Really strange that Files by Google doesn't allow access to this, but third party file managers do allow it. Kinda frustrating but whatever

Google owns the android operating system. They don't want you side-loading apps and mods when they can make money from you using google play instead, so if course they will block the precious obb files that make Google a useless company, damn greedy bastards

I am experiencing this specific issue, I used Winrar for android and was able to extract the files to the folders, but couldn't move the files from there.

Worked for my Android 12 Samsung tablet. I tried a handful of other apps, this one worked amazing.

S22 Ultra - every time I try to give X-Plore "special access to internal storage" (the android/data folder), when pasting a copied file. it fails. Trying to copy a file from a data folder to downloads folder for uploading to Drive (or any folder that will allow transfer to PC). How to you get around this?
I think you can connect your phone to your Pc with the charge wire(usb), then you can enter to the android data folder in your Pc, thats let me copy a file from my phone to my pc, but you cant copy a file from pc to your phone.
By the way, how do I reset the pop up about asking me if I allow the app access? It never asked me that just says "access denied" on xplore and even clearing the data and reinstalling doesn't seem yo reset the prompt about allowing xplore access to obb and data.
I don't have the option on my Android TV box either. Bummer.

Nice video munchy but I have a question. I watched your call recording video, so recording is working great. Im on A11 and have Magisk. I cannot access the data/data folder. The Solid Explorer, X-Plore, Amaze Apps say "Since Android 11 the app has limited access to this directory" BUT I can access that folder with FX File Explorer. Is there anything that I can do for this accession problem? Or should I wait for the Solid Explorer update?

Do you have a solution for the same but for Chromcast TV (Google TV) with Android 12? Since Android was updated we no longer have access to the ANDROID/DATA folder, all kinds of external apps have been tried to try to access it, but Chromcast TV doesn't even have its own "default file manager" anymore. to generate those permissions to third-party App.
I have entered several forums and all report the same problem. With version 11 of Android there was no such problem.

Tried using this on android 14, and wow, android really doesn't want you to mod ANY app on a phone. I tried it on 2 file managers and they both weren't able to access through this loophole.
I tried not one but 5 FILE MANAGERS already!! And I still can't access it. My only choice was to debug my phone and change it back to android 11.

In my phone it's not working out of suddenly I did not update my phone or did not do anything. I can't access obb or Android
I tried but on multiple file managers not all apps show up in obb. GTA San Andreas used to show up in obb a few months ago when I installed it, but I uninstalled and only recent redownloaded but the obb folder for the game is hidden.

Android has been so annoying lately especially after 11. I can view files in data folders, but cant move or copy anything, so I cant move saves from my games. Might as well just stick to iPhone and jailbreak the damn thing at this point

i can access and copy a file inside data and i can access a folder inside data but i stil can't copy a file inside a folder that is inside data. So i doesn't solve my issue...

I think Zarchiver is one of the best file manager which has simple ui, allowing us to manage root files also(only for root user), built in compressor and extracter, and especially has 0 adds. It also allow user access android/data and obb folders. You should give it a try. I installed both solid explorer and Zarchiver at the same time, and I liked Zarchiver lot cause of simple, add-free ui

Doesn't work, you need a ROOTED phone. Just send me to screen where I have to click "acces This folder" but doesn't give access to obb for privacy reasons.... Bullshit video
