A tour of the Titan II Missile Museum in Pima County, AZ.
Also, this channel will mostly focus on adventures, but I also like to write about a bunch of different topics that interest me (tech, aviation, history, productivity, etc.). Check out my newsletter here to see those: nickrroberts.c...

Great Video. I have visited several of these sites when they were still active. It's interesting to note how thick the blast door is that literally locks the two-man crew into an underground vault. What was the plan if the crew could not open the blast door to get out????? I was assured that there was a plan but even though I had a top secret clearance they would not tell me what the plan was because I did not have a "need to know". Thank you for showing this complex. Many Americans have no idea what we in the military do/did in support of our country and the sacrifices we made.

There were maintenance procedures if a blast door became inoperable. If the crew had to get out, there was an emergency escape hatch, which we had to practice opening once per year, as it took some work to open it. Nice video, we weren't bored, had lots to do and we also watched TV, played cards and other stuff. We didn't spend time reflecting on the missile or nuclear war. Missileers from the Air Force crewed these silos, not soldiers.
