You did a great job, thank you for not going too quickly. I have the same paper, the same paper cutter and the same metal ruler, so was kind of deja vu for awhile there lol. Thank you!!

Thanks so much for this video! I love these pocket folders and made a couple a few weeks ago. I wondered then about laminating them and you have shown me that it is possible to do. Your tutorial was very clear and precise; easy to follow. Read the comments and picked up some good ideas from them. Paper crafters are so nice and so willing to share--that's one reason I enjoy this community so much! Thanks for being right there at the forefront!

Awesome! After I cut out the folder I ran it back thru the laminator and folded it while still warm that way I don't have to lightly break the laminate in the fold. Works great! Thanks!!

    Just a suggestion....
I have a horrible time keeping my paper straight on my cutter. Not even pressing down was working that well. I found a solution that works well for me. I use a piece of removable scotch tape. I stick the paper right onto the cutter. Lifts off easily, and I can use the same piece through many items of a project. It helps with that bit of movement while I'm holding down the paper.

+scrapcraftastic Thank you for this video!!! How does sparkly paper and holographic paper take to lamination? Have you tried it? Does it make sparkly paper dull and weird looking or does it look just as shiny as it did without lamination? Also with holographic paper does the lamination create weird patterns like those old plastic sticky we used to use for book covers? Lol thank you!!!

Very pretty! I learned the hard way about not cutting inside the air bubble on my first try! Did the paper start to separate from the laminate after using it for awhile since you had to break the seal?

    • @scrapcraftastic

No, it hasn't separated. I think running it through the laminator again after breaking the seal would help with that. Thanks for watching!

Apologies…late to the party, but…this video is awesome!
Tip for paper separating from laminate…the first time I used Pen + Gear laminate pouches from Walmart. Got separation immediately. Then used Scotch brand laminating pouches and worked like a charm. Took Scrapcraftastic advice and ran through again after breaking seal…perfect!

Do you think you could laminate it first and then glue it all together and eliminate the need to open up the pockets or is it too thick to do that? Just wondering if you tried it that way. thanks for the video

    • @scrapcraftastic

+Kaila Ramesh I use a We R Memory Keepers Crop-A-Dile and it has 1/2" and 1/4" corner rounders.

Scrapcraftastic is it the corner chomper tool? I'm assuming it is.. I've seen several corner rounders that are cheaper, but I read that these can be used on leather?! I'm wanting to learn how to work with leather. Eventually I'm hoping to be able to make my own traveler's notebooks! 🙂

+Kaila Ramesh yes, I have some small EK Success Punches that are corner rounders, but they don't work on chipboard, laminate and other heavyweight materials, that's why I got the corner Chomper. If you have one of the big craft stores in your area, you could use a coupon. That's what I did.

+521LakeStreet yes, are you looking for the finished dimensions or the size you would need to make the folder? I have a standard folder template available in my shop at scrapcraftastic.com. Thank you for watching!

What laminator brand would you recommend ? I am new at this and don't have a clue. I did see one at Walmart in their office section and I wanted to buy it but I wanted to do a little research beforehand. They had refill laminating film right next to it on the shelf. I don't remember the brand name but I am pretty sure it was Scotch or some famous brand that makes tape also. Please help if you have time. Thanks so much...Thumbed up and subscribed..great video!!

+Debbie Lee thank you! I use Scotch 3mil laminate. I have a very old laminator, but I also purchased a Scotch laminator when they were on sale a few months ago as a backup. So I recommend Scotch.
