Yess you should it's great! I'd reccomend starting with season 4 (the season that had Trixie, bob) just because the production was a bit lower in the first few seasons (a la drag race seasons 1, 2, 3) but season 4 is just amazing (the other three are great too but it's easier to get into starting with the later seasons imo)!
If you do, start with season 2 and go from there. Season 1 production was bad bad, season 2 production wasn't great either but the queens were excellent

I used to find it ironic how Phi Phi got to judge Dragula before Sharon Needles, but after hearing about her past, it makes me wonder if the Boulet brothers ever had a experience with her or they just didn’t want that association with something problematic.
Spooky and kooky and stupid and beautiful as she is, it's just bad for business to associate with Sharon right now, and they've got a show to run. It takes way too much work to make a TV show to potentially fuck it all up by bringing on a guest that would attract so much negative attention.

Honestly respect to these queens because the guest judges are icons just not on RPDR, but more importantly, outside of the show. And I think that it is important for more well known queens (especially because RPDR has such a larger audience than Dragula) to bring some attention to this show. I also love hearing the respect that the Ru queens have for the queens on Dragula, not just on the show, but also outside (Abhora winning one of Alaska's competitions, Bob being friends with biqtch, etc).

I wish drag race could respect other forms of drag. It’s so tiring to watch even “slightly” different queens get treated like they’re the ONLY ones to have ever done something wild and be discarded. Dragula made my love for drag reignite and reminded me of why I fell in love in the first place.

Something I realize with Dragula vs RPDR is that the judging doesn’t feel as CATTY on Dragula. Like instead of saying “GlAm YoUr LeWk Up SwEaTiEe!!!” They’re actually pointing out legitimate critiques (spotty makeup, shoes not matching). RPDR has devolved to a point where the judges are so obsessed with making their critiques catty one liners that we lose the critique.

Same, Iwatched s1 of Dragula when it first came out and then stopped. Month ago I watched the rest of the series and now I'm hooked. Much prefer Dragula over drag race but I still enjoy watching drag race but some series can be hit or miss.
Most of the dissatisfying parts were not the drag though. Too much drama and production garbage. I have faith that it will be better next season though

RPDR is more of like a Reality Supermodel thingy. DRAGULA has the essence of drag themes, and I am living for these looks. I also agree that RPDR shiuld have the previous queens as guest judges. For variety. And to help some queens to reintroduced. Love both shows btw.

dragula is soo cool, the best part is the floorshows. they’re so dynamic and feature the contestants looks so well. and the on sight episodes are SO cool, like the wild west one, or the hospital one! and omg the extermination challenges are TERRIFYING sometimes like the needle one,, literally have to look away every time. the budget is low the first couple seasons but SO worth watching
Low-key, i kind of miss that spotlight introduction on the balcony, but it's still exciting seeing other well-known queens. I remember my first time watching dragula and being obsessed with the horror aesthetic and how drastically different it is! It's fun and creative and makes you a little uneasy but those are some of the best parts

The problem with the community/fan base is that many take Phi Phi EDITS as gospel. From what I know the man behind the makeup is very nice and super talented and just got her career f'd because of that edit.

The fact that Alaska was there for both Abhora being a chicken and catching a pheasant is a hilarious storyline. They just need Abhora to show up as a Chicken Rancher in Season 6 on the episode Alaska is guest judging.
Willam is hysterical! Alaska is iconique and truly knows reality tv and selling a full concept for a challenges like this so she was a great judge. PhiPhi does have incredible looks but what I got jump scared by those ridiculous helmets the Boulet’s had on bahahaha they looks so funny.
I'm surprised Valentina hasn't been a judge lol. She won one of their dragula competitions when she was starting out and shes been headliner for their shows in LA a couple times

Okay everyone always hates Phi Phi but as a judge, the critiques were all so constructive and accurate!!
The problem with the community/fan base is that many take Phi Phi EDITS as gospel. From what I know the man behind the makeup is very nice and super talented and just got her career f'd because of that edit.
Phi Phi gave the best feedback overall, it was very constructive and she always managed to communicate in an uplifting way

That’s Katya’s whole thing, but you should know she’s never a hater, it’s just her humor

Willam is hysterical! Alaska is iconique and truly knows reality tv and selling a full concept for a challenges like this so she was a great judge. PhiPhi does have incredible looks but what I got jump scared by those ridiculous helmets the Boulet’s had on bahahaha they looks so funny.
