The film was based off of a character in the Marvel comics, and the film was advertised with the Marvel branding, hence it's a Marvel film. That'd be like saying if "The Batman" flopped (which it didn't) people couldn't call it a flop because it wasn't apart of the DCEU. Thanks for the view :)
