Hey, you should look into face reality. (They also have a list of aestheticians that they work with.) I HAD cystic acne literally all over my face and my skin has improved so much.

As an esthetician I'm soooo glad you went out to get professional help for your skin. I specialize in acne because of my own acne problems I've had delt with. The saddest part about all of this is during these tough time when you have hell of an acne and at the same time broke and people around you don't understand the pain and emotion one's going thru.. man that hurts so bad :") But am so happy to see the progress Penny and also to see you overcome this acne journey
Funny how my constellation acne of 2 years cured itself once the pandemic hit and we all started to work from home. I could finally sit in a stress-free environment at home, not in a freezing AC office, and could take frequent trips outside in the sun :) (sleeping in a bit more also helped!)
Wow! I thought it was just me. My skin cleared up so well after 3 months of being home. That says A LOT!
I’ve struggled with acne at 23-24 after my skin being fine for the longest time and it was and can be so emotionally hard but you really have inspired me to embrace myself no matter what and be confident even without clear skin ♥️ your awesome !
Girl I feel you, during highschool I was so clueless about skincare until I got cystic hormonal acne and I had no idea how to get rid of it, eventually when I did I literally got the worst physical acne scarring and pigment. My parents weren’t aware of skincare either so I felt alone, plus I didn’t have any money so I have to find strategic ways of getting my own treatment (thanks to dr dray a dermatologist on UA-cam) even with some scarring left, I felt kinda traumatized because everytime I get a singular pimple I freak out and make sure I stay on top of my skin. Thank you for sharing your journey with us, not a lot of youtubers do from what I’ve seen

You have no idea how much this video has helped me. Acne is so mentally scaring. I have a similar story where my skin was super clear and BOOM terrible acne. It’s like I was insecure about my weight so I lost all this weight (20+lbs) and then I got acne ugh! Dealing with it now but I have been focusing on gut health and it seems to be clearing up. It’s like you never really know what the morning will look like and that give me more anxiety. I am going to sign up for better health. Thank you girl…

Get micro needling, my acne was ten times worse and I had horrible scarring Ice pic scars and the micro needling got rid of it 🥰
Cool, how many sessions did you need
@@abhajar I did 3 sessions, one session each month. It was my last ditch effort before a croton peel which is like battery acid, and the micro needling worked wonders for me.

For white cast, avoid sunscreens that contain zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. La Roche Posay has some sunscreens that are free of these two ingredients.

I had some acne when I started wearing my mask daily for work , I switched to a silk mask and it helped and washed my face more often too then I would . I also noticed I couldn't wear any lotion like products anymore bc of the mask it was making me break out. Instead I used oil based moisturizer.

Thank you for making this video!! I grow up with horrible acne from a young preteen to mid 20s. I tired all the skincare programs in my youth, but none worked! With all the media saying if you don't have clear skin you are ugly and you should cover it up. It was GREAT for my young mind!! I finally went to a licensed esthetician in my mid 20s and we worked on my skin for 6 months with a whole lot of money with it. My skin got a bit better, but not clear or not painful. She recommended for me to get on Accutane. I resistant, but finally gave it! The process on Accutane was not pretty, but now I'm post- Accutane with clear skin I would have never dreamed of! Thank you for making a video the accepts differences in people's skin and sometimes getting rid of acne not always for a prettier look, it is for a prettier you! Thank you always love your context!! Trying to become a RN like you , 6 months before I can apply for programs! Thanks for being an inspiration!!!!

Roaccutane was the only thing that sorted my acne. Which started when I was 12, I LEGIT had over oily-ness biologically. Had to try EVERYTHING else before I was allowed roaccutane at 19. xx
I was advised not to do accutane because my skin type is VERY dry so it would have been a disaster

I went to a clinic near me (a GP that runs a skin clinic) and they messed up my skin so bad and left me with my deepest scars :( like permanent tethered scars.. It had good ratings too, but my skin is so sensitive. Now I'm going on Accutane and I'm terrified but honestly I'm so depressed I don't even care anymore.

I used to work at the ATC! I also had them treat my skin (which looked a lot like yours, so I understand the emotional effects!) but the process does work and I've been clear for several years now. Hang in there! Your skin is looking great girl!

Thank you for making this! My skin was the same way up until we started wearing face masks. I found that certain masks like n95's made me breakout much worse. While, regular face masks contributed to closed comedones and irritation.

While products are important in caring for our skin, what we eat has a huge impact. Also hormones. But I think diet and water are the most important practices to have healthy skin.
Drink enough water and if you have chronic acne try cutting out dairy for a couple weeks to see if your skin improves.

I never got cheek acne till a couple months ago (I was also really stressed during the time) but I started washing my pillow case every week and my acne went away. Used a mild facial cleanser or one with no smells or chemicals and it helped a lot.
