Hazel it was actually lovely that it was nearly 1 hour long!
I was actually quite productive during that time and got some writing and analysis done for my bachelor thesis while you two were talking in the background. Since I was home alone it was really motivating to be accompanied (to some degree at least) 😍 Really looking forward to the book!

For any of y'all who get excited about maps in books, there is a map on the inside cover of Circe by Madeline Miller (or at least for my paperback copy there is), which I just finished. I am definitely still in that dazed I-just-finished-a-really-good-book state, and if you are even remotely interested in mythology, I would 15/10 recommend. (Also can't wait for my copy of Out of Love to arrive! I'm in the states so I'm sure it will take a bit longer to get here, but I'm sure I will drop everything and read it as soon as it shows up-RIP my classes)

Really want to read this book! Recently read Song of Achilles by her, and completely bawled my eyes out at the end (the fact that I was on my period probably also has to do a lot with it), that's how good it was. Had a pretty big book hangover after that. Would love to read this book.
I’m really struggling with everything at the moment, from loosing my grandad to being stuck in and isolated from everyone and it’s been really hard not to be able to talk to someone face to face but your videos make me so happy, I feel like your sat on my bed with me just having a real conversation I’m sat smiling like a looney. I just want to say thank you. Your videos really make my day so much better.

That is how that goes! I remember feeling that way when I was a teenager. I’m 22 now and I have friends in their thirties that I’ve met as an adult. It’s WILD. some of my closest friends in the new state I live in are MARRIED with KIDS, like, what?? How did that happen
Met one of my friend's when I was 18 and she was 25 - we're now 20 and 27 and the friendship is completely different 🤷♀️ when the gap closes, it closes *quick*! (in a good way!)

i really like your longer videos because it's something to put on while I embroider or cook/bake or do laundry or whatever. it feels more like a chat and more personal and i really like that. it's another form of "connection" that we get during this time that I know many of us love to see whenever you upload something a bit longer :). do what you feel (i know you don't need to hear that from me lol :)) ). have a nice day.

I just wanted to thank you Hazel for the VEDISI videos.. they have really made me feel less alone in this weird time. Being away from my friends and family has been so challenging, and putting on these videos just provides a comforting feeling as if I am spending my time with someone and the world is back to normal :)

Lately I’ve been a Kindle girl, because instantly delivered digital copies are the only way to keep up with my love of reading and my desperate need for instant gratification. But I was so moved by your readings of the first chapters that I knew I absolutely had to get a physical copy and that it would be well worth the wait. Just watched on Instagram you getting your book(s) for the first time which made my heart smile. And then we get a new VEDISI? Spectacular! And FYI - watching each one, the end always came too soon. So forget the notion of the vids running too long. The open flow was always a comfort. People have the power to hit stop if they like. Some of us dreaded the end each time but relished the journey.

i bought dune a few weeks ago and i got so exited about the map too!! when i was i kid i was obsessed with the fantasia books and they always had maps and things and it brought that excitement back to me it was lovely, i’ll have to start reading quickly if i want to finish before the 11th of june! :)
