"This is why I gave up piano" BROKE ME
ohhhh my god. I apologise to everyone for whatever I was saying :") I love you dearly Hazel and I am indeed the biggest Hazelnut
It is though! :)
And you were awesome and wonderful, as always. Stop apologising!!!
Hola
vwyxk@123
doddleoddle are you a hazelnut
doddleoddle this video is ild but I just relly want to say this, if you lived forever, you would watch everyone you ever loved, you would watch the end of the world and survive past that, you might live in some alien planet and survive to see a whole new civilisation rise and fall. but I think you would just float in the bleakness of space probably in pain, forever sunce you would live forever.I would rather be just some blob of dead cells unconcious
"That's fucking wild."
This got very deep.. Im just imagining what would happen if you did tipsy talk with Dan now and how deep would that get
+Katrina Baker Phan well she did one w/ phil!!
oh god no lol
I would like that though
It got really deep then they talked about fish fingers
Then it got deep again
@@batteryoweredscout how all things should be
NEW VIDEO! #TipsyTalk with doddleoddle... Finally! 😁 Leave me a comment if you're a Hazelnut!! x
i am a hazelnut
If this is a "relaxed tipsy talk" - I'd like to see a non-relaxed one, I'm picturing Hazel in a drunk rage smashing a bottle of wine over dan and phil. Just a suggestion ;)
yep im a Hazelnut :)
I'm a Hazelnut! What an honour! Make the t-shirts!! :)
i'm a hazelnut! :)
You're dead to me Dodie.
NO I'M SORRY I KNOW IT WAS SUPERMAN I PROMISE

Merzzies BO BURNHAM

*falls into a pit of existentialism*
your profile suits this comment all too well
existential trash
+Eleanor Taylor that's how I introduce myself to people
IKR should be a trigger warning for those susceptible to fall into that dark pit
"This is why I gave up piano." XD
For the record, I think 'Hazelnuts' is an adorable name, and yes, I consider myself one, but I wouldn't like to live forever.
Hmm, a thought: because I'm from NZ, does that make me a Kiwi-Hazelnut? That's not a very appetising combination...
Very comprehensive comment. You've really covered all the bases there :)
Watching this now is so sweet. Especially since the "I kissed someone (it wasn't you)" video just came out, and Hazel was saying how dodie is like a little sister that she's watched grow up. Just thinking abt 2014 dodie compared to 2021 dodie is wild
This video is literally just one big existential crisis
Hazel, you have a really beautiful way of conversation. You ask genuinely interesting questions and when someone else is talking you can see that you're really listening to what they're saying and taking it in. You are a person I would love to have a conversation with. x
What a lovely thing to say. Thank you Olivia! x
You're more than welcome :) x
Hazel hayes cool 👍❤️❤️❤️
If you made a shirt with a hazelnut, with arms and legs, holding a glass of wine the way you do at 6:13... I would wear that. And I feel like a lot of other people would too haha
Absolutely, holding wine and chewing on some sand
That was some solid dorito eating you two. Very deep discussion on crisps at the start as well. The internet needs to talk about crisps more, it's an important issue.
(Tayto 4 ever)
((also fuck man of Steel))
I think you covered it all there quite succinctly.
Yes Sean! Man of steel sucked ass!!
Superman Returns was much worse
Seán Connolly Can't beat a bag of taytos!
Taytos taste a bit like nuclear waste on potatoes but they're also so addictive...
I've just started watching Hazel and I can't stop watching Tipsy Talk it's too good
please can you do tipsy talk with Evan :)
YEEESSSSSSS
holy shit imagine the shit puns
PLEASE
eve • two shits in one sentence I'm proud
Love this!
Thanks Lana! Come visit again soon. xxxx
please do a tipsy talk with Dan and/or phil 😂
So you're telling me that this was accidental product placement? Because now I really want some doritos...
I know, right?
Isla McTear I legit was contemplating going to the store for Doritos before I started the video so now I have to go for sure.
Doritos really are great aren't they :)
I'm scared of death, but I don't like the idea of living forever, because I'm scared of old age. I'm having a bit of a crisis....
I think I would call myself a Hazelnut, because I really do like nutella...
Such a wide range of topics in one comment... Made me giggle :)
Hazel comes across as someone who would be cool to discuss philosophy with
the most philosophical of tipsy talks
It's certainly up there! :)
youtube recommendations got me here. i dont regret it
I think I'm going to add "Be on an episode of Tipsy Talk" to my list of "Unattainable Life Goals that would be really awesome if they came true."
..Yup. Added it.
These are so well edited, it's brilliant!
Why thank you! There's quite a lot to sift through :)
At 6:50 you can see the look of pure panic/confusion/fuck-what-the-hell-do-I-say in Hazel's eyes 😂😂
i would Actually buy a t-shirt with a hazel nut on it chewing sand Honestly
1) Am Hazelnut. 2) Depends on what sort of immortality? Like, can you decide when you've had enough? How does aging work? Is it like a regeneration sort of deal, or....? These are all important considerations.
Also, this video genuinely made my afternoon a lot better. Thanks. :)
who else feels like she REALLY needs to do a tipsy talk with Dan?!
Omg, Submarine is literally the best movie ever!!!
If I had to pick a sound to describe 'happiness,' I would pick Hazel's laugh, literally you can't not smile when Hazel laughs.
"Why would you ever want death?" Well......
"That's why I gave up piano". Things like that are why I'm a proud Hazelnut.
Being on Tipsy Talk is one of my new life goals! So funny!
Hazel get a bloody PO BOX you'd get a flood of Crix! Also congrats almost hitting 100k :)
I really should, shouldn't I? :) And thanks. x
ChewingSand And name it your CrixPO box :)
Crixbox
VegPig
These videos honestly make me so happy
Immediate lift in my mood, thank you both for being wonderful :)
Thank you for watching :)
I have been waiting a VERY LONG TIME for this
I didn’t expect to have an existential crisis from this video guys! 😂😂😂😂 omg
Definitely a bit of a Hazelnut, I love these tipsy talks.
I came here to watch two of my favourite UA-camrs talk about everything and nothing... Instead, I've been launched into a full-blown existential crisis. Thank you Hazel and Dodie; I love you both dearly. ❤️
not gonna lie i always think "anything" in hazels voice when i think of hazel aahah
Is this a thing? I can't believe this is actually a thing! :)
It's a thing. XD
ChewingSand I think it's a thing...also JEYSIS
"This is why I stopped piano" literally made my day :')
"Why are you closing the lid?" MEEEEE!!!
Damn I love the start of this video. "THATS FUCKING WILD!"
oh thank the lord, my two favourites
Watching this video today is like traveling back through time to witness the light which reflected off of Dodie and Hazel and into the camera long, long ago, in a flat far, far away...
The thought of whoever it was having a smoke while you were weeping actually made me laugh so much
It's 2016 and I'm still not over Dodie's little smirk at the camera when she says "You have to press down hard."
so cool that you're moving in together!!
'Tipsy Talk is like starlight' truest thing I ever did hear. :')
I'm confused about Dodie's implication about Otter? Does he have some kind of vocal coach?
I'm honestly not sure what that was about. I guess she was just drunk and confused...?
I think she meant that the viewers who didn't know who otter was, would be imagining stuffed otters.
this was really nice to watch when i was sleepy
I genuinely don't feel like I've laughed so hard at a youtube video in a long time. The look on Hazel's face when talking about the latex was absolutely priceless!
Miss these Hazel, still make me laugh
watching table talk with biscuits and a scarily large glass of wine, perfect sunday
What you guys were talking about with the "if it didn`t happen we wouldn`t be here to see it" etc is an actual philosophical thing called the anthropic principle. It usually ties in with a multiverse theory like "this universe is too perfect, everything fits too well, it`s either made by something (but then where does that something live and why does it live and who made it) or there`s just so many universes out there with different things happening, that this one had to happen at some point because *everything* happens at some point.
I think that's what doddleoddle was trying to get at to be honest. But the alcohol was clouding her ability to say those exact words :)
Another thing is that there's no single definition of what "perfect" is, so when somebody says "this universe seems too perfect to be created by random chance", what they'e really saying is "this universe seems too perfect FOR ME to be created by random chance". In other words, they're talking about their relationship to the universe, not making an observation about how the universe really is. However, that person, and all their millions of ancestors, grew up in this universe and adapted and evolved to thrive in it, so it would actually be rather odd if it they and the universe hadn't ended up being pretty well suited to each other. It isn't that the universe is perfectly adapted to humans (so it must have been created by some human-like supernatural entity), it's that humans are perfectly adapted to the universe.
The bit of the universe that makes the likelihood of your internet connection going down directly proportional to the length of the comment you're typing on youtube and how far into re-typing it you are could definately use a bit more finessing, mind you....
ChewingSand alcohol does have that effect. Oh well, we got the idea. Mostly. :p
Harold Smith from what I gathered (I try not to look into the whole anthropic principle thing too much because of existential crises and stuff), scientists tend to go for the "why is everything so perfectly balanced to allow for human life" instead of the "why is human life so perfectly balanced for this universe" which is not something I`d really considered, strangely enough, despite always pointing out that looking for planets with oxygen and water because "those are more likely to have alien life" is a bit weird as life on earth does not even always have those same requirements.
But, although I get that it`s a bit of a "give and take" thing, we adapted to the universe, etc,
that still does mean that the first conditions had to be perfect to allow for this development in the first place.
And it`s still a bit mindboggling to consider that if we`d been a tiny bit closer to the sun or the earth had been a tiny bit bigger or smaller, or the big bang had instead been a mediocre bang, or an asteroid didn`t hit us ages ago to create the moon (or however the moon ended up around here), all of this life probably wouldn`t have happened, just like it didn`t happen (as far as we know) on the other planets in our little solar system. And then it goes on, like "if those two people 50000 years ago hadn`t met, I wouldn`t exist" etc. So yes we adapted to the universe but the universe did provide the perfect circumstances and then kept them coming to allow all this to happen. It`s all so dependent on chance, it`s a bit weird.
Although on the other hand I do think it`s pretty arrogant how often these theories consider humans "special" and "important" and "why do *we* exist" and "why are we smart enough to observe it all" when really, we could be the dumbest fucks around here in the emptiest part of the emptiest universe, we just don`t know. It`s probably because we have nothing to compare ourselves to combined with a lot of arrogance, but still.
I personally also think it`s a bit scary how only 1 law of physics has to change the tiniest bit to completely eradicate us all. Like "welp I wobbled and now humanity is flung off the Earth into space and everyone dies, sorry". Which is extremely unlikely, I know. STILL. And this is why I`m not supposed to be thinking about this XD
The internet on a whole can do with a bit more finessing tbh. Less trolls would be nice.
ChewingSand WHAT?! Alcohol does WHAT ??Surely you jest! Alcohol helps us to eat food poorly made and stuff.
=Me.=
Charlotte vlogs The thing is, since we don't know enough to say whether we're the only form of intelligent life that's possible in this universe, let alone in any of the infinity of slightly different universes that might have happened, we can't really say how "remarkable" it is that this universe "just happened" to be perfect for intelligent life. For all we know, all the universes next door could be full of methane-breathing, crystaline intelligent life forms that thrive on planets with twice the temperature and half the gravity of Earth who are all WAY smarter than us, and our universe was the exceptional, profoundly UN-lucky one that ended up stuck with squishy hot humans.
Even the Earth wasn't always so perfect for us shaved apes. For millions of years it had too much CO2 for us and an entire eco-system based on anerobic bacteria. If air-breathing bacteria that turned the CO2 into oxygen hadn't evolved, who knows what the CO2 breathers might have evolved into? The "invention" of an oxygen-rich atmosphere was a disaster for the anerobes from thir point of view. Then for millions more years, the oxygen levels were high enough to allow giant insects, and then dinosaurs had a pretty good run at it until that pesky asteroid came along. In either of those periods, you'd have said that this universe was "amazingly" well suited to ten-foot bluebottles or huge lizards, not us.
Anyway, I need to adapt my kitchen into a place where new forms of life can't evolve, then I need to adapt that bottle of beer to make it lighter and dryer, and then I need to sleep before I cease to qualify as an example of allegedly intelligent life myself, so I'll say goodnight! :-)
Are friendships better as an adult
bc in high school you have to see your friends everyday and it's not really a choice
but when you're adult you only see your friend when you choose to, so it shows that you're liked
idk I just want friendships like the ones Hazel has in her tipsy talks
starseer73 I wonder about this too. In school though I had stronger friends because I did see them everyday and we would decide to meet up. At university I see some friends everyday but they dont become more than acquiatances, whereas you make stronger friends out of groups and stuff. I guess we'll see when we become adults.
Tipsy talk is my favourite thing on UA-cam
I love your nail varnish hazel and your hair is amazing as usual

Watching this again after a few months...the look of confusion and horror on Hazel's face when Dodie talks about the latex from SBZ...
This was absolutely lovely. Also found out that i really enjoy your laugh, so there's that, too.
Does everyone get this profound when they drink alcohol?
