If you want to expirience dragula at its finest I would deffinetly recomend S2 and S4, those were deffinetly peak tv in general, S3 wasn't as good as the other seasons and S1 is extremly rough in just about every way.

what The Boulet Brothers reaaally want to see from the competitors is them facing their fears and showing that they would overcome any obstacle to get the crown
they want to see will
and of course the way they evaluate the challenges is how the contestants drag apply to it
they want professionalism and relatability too
no drama and messiness from the winner
it’s much broad and open minded than Drag Race when it comes to judging
also when it comes to the ghouls
the type of drama you saw with abhora is the type of drama that usually appears every season
every season has a looot of drama cause these monsters keep it veeeery real
i really recomend season 2 (which to me is the best drag competition act that i ever watched) and season 4

Loving this! Always enjoy seeing people finding the Dragula community, and your look was stunning and very on-brand! Also Victoria is a beast in this scene. The Boulet Brothers themselves have said on record that it could almost be unfair to not pit her against other winners because of how formidable a contestant she can be.

You have to go back and watch seasons 2, 3, 4 and resurrection. The first season was on UA-cam and they were trying to find their footing that's why it was so raw. Season 4 imo was perfection.

I’m Team Victoria, too. She’s been serving up show stopping looks since her start in Season 2 (the season with the best people, IMO) and has been SO CLOSE to the crown… I REALLY want her to win this time and am so amped up to see what else she creates. Hope you get a chance to see her in Resurrection, too, as she gets some quality time in that special and you can see her workshop and HOW she creates a lot of her SFX.
And yes, you’re exactly correct in saying the first episode of the first season was super rough. Thank goodness the show picked up steam and added production value, not to mention a quality prize purse for the winner.

So happy you’re watching Dragula. Extermination challengers were their form of elimination challenges. Like jumping out of plane, tattoos, electrocution etc lol. Whoever did the best and faced their fear the most got to stay. It’s interesting because the exterminations in past seasons has really helped some girls get it together and start killing it!

In her original season she was critiqued for being unable to show her personality, and based on this first episode that's not the case anymore. She is super talented and her only hinderance from the past seem to be gone now, so no one can stop her. team victoria all the way

I love your reaction, and I do understand why you don’t get some of the references, like the extermination challenges. My suggestion would be to watch some of S3 and S4 before you watch the next Titans episode, so some things will make much more sense.
It’s very much like trying to get all the Drag Race All Stars references without watching the regular seasons first.

So an extermination challenge is an extreme challenge that puts them through some of their worst fears, some was a simple photo shoot while tides are coming in, other can be jumping from a plane or even having needles impaled through your skin.
Loved Victoria on her season, and on the halloween special from last year, love miss Melissa smart and was labled as a pageant queen on her season so yeah, and miss koko Caine oh the God of funny TV.
Top 3 so far VEB, Hoso, Melissa or koko I'm fine with either.

I think that format is fun. I think it gave some power to the monsters to strategize in elimination but not to much power. I love the fact that they don’t decide who go home and it is up to the judges at the end. So I think it would be messy and I would love to see how alliance comes to play.

First off, a word of advice: throw EVERYTHING you know about drag out the window when watching this!! As the Boulets stated: Drag is Art & Art is subjective. They will be judging their drag according to what the CHALLENGE asks for.
Second, FYI, Melissa (S1), Victoria (S2) & HoSo (S4) were in the Top 3 (or 4) in their respective seasons. I see HoSo & Victoria going all the way to the end. Evah & Koco are MY dark horses for this season.
Third, the DRAMA MAMAAAA!! ALREADY!! The love triangle!! The reaction to Victoria’s entrance (rightfully so as she ALMOST won Season 2)!! Last but not least, ABHORA!!
SOOOO…as far as this challenge goes, Victoria deserved the win. That was a fully realized character. Astrid was next for me. As far as the bottoms go, for ME, they were correct. KoCo may have missed some steps but at LEAST she (& Erika) knew the words AND they knew what character she was representing. Erika’s bat was too cutesy for me. Abhora…🤦🏾♂️…I don’t think her head was in the game at ALL!! Her intro in the challenge spoke VOLUMES. She ended up bringing Erika down with her performance as well. She deservedly needed to go back to Oblivion.

You should also definitely watch the other Seasons.. 1…not so much, but definitely the others! They’re afraid of Victoria because she almost won her Season and the Resurrection Season. She also works at the Haunted Attractions in California and designs amazing sets and does amazing prosthetics

Other seasons' episodes are way shorter. You should definitely watch at least S2 cause that's great TV. If you don't mind spoilers, should also watch Ressurection, it's way shorter than a regular season cause it was filmed during the pandemic and it's basically a ball challenge+documentary and VICTORIA and Kendra are in it (it's after S3 and before S4 and Titans)
