Wish they did more with that idea. They just kinda ignored that movie. Wouldve been natural progression...but then again this is MARVEL...and character CANT grow cause reasons

Controversial opinion but, Storm is more than just somebody's wife. When she reaches the mcu she deserves to be treated like the main character she is.

@@MarkyMark1221 what im trying say is that there is a lot of people who look at her character and see only a wife when she is much more than that. Even the way her character is handled in the comics was always up and down. Atleast recently she has been on a good track. Also with the way Fox portrayed her did not do her character any favors. Which is why when she gets to the movies she should get the full WonderWoman treatment and stay away from Wakanda Atleast for the beginning.

It really pisses me off that we're never going to see this in the MCU since Marvel Studios killed T'Challa off-screen, the death of an actor shouldn't stop the character he portrayed from existing in every media.
And i feel like Chadwick Boseman would be absolutely disgusted if he saw how terribly Marvel is handling the situation.
T'challa & Forge are just two notches in Storm's book of exes now.

I've learned to Hate this pairing, just because it looks good on paper doesn't make good overall. Ororo and T'challa get along greatly...its Storm and Black Panther that's the problem. Whenever they start getting closer here's comes a bullshit event that tears them apart and their collective pettiness and reckless crossing of Boundaries (personal, ethical AND political) makes their relationship the poster child of toxicity
Or a lesson that you can be happily married to a NOT duplicate of yourself

I always saw Storm with Forge and never really understood or got into her dating or even marrying T'Challa, their personalities are so incompatible. T'Challa is a by the book king that wants a "strong" subservient woman to tie down to his kingdom and culture while Storm is a goddess and leader of the X-Men, the whole world is literally her playground, she just wants to hang out with her fellow x-gals, get into a little trouble with Gambit and occasionally enjoy being worshipped by her tribe lol, with that said, their wedding is worth an mcu movie on it's own.
You kind of are correct about the two of them. The thing about Storm and BP's relationship is that they look visually appealing together, like a Jay Z and Beyonce Instagram worhy power couple instead of two people with flaws going into a relationship. Their relationship was never fully realized because we never got to explore the pressure of Storm becoming a queen to a nation that is foreign to her and the pushback/discrimination she may have gotten from the locals. Also how her role as queen may have come into conflict as her role with the X-men. The character of Gentile revealed that Wakandan mutants were treated poorly by other Wakandans but that wasn't explored to its fullest potential. Their relationship is nice but I don't see it as final.
Tchalla is definitely not by the book and doesn't want storm to be some obedient woman. Of course being submissive a little would be nice for any man but and he does not want her to stay in Wakanda. He respects she is a hero in her own right. He himself does not even stay in Wakanda

I cannot describe how much I hated this storyline when it came out. Literally was created because Marvel wanted to attract more female readers. So what do girls like? Girls like weddings! Okay, who’s single? Well, Storm is single. Okay, so who’s a black single man? (Because, it has to be a black man, because reasons…) Oh. Well, T’Challa is single (even though he’s had a long relationship with someone, but we’ll ignore that.)
Ororo and T’Challa met when they were teens. She actually saved him from some poachers when she was on her trek south from Cairo. It was a brief meet and they moved on. Well, how about we change that and he saves HER from those poacher/now rapists, therefore she’ll start to see him as a hero. (Oh, we have them hook up now even though she was originally around 12 or 13 at the time.) And then years later, she still has those feelings for him.
Well, retcon their history so that they’ve met up several times over the years. Oh, and Ororo has grandparents now, that she never knew about and who never looked or contacted her even though she is famous.
So, we’ll take this woman who has been worshipped as a Goddess in various countries AND on other planets, and we’ll make her the queen consort to a sitting king… It’s a lesser position, but you know… marriage, babies… girl readers will love it! 🤬
The annulment was the best decision in this entire mess…
