Description
With Android 13, you would no longer be able to access the data and obb folders on your device, at least not the 'native' way.
However, using a handy workaround, you could easily access both the data and obb folders on your Android 13. And this video will show you how to do just that.

Thank you so much. It took few years but we have reached point where manufacturers and developers have removed expandable storage, headphone jacks and now access to file systems of devices we have bought and paid for. Future is grim.
Google Files in the version reinstalled on ArrowOS 13 is to blame. Most old versions of this program allow you to grant these permissions (there were only a few releases that had a bug that prevented it). Unfortunately on ArrowOS13 they install as a different package and don't work.
I didn't expect it to work because i have tried in past lot of method to access it but failed but this time it worked , i am totally surprised it worked on my xiaomi 11X which has android 13. You made my day man.........thank you.........
I don't get what they are trying to accomplish by not letting you access the Data folder! Some apps require you to add files into the data folder to WORK. Like emulators. Also my password wallet to update the saved password file requires you to be able to access its Data folder to copy and paste and backup your current passwords. I need to access its Data folder to get this file and copy paste it. These assholes don't understand how important you need to access the data folder since thry cannot let you root now.

But in my case i need to access the downloaded files from telegram X which will be saved to the data folder. But I can't open or delete the files inside the data folder. All I can do is just view the files. Any fix for this?

Doesn't work on pixel 7 pro. Says "file operation is not supported" so no hd textures in dolphin emulator for me.. it let me follow all the steps, just still won't write to android/data/dolphinemu/load/textures...

That's a great question Kuldeep. In such cases, you could do two things [disable the default manager app beforehand]-
1] If you wish to upload a file placed in the data or obb folder to a third-party app, then make sure to select the hidden AOSP File Manager as the native file chooser app and then upload the desired file.
2] Open the hidden AOSP File Manager in the upper window and open the upload file section of the desired third-party app in the lower window. Then drag the desired file from the file manager app and drop it over to the third-party app.

Thanks, still working as of March 26 2023. Finally managed to restore my WhatsApp media (images, videos, voice notes, documents, stickers) to my new phone. Somehow WhatsApp fail to restore my backup;s media files, so I have to manually copy from my old phone into the Android/data folder.
If you're trying this, take note the chat backup should be restored by WhatsApp via the proper way. Only the media files are guarantee to work.

They did it to stop app pirating... none of these works... but if u have a PC u can access the obb and data file.... and install any game just like we do it on phone... I am sorry for those guys who may not have access to a PC but this is the only working solution

Yea I tried doing the above video to transfer Minecraft world saves but when I drag the save over it just says file format not supported, will try the pc method later, getting fed up with android I get the app pirate stuff but it's annoying for genuine users who want to use their old game saves on newer phone.
@@Megalocade u can export from in-game an mcpack of world of Minecraft and send that mcpack to the new phone and launch it through there.. no need to go in data storage and do copy paste stuff

Or you could just follow the guide and move files by drag & drop..
To copy just move to a folder outside /Android, copy and then move it back to /Data or/Obb
