Great floss tube ladies. Wow!! Callie you were so lucky to find those amazing cross stitch supplies. I have done that a couple of times at Goodwill. My find was quilting fabric. I was so excited!! Good luck on your new job.
Cutting out stress is healthy! I was working 2 jobs both 40 hours for 13 yrs. I cut out the evening & weekend job.
I was in 3rd grade when Little House on the Prairie books came out and my teacher would read to us after recess to let us cool down from running. But when the show came on mom said she found me crying because the dog died! Happy stitching

Hello Ladies, I have to Thank You for having your Facebook page. Someone had posted a post asking “Where is everybody from” and since then a group of six of us has formed in a centralized area to meet and stitch once a month. We had our first group on Jan. 20th. It’s nice to be in person with others talking everything cross stitch!

Wow Callie! That was quite a find! Some beautiful fabrics and I’m sure you will find some good charts in the binders! We’ve had some ice and very cold weather in the St. Louis area last week too! I have been doing a lot of stitching and staying in the house keeping warm! Have a great 2 weeks!

Here in Eugene, Oregon we had an inch of snow, then it was topped with freezing rain for 4 days. It got down to 19 at night. The last night of freezing rain was finally to much for the trees so we heard branches breaking all night long. Sadly, we lost one whole side of one of my favorite trees. From our yard we can see lots of large broken branches in our neighbors yards. Most of our area lost power for a couple of days but our lights only flickered occationally. Would you believe it was 50 last night! Crazy weather!
I am doing a winter stitch, The Fox by Cottage Garden Samplings. The fox is done and all I have left to stitch are the trees & snowflakes. I'm not putting the cabin on my stitch.

Callie, the way you spoke about all the hours you put in at your job was making me wonder how long you’d stay. And, I’m sure you were FLSA exempt, so no overtime. I was that dedicated at some of my jobs, retired now. My husband always said, “A good job doesn’t love you back”. Glad you made your health and happiness the top priority.
Anything to take stress out of your life is a positive! Keep on stitching!

Thanks for sharing. I'm in Oregon, and we are still recovering from an ice storm. Many are still without power. I was without lights and heat for 5 days. It was 39 degrees inside my house. I was able to stitch a little while mid day when I had enough light. I don't know how those stitchers of the antique samplers did it because I'm here to say stitching by candlelight isn't happening! I'm grateful to be warm and comfy in my stitching chair again and watching your video!

Best of luck Callie on your new job. Hope your 50 minute work commute shorten too, as well as job stress. I used to commute 2 hrs to work am & pm (sometimes longer if raining), driving only 32 miles one way (city freeway traffic the worse). Stay safe cousins with the snow & ice.
