- Prior to the remodel of the Corp Area, originally built in 1939, then referred to as the "New Area," the Band formed up in front of Dorm 11, Harrington Hall and perpendicular to Duncan Dining Hall and then march to Kyle Field for each football game.
Members of the Aggie Band held Air Force, Army, Navy and Marine Corp contracts, as junior and senior cadets. Enrollment in ROTC for Aggie Band underclassmen was mandatory.
Prior to1973, American men were subject to conscription in the Army.
In 1973, U.S. Forces were in action in Southeast Asia.

Kyle Field still showed its original design as a horseshoe, open at the south end zone.
Kyle Field north end zone spelled "AGGIES" in the horseshoe.
