After watching videos I learned my job is to feed my dog and not be her personal chef. I have spent so much money trying to please my dog. She learned if she would not eat the dog food I presented she would get something new or home cooked. After realizing her level of manipulation she now eats kibble. She would always eat treats and not her dog food so I knew she was not sick. She had me trained so well! I love her so much.
How did you get her to eat them?

My dog literally fasted for whole day cause I chopped his chicken. He usually has it cut instead of chopped :") Driving me nuts with worries!
I’ve tried all these tricks but still no luck. My pup used to eat her regular kibble without any issue but suddenly when she turned six months old she just became pickier and pickier. I didn’t change anything about her food until she started turning her nose up at her meals then I started using these tricks to coax her into eating. I’ve even resorted to mixing cheaper quality dry food in with her regular higher quality food because she seemed to like the taste better. This only worked for a short time and then it was as if she caught on to my game and decided not to eat that. I then resort adding wet food that had gravy to a small amount of dry food. This works a bit better but it’s a crap shoot with her. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t. If it works she takes a long time to finish her food grazing at it all day. If she doesn’t like it it will sit the her bowl all day and it worries me. I’ll have to speak with her vet about this.

Mine too, can't get her to eat anything but Meat :( Wish she would eat kibble. Sometimes she'll eat the freeze dried Raw from Open Farms and noticed other Brands now coming out with Freeze Dried Raw but of course all so expensive like the actual meat. a Fortune and she's not even 5 months.

I literally just give my dog dry food and wait for him to eat it, eventually at sone point he is going to eat it and get used to it, they won’t starve to death lol

I know it's probably not healthy but it's literally just a pinch and it won't hurt them to do it a couple times.

THANK YOU! My dog would not eat his new Kibble food ! All I did was add bottled spring water to his bowl and he started chowing it down! I switched from Purina pro plan puppy to Purina Instinct mix beef and salmon bites. I made the switch because I thought he would enjoy the chuck bites... He enjoyed them a little too much, he would literally only eat the chunk bites lol. He eats all of now, thanks to this water trick

After trying the best whole food, expensive etc. I’ve determined he is just plain stubborn and picky.

I waited for my 7 weeks old puppy 20 hours to eat his dry food, she should've been dead at that time but yet doesn't want to eat it, I did everything, mixed it with milk, chicken, pork, sardine, didn't work.. and still waited another 24 hours to eat them l, didn't work. I checked the food I am using, it says for puppies at the same exact age he is, I need help please.
Try a small bag of high quality food brand like Acana. Maybe add beef or chicken broth to dry food if your dog rejects it. I suggest a small bag so you don't go broke finding brand and food flavor your pup will enjoy. I've added a little shredded cheese mixed in. Or sprinkle of parmesan cheese mixed in. I also spray our dog's food with a dash of coconut oil or olive oil for a shiny coat.
I had a cat that refused to eat food with any rabbit in it. Good luck.

Eat some of the food in front of it to teach it to eat the food.
Put peanut butter or treats. Putting in the microwave could also help. It has helped with other dogs.

My dogs are old and have bad teeth. I keep Bil Jac on the side in case they don’t want to eat their soft food. They make it for small and large dogs that is easy to chew. You can take you finger and break it in half.
I first changed from lamb to turkey which worked well

There’s no way my dog will eat kibble. She spits every piece out and will go hungry.
You do have to be a bit careful with letting them starve. My old gsd had kidney failure at the end of her life, and I didn't know that a symptom of that is anorexia. I tried all sorts of things to get her to eat. In the end she wouldn't even eat roast chicken.
My 15½ year fox terrier dog had kidney failure as well and had to be put down. The vet said it was due to a build up of phosphorus that caused them to malfunction. He was never a great eater, but survived on one small plate of cut up dog roll per day, he never drank much water during his life, but towards the end he drunk 3 or 4 cups a day.

Put the dry out in morning, very very rarely does our princess want to start eating, this bowl can sit there virtually untouched till mid afternoon, so this morning I took a peice of cooked chicken skin about 2 square inches and quickly massaged the skin into the dry kibbles then disposed of the skin into bin . What are the toxic ingredients that shouldn’t be put in homemade broth? Also, does getting the kibble wet defeat the supposed purpose of kibble being beneficial for a dog’s teeth?
Kibble does not clean the tartar present on the teeth. The truth is that as kibble has a lot of unnecessary starches and carbs it provides readily available nutrition for the tartar present on the teeth just try adding some whole foods like meat, organ meat, fish, cooked vegetables, fruits, herbs or eggs. Dogs 100% know that the kibble that you are feeding is not good for them but they still eat it because they have no option other than eating burnt brown balls filled with low quality ingredients and fillers

1. Onions
2. Grapes
3. SOME seeds and nuts
4. Leek
5. Any spices or salt
6. Chocolate
8. Hi sodium or iodine canned or prepacked food
9. Most Oils
Here's a simple homemade beef broth for dogs ↓
1. Beef bones - 1 LBS
2. Apple cider vinegar - 2 TBSP
3. Turmeric - ⅛ TSP
4. Water - twice the amount of bones.
And ya if you're mixing broth with kibble you can also add extra meal additions to make healthy as it is highly processed
Meat, organ meat, eggs, fish, pumpkin, berries or fermented veggies. Always make sure that you introduce these whole foods one by another slowly and gradually.

Have you ever checked the ingredients of pedigree? Just throw the bag of pedigree in the trash can and get some human grade homecooked or raw food
Pedigree is not that good to be honest. Try to get ur pup food that has meat as the first ingredient; no corn, wheat, or soy

When its meal time,after 10 minutes if she is not touching her food, take her food away (MAKE SURE she’s looking at you when you are doing it)
Then do the same thing again on her next meal and so on.
Works on my small size 8 months old dog after doing that for 2 days straight. Just make sure she have plenty of water, since she’ll be starving. Once she started eating, my dog never become picky, EVER again!

Help I'm here looking for options bc my dog will not eat her dog food (dry or wet) I buy her the most expensive one, the cheap one, the regular one and she will still not eat. Dogs shouldn’t eat dry food. It’s processed garbage. You should home cook all their food. Healthier and they love it.

Not everybody has time to cook for their dog(s) though. My dog is about to come to college with me and cause of covid we aren't allowed to use the community kitchen and our microwaves are terrible.

I would love to do a raw diet for my dog but my parents disagree, plus my dog doesn't like I've tried it once. Also if my dog doesn't eat her food my parents will be sending her back and i don't want that to happen

@@marthasunny4937 my 45 kg Ridge acknowledges has been eating chicken since he was 6 months old, he is now 7 , have not had any problems, just have to be careful with the feet as it is very fatty. He has a varied diet meaty bones, home made food and the like but will not eat dry since our 15 tear old cattle dog died. Go figure
