i find that mineral sunscreens (20% zinc oxide is the ideal) work better for brown skin. alba botanica emollient kids mineral sunscreen is so good for dark skin! my partner is a dark-skinned black woman and it only left a white cast on her if she was still wet when applying the sunscreen. it rubs really well too! i'm tan and use andalou's tinted bb creams with spf for my face + alba or attitude for my body.

It's called Raw Elements Tinted Moisturizer and it comes in a plastic free tin. It's SPF 30 and it has survived all day hikes, a week at the beach, etc. Feels really good on the skin, just highly recommend all around. ✌

(I also usually just use facial wipes if I'm too lazy; lately witch hazel wipes to remove basically just sunscreen and oil .) I love the Heritage rose water too! I've been using Blue Lizard facial sunscreen (mineral) in case anyone is interested in something that works great for me. Let's be cute potatoes together!

Mineral sunscreen is highly processed, but still marketed as natural. I love using whatever will keep my skin from discoloring, because that is what causes skin cell mutation. There are some great formulas out there.

Minerals are chemicals :) In fact a better way of differentiating between the 2 is synthetic vs mineral. Also, there are some great 30+ spf sunscreens that are Mineral ones.
