- In this video I read what I sleuthed out to be the possible best books of 2023 according to the Goodreads Choice Awards, NPR’s books we love (apps.npr.org/b..., and NoveList as well as creators like myself on booktube! You read quite a variety of books. Chain-Gang is my first book to read in the month of March! I love a good graphic audiobook! I'll have to listen to it for Fourth Wing. I'm sorry you didn't like it as much, but that's okay though!

I wanted to share about SMP because I think the boycott is getting lost on UA-cam and while I don’t have much of a following it’s still something I can do to contribute. I hope you like Chain-Gang! I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it. I think listening to the GraphicAudio for Fourth Wing helped me enjoy it. It was super fun for what it’s worth and I recommend because even though it wasn’t my favorite book I had a great time listening to the graphicaudio!
Ummm your Fourth Wing review had me cackling it was so spot on! The amount of name dropping in Fourth Wing and Iron Flame is bananas, I ended up just accepting I wasn't going to be able to keep track 🙃 Team "Here for the Dragons". Will probably pick up the third book when it comes out but I'm glad to have this break right now.
Also, I can't lie, I had to look up what a graphic audio book was and I can't believe I didn't know before 😅I'm about to binge a ton more books via my headphones lol
As someone who grew up next door to an apple orchard in Michigan and was actively involved in theatre and also spent most of the pandemic there, I think it's a new obligation of mine to read Tom Lake. I knew it was popular but didn't know much about it but it sounds like a lovely read 🥰Been missing my Michigan home (especially in the summer)

Graphic audio is so much fun. They mostly do sci fi and fantasy and there’s even a few romance productions they’ve done too. If your library has hoopla you can listen for free! You are going to LOVE Tom Lake. You must listen to the Meryl Streep version too. I can only imagine how much it’ll resonate with you as a Michigan native because I’ve never set foot and I was like TAKE ME BACK TO TOM LAKE
I read Fourth Wing last weekend and I was shocked at the writing more than anything, it just seemed so bad imo … The story was so interesting, but I gave up on the characters 🤣
I’m glad I’m not alone on this one 😅. You gonna read Iron Flame? I probably will. It may have been a bit of a train wreck but it was still pretty entertaining lol
