You can also leave boxes blank, including putting a 1 beside who you want to vote for and leaving the rest blank. Unlike in Britain, if you put an x on the ballot paper you've spoiled your vote. Ironically - the Monarchy is strong defence against dictatorship. If anyone PM tried to threaten democracy, she could simply suspend parliament and call a general election - and most of the machinery of the state would back her without question.
Stastically speaking randomness isnt acttually randomn when you can know and predict that it is going to be a randomn statstic. How can it be randomn if you know it will be randomn?
I think you misinterpret the monarchy; it's origin, purpose and current function. It is precisely because the monarchy has been gelded that it is innocuous enough. It's hardly a defence against dictatorship, it has been coerced into submission to democracy ('compromise') and the whole system only happens to work...for now.

Unlike the British monarchy, the Emperor of Japan no longer has any of those powers - officially or otherwise - under the postwar constitution. His role is now actually properly ceremonial in the sense that his presence is legally a formality.

He was invited to take the throne on the death of Queen Anne (sister of Mary II, who came over with her husband Willam of Orange to kick the catholic James II off the throne back in 1689.)
@John Broadhurst my point being that it's false to say that the Queen's great great etc grandparents weren't German. In fact Queen Victoria's husband Prince Albert was also German, so yes, the Queen's great great grandfather was actually German.

In many, many ways you're absolutely correct. A partyless parlament would actually be more likely to be in agreement, because then none of the MPs have to bow to a higher power but instead are there in the peoples name free to do as they see fit. Ireland basically adopted this system when we got independence except we're a Republic so we've a president instead of a Queen and he (or she) is chosen by the people and our voting system of proportional representation gives everyone running for election a better chance than the British one. Instead of x for your favourite candidate you put 1 beside your favourite candidate and 2, 3, 4 etc. beside candidates from most to least preferred other candidates. You can also leave boxes blank, including putting a 1 beside who you want to vote for and leaving the rest blank. Unlike in Britain, if you put an x on the ballot paper you've spoiled your vote. We only use x's for referenda*.

To the people saying “OUTDATED” “FIX NOW” “UPDATE THE VIDEO”
First of all, it takes months to make a single, very-informative video and leaving those comments won’t speed up the process.
Secondly, you do realise all you have to do is replace “Queen Elizabeth” with “King Charles” in your head and suddenly it’s updated for you? You don’t need a whole other upload just to do that simple task.
Third, if videos were erased every time they get outdated, there would be over half less UA-cam videos than there are now. That’s like destroying the great pyramids because they “aren’t modern”
All I'm hearing is that we should replace all the Egyptian and Sudanese pyramids with bass pro shops

Jay Foreman Also Parliment means Barbershop.
Ironically - the Monarchy is strong defence against dictatorship. The Queen is an entirely independent individual who isn't reliant on any group for her wealth or power, and therefore can't be coerced. If anyone PM tried to threaten democracy, she could simply suspend parliament and call a general election - and most of the machinery of the state would back her without question.
Except all those countries with monarchies that became dictatorships
Stastically speaking randomness isnt acttually randomn when you can know and predict that it is going to be a randomn statstic. How can it be randomn if you know it will be randomn?
I think you misinterpret the monarchy; it's origin, purpose and current function. It is precisely because the monarchy has been gelded that it is innocuous enough. It's hardly a defence against dictatorship, it has been coerced into submission to democracy ('compromise') and the whole system only happens to work...for now.
@Fr-h WLH spain is a good example.

In the simplest sense:
Take the US system,
Make the Speaker of the House of Representatives also the President,
Completely neuter the Senate,
You now have, functionally, a system that is basically the same as Canada and the UK. All that other stuff (like the Monarchy) is largely fluff.
