for this! Seriously, every 'how to make a hardfront wig look realistic' video I've seen has shown the exact same process, but they make it sound like the wig just has this tiiiiiiiny little bit of rubber, so I've been looking at my skin tops going "Um, if I cut that out I don't have a wig". The fact it's just the rubber folded over at the end make so much more sense! Definitely starting with one of my cheap-o practice wigs first, but So! Helpful!
This is helping and very informative... I'm about to start getting into wigs decided to start with a synthetic wig.. cause my hair around my hairline is dropping.
Got my first synthetic hard front wig and named her "Pinkie" love that this is just a thing wiggy peeps do, we give them a whole persona 😂👌 Mine's got some slightly cray looking bangs but she's my beanie Alt girl lewk so it works! Thanks for these tutorials! As much as I wish I could just start getting the good stuff, I think there's a bit of a transition/ learning curve that needs to happen first, to really understand what to look for before dropping 400$-1000$ on a wig.
Hello, i love your wigs, i also have brought one as ive got really thin hair but i dont have wig glue and it wont stay on my head without glue, im going to a party tomorrow and i dont have time to get hair glue, can i use any form of glue on the wig to make it stick to my head or does it have to be hair glue?
Thank you SO MUCH for this. I use wigs a lot for cosplay, which is a pretty pricey hobby in and of itself, so expensive lace front wigs aren't always an option for me. This way I can still make the less expensive hard front wigs look super pretty. ❤
Yes!!! I am actually going to do a SHEIN wig haul type video soon so I can try out some of the SHEIN wigs. I keep seeing them when I buy clothing on there.
You're funny. I HAVE put hair onto wigs lol although it was usually strands I cut off other wigs. Also, I use a single edge razor instead of scissors because the first video I saw showed a razor
Funny fact, I never had seen this done till I now see this video, but I have done this exactly same with a few wigs just on my own, and I even took a cotton hankcheeve and folded double and layed the front of the wig in between the fabric and I took either an ironing iron or a hair straightening iron on not too high heat and gently wit little pressure for just a second at the time and kinda melted the rubber and thinned it so it's even more invisible, but I am wearing wigs for several years, and braids, tape in extentions or anything actually and this thinning the rubber is something you must do with the most precautions as you can ruin it and melt the hair in, get it molten too much but you can try it first on a bad wig that you don't mind getting ruined!!!!! It's tip that works really beautiful but you must be extremely careful!!!! Good luck to you all and thanks for making this tutorial as I can definitely recommend it as I do it too and it saves us lots of money on wigs that we don't wear for each day, but still want it to look quite natural xxx
Love this video! It makes the process seem so much less daunting. The only thing- I wish you had included adding baby hairs on the finished bit. I know, I know, I'm making it sound difficult when it probably REALLY isn't. The only way to find out Is just try, right? Thank you so much for the tips and help for someone new to wigs (which translates to a bunch of CHEAP ones!).
Thank you soooo much for your wig tutorials! I got a pretty cheap hard front wig for a costume and will try this tomorrow. If i mess it up it will be just a great reason to try you bang-Tutorial :D Greetings from Germany
I just went and spent a bunch of money on wig stands and i am going to use my excessive amount hangers from now on also i kept trying to make my hard fronts look real and today im gonna be putting in some work because i love the wig its just that hairline that stopse from wearing it
Thank you for this tutorial Jesse! I've been wearing wigs for a little while but have wanted to look better and more natural in them, so this seems like it will be a huge help! If you're still answering questions on an older video like this, does this make the wig degrade faster than it normally would? Thank you!!
Thank you so much for showing how to take out all that material of the front I'm going to try it tomorrow and i hope i don't shred it. Think I'll try an old one first. Thanks again Oh, do you have a video showing how to make the ear tags smaller or just remove them. They sit on top of my ears and it's uncomfortable.
I don't have one on making ear tags smaller or removing them but I can make one. If you message me on IG and send pictures I can walk you through the steps!
@Zules Gems fyi, its not either one of these women’s thing they created or came up with. They both do a great job. Amazing. No one owes anyone credit because they managed to post a video of them doing it first. Of course if they learned the method from someone on UA-cam specifically than sure they should have a enough decency to give some credit even if the person redoing it does it their own way its still good to mention that. Im not sure who this particular woman learned this technique from but its not a secret, its not new and it’s definitely not from the woman who first posted the video you mentioned. Makeup artists, costume designers, people that work in production plays, etc., have been doing this to cheap wigs for decades.
I just wanted to come on here and say that First off this is supposed to be a happy place where we all learn how to live our best wig lives and second I honestly have never seen this Jay baby video and I would of course have given credit to a specific person if I had learned how to do this from them. I honestly just figured this out by hacking away at a few of my cheaper hard front wigs that were getting no love and just sitting in a drawer.
You deserve SO many MORE subscribers, I love your editing style and you go straight into what you're discussing - amazing! Also, I'll very much be using this haha - thank you!!

I love my lace wigs! But for people just starting out these are a good way to see what color/styles you like before spending more on a nicer unit. ❤️❤️
Do you do this for wigs with bangs too????🤔 I would imagine the part looking better either way but I'm wondering about the front thing you cut out... Thanks for sharing your expertise!!:)
I bought a wig thru Amazon it's beautiful but the hard piece in front is so noticeable..I'm gonna remove hard piece how you demonstrated...I can't wait to wear it...
Yay! 🎉 my hair won’t grow after my second baby and I bought some wigs online. They were supposed to be preplucked but they don’t look natural. I even took photos with a filter and my friend laughed 😂. Thanks so much for helping with this! ❤
You can take very small brush that's used to draw tiny details and use it to precisely paint thin layer of glue on the visible scalp of the parting avoiding placing it on hairs and then use eyeshadow sponge aplicator to press hd eyeshadow eyeshadow intho that glue, then wait till glue dries up and use bigger brush to remove excess powder just like with baking makeup, but it's important to do very thin layer of glue and use hd eyeshadow otherwise it gonna look like dandruff, it also can be used to hide the lace with first applying a piece of tape from the underneath and then doing same steps as with hard front wig, it can be done using super glue but must be done especially carefourly with wig placed on a wig head as it gonna make area treated with super glue hard and set in the shape it was bend during aplication of glue, also I have trick to make fake scalp parting from scratch, first I take piece of double sided tape the lenght I want parting to be, then i lift thin strip of the foil that covers one side of double sided tape and bend that strip exposing a strip of sticky surface with rest of the tape piece covered and then I use nail sizors to cut away that strip of foil and I take one track of hairs and I place it on the tape the way that sewn root of the track is on the foil and only hairs that are coming after that sewn part stick to the exposed strip of tape, then i cut off that sewn part off with nail sizors, if I want it to be resistant I then apply a thin layer of glue on the hairs that now lay flat on the tape, then i fold another strip of the protective foil and repeat previous steps, then i do the same from the other edge of tape as well and i repeat those steps as much as needed depending of the width of the tape and of how wide I want the visible parting scalp to be, then at the end I do same eyeshadow trick on the parting to give it skin color.
Well, Nala isthe name for the lioness on the foam head and your curly bob? Why, Babette, of course! Thanks so much for this tutorial, courageously brilliant😇
I think that I could take the extra hair that came off and then get a stocking and stretch it super tight so the holes are bigger and then poke the hair through and put him down on the back. Then I could just attach that to the very front of the lake and MAKE THE LACE FRONT.
I have a basic cap that doesn't have a rubber part and it has a hard front. What can I do to give it a part? The color is just what I've been looking for and the body and shape of it is otherwise great. Thanks!
Bought a Wig off SHEIN for $10 till I can buy something with better quality but I got lucky and the wig is awesome quality it just had the unatural hair line , but watching this video I was able to make it look even more natural !!! thank you so much for making this , ima buy cheap wigs now and always do this lol 😆

Thank you soooo much for your wig tutorials! I got a pretty cheap hard front wig for a costume and will try this tomorrow. If i mess it up it will be just a great reason to try you bang-Tutorial :D
Greetings from Germany
Love it!!! Thanks for watching! Let me know if you have any questions. 😊
@@JesseMSimons Hey, it worked really good, thanks to you :D

You're welcome! Welcome to the wig world.
I just went and spent a bunch of money on wig stands and i am going to use my excessive amount hangers from now on also i kept trying to make my hard fronts look real and today im gonna be putting in some work because i love the wig its just that hairline that stopse from wearing it
Thank you so much girl 😍😍 you saved my life
You're welcome! I'm so glad it helped 😊
Great job I do that too but your better at it this was very helpful ☝️👏🙌😆
Thank you for this tutorial Jesse! I've been wearing wigs for a little while but have wanted to look better and more natural in them, so this seems like it will be a huge help! If you're still answering questions on an older video like this, does this make the wig degrade faster than it normally would? Thank you!!
No I don’t notice it lose any life span by doing this at all.
Thank you so much for showing how to take out all that material of the front
I'm going to try it tomorrow and i hope i don't shred it. Think I'll try an old one first. Thanks again
Oh, do you have a video showing how to make the ear tags smaller or just remove them. They sit on top of my ears and it's uncomfortable.
I don't have one on making ear tags smaller or removing them but I can make one. If you message me on IG and send pictures I can walk you through the steps!
I absolutely love your channel. You have some great suggestions. Thank you 😊. Cheers 😉🌷
Thank you! I appreciate it. 😊
I have learnt a lot about the hard front part which I struggled to do now I have an idea how to do it thanks very much for sharing 😍😍😍
Absolutely!! Glad I could help and thank you for watching!
Thank you SOO much!!!❤️
thank you for this im gonna be wearing a wif for halloween and i was streaks about this thank you !
This the JayBaby method, she is here on UA-cam too. She did this a while ago. You did a great job!❤
Yeah jay baby created the method but she did a good job too
@Zules Gems oh please!! Everybody pick up everybody’s tips! So shut up and stop being a damn negative Nancy
@Zules Gems Learn to type/speak in complete sentences, before you address me! Until then you get no response.
I honestly just figured this out by hacking away at a few of my cheaper hard front wigs that were getting no love and just sitting in a drawer.
call the short wig chloe and the longer one zahra! thanks for this video, it helps heaps!!
Thank you so much this is an amazing and decisive tutorial!
Absolutely my pleasure! Thank you for watching!!
Love this!💓
Thanks Vanessa!
Thank you! 💕 I love wearing wigs and now I'm going to try this! Oh by the way I think she looks like a Celeste 🤗
❤️

I love your tattoos 😍
Thank you!
It actually works ❤😊
😊
💯Hard front vs Soft Lace soft lace is better for your edges love your videos and convinced you got soul 😊
I would have to try and deconstruct a bang wig to see. In theory yes you could do this but I wouldn’t want to suggest it until I try it out.
I bought a wig thru Amazon it's beautiful but the hard piece in front is so noticeable..I'm gonna remove hard piece how you demonstrated...I can't wait to wear it...
I so needed help lol. Thank you!!
Glad I could help!
Yay! 🎉 my hair won’t grow after my second baby and I bought some wigs online. They were supposed to be preplucked but they don’t look natural. I even took photos with a filter and my friend laughed 😂. Thanks so much for helping with this! ❤
You are so welcome!
Love the names!!
Lynelle~ the sassy lioness! (For the long curly wig on the face and…
Bridgette or Bianca for the shorter tresses that you debuted!… my suggestions!
Love them!
Gorgeous job thank you
I have a name for your long haired wavy girl. "Young Julia Roberts." In one of her old movies, "Sleeping with the Enemy" she has that hair.
So much of a difference
Yes! 😊
I think that I could take the extra hair that came off and then get a stocking and stretch it super tight so the holes are bigger and then poke the hair through and put him down on the back. Then I could just attach that to the very front of the lake and MAKE THE LACE FRONT.
Sounds like it could be doable! I think you're on to something ☺️
Name the Lion one Leo. Ohh this was such a good tutorial. Do another one and style it
Good idea! She still is nameless because nothing has stuck but I like Leo!
Brilliant
Thanks!
I have a basic cap that doesn't have a rubber part and it has a hard front. What can I do to give it a part? The color is just what I've been looking for and the body and shape of it is otherwise great. Thanks!
Can you send me some photos on IG or email me at Jessem.simons711@gmail.Com
If I see it I can definitely help you with it. 😊
