@@LenOliver-yz6os well, let me be that "actually" 🤓person here; we do not descend from apes. We have the same ancestors and then the branch split where we developed into humans and the other branch into apes.
15:31 Caeser loved Charles almost as much as he loved Will. He knew Charles wasn't altogether right in the head, and was furious that humans who lived next door did not see that.
I love John Lithgow!! He is frustratingly underrated as an actor. “3rd Rock From the Sun” was so good. His whole career is great. “Harry and the Hendersons”!! lol Such a wonderful and diverse career. From funny to dramatic he is always amazing and a scene stealer.
Andy Serkis is the pioneer of motion capture performance! My man is the GOAT. The next films are even better and Andy only improves even though he didn’t need to!
I cant express enough how much I love this movie ❤ when ceasar said no the whole theatre had chills. It was epic. Cant wait to watch the rest with you.
In the first one when they're walking through the camp you can hear someone doing a sermon, And they say something to the effect of, "our savior spoke the First Words of ape kind, and he spoke, and the word was NO."
The whole trilogy is insanely good. I’d say it is 100% the best trilogy since the lord of the rings trilogy for sure. Granted its Andy Serkis the mocap king (also played gollum) 😂
When Caesar said "NO!" the theater I was in went dead silent, like out souls left our bodies and each and every one of us felt like the inferior species humans are destined to become. And I broke that silence with a loud "YES!!!"
If I worked in a place like that... and I saw the chimps having a meeting.... It would be the start of the longest lunch break in history. I've got to head home to work on my resume. Then schedule time to choose or buy outfits for interviews. But I would NOT be there for whatever shenanigans followed.
He’s good at playing psychos or serial killers. He’s the bad guy in Ricochet just fucking up Denzels life. He’s also the serial killer in Brian DePalma’s Blow Out.
Koba gives bonbobos a bad name. Kanzi is a fascinating bonbobo he can recognize over 3,000 human words, start a campfire, cook pasta, do a photoshoot (Kanzi is the Zoolander of great apes) & LEGIT beat Minecraft (he plays against a Twitch streamer that doesn't know he's an ape too).
The apes franchise is top tier in my opinion, so many fire films and this trilogy is on another level the way they show Caesar's beginnings as a leader and the easter eggs from the 1968 film.
"Where there is fire there is smoke. And in that smoke, from this day forward, my people will crouch and conspire and plot and plan for the inevitable day of man's downfall." Ceasar, Conquest of the Planet of the Apes, 1972
I knew you would love this film! Btw, John Lithgow (the dad) is definitely not slept on. The man is an accomplished actor with loads of accolades. He’s received 6 Emmy Awards, 2 Golden Globe Awards, 3 SAGs, and 2 Tony Awards as well as a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He’s been nominated for several Academy Awards (Oscars), BAFTA Awards, and Grammy Awards.
You are 100% correct on how all of them coming together was a beautiful thing. From the center, the lab, and the zoo...all worked together for a common goal. If all of us could accomplish this, could you imagine? 🌈
"If all of us could accomplish this, could you imagine? " People come together all the time and that leads to all conflict in the world. When one group fights another, it's more than likely because they are trying to make their group 'all' people.
ALL OF THIS. This movie has my HEART, and so does this channel. All hail EOM Reacts! Best reaction to RotPA I've ever seen. On. POINT! And Andy Serkis should have ten Oscars, by now. That's how I know the Academy Awards is rigged.
I never thought about that but he does seem like a live action Curious George, especially in his younger years. James Franco just needs a giant yellow hat! LOL
Ive watched this trilogy so many times an only now realized Ceasar has always had heightened charisma and the wingman bit with the vet was pretty much the earliest example of it
John Lithgow has been nominated twice for an Academy Award (for Terms of Endearment & The World According to Garp). I believe he also won an Emmy for his guest starring role on Dexter.
This is another one that i watched because I saw you were. I've avoided this because I love chimps gorillas and other primates because of my exposure to so many documentaries by Jane Goodall and ones on Dian Fossey when I was a kid. I just didn't think I could enjoy it Some points are hard to watch like you experienced and there are a few glaring lab protocol plot holes with the pregnancy blood test and the virus. However I thought this was entertaining and its getting me to have a movie marathon with my spouse on the series because I gotta see this play out now. I appreciate you for getting into this
Andy Serkis is amazing. But also so is the expert who trained him, and the other 5 or 6 actors who played the other main apes and ALL the apes seen. There’s just a handful of actors that played all the apes. Watch some behind the scenes videos. They’re amazing.
Last video I commented on, was The Dark Knight Rises. I gave compliments to the person who puts the curse edit icon over the murder whistle. The Bane mask has been my absolute favorite.... This just became number 2 on my tier list.
a small recommendation when you see the next ones.. Always try to turn on the subtitles, I have had to see reactions from people who watch the entire movie without realizing that the apes are speaking in sign language and the movie does not show them the subtitles until they realized it 😆
8:50 Animal children are a lot like human children; we can teach 'em to not go outside without permission or whatever else but that doesn't always stop 'em 😂
17:22 C'mon bruh... "It's a mad house! A mad house!" ... that's from the OG movie when the apes are hosing Charlton Heston down. 29:41 another from the OG... gotta love the references.

hi, thankyou for reacting and watching the reboot planet of the apes trilogy. I adore this Trilogy Rise, Dawn War and now the new one Kingdom are masterpieces to me and sadly criminally unappreciated and underrated by many others. I hope you’ll continue this trilogy with Dawn and War and the rest of Caesars story because if you love this one the next two get better and better. Andy Serkis who does the cotton capture for Caesar is fantastic. All the actors who play the apes are. I saw Rise, Dawn, War and Kingdom at the cinema here in Scotland, UK and fell in love with them and Caesar. i watch this trilogy every two to three weeks it’s gotten that bad. I’m looking forward to Kingdom coming out on dvd and streaming then i can do the same with that one too. The new one Kingdom takes place 300 years after War which is the third instalment in this trilogy and Caesars story. Thanks again for watching Rise, I’ll check back in with you when you watch Dawn. Maurice for me, always.

The only thing worse than James Franco as an actor.
Except he wasn't the ape handler, he was a drug maker. The ape handler should have known. So, the joke is mute.
I’ve always said, he’s totally miscast as anything but a stoner.

Maybe Hollywood will evolve to that point where they’ll consider these kinds of performances.
Eh, I believe that by and large our opinions matter far more than an Oscar EVER could.

John Lithgow was Franco's father. J , John Lithgow was in Harry and the Hendersons, a movie about Bigfoot.
Have to watch the Bigfoot movie a few more times. Have it on dvd.
His best performance is in Brian De Palma's Raising Cain. He's on another level in that one.
Yea, he should definitely watch Harry and thr Hendersons it's so good.
Also known as the Trinity Killer
He’s good at playing psychos or serial killers.
He’s the bad guy in Ricochet just fucking up Denzels life.
He’s also the serial killer in Brian DePalma’s Blow Out.
Also, you're spot on about Andy Serkis.
John Lithgow does get his due from people who know, but he should be in more conversations about top-tier actors.
Absolutely!
