This is really creative! My first thought was "what about the other medals?" and then I remembered by struggle to collect them casually! Maybe the Flux Constructs would be fun? The others are almost guaranteed to be painful.
Yeah I think Gleeoks are the sweet spot since there's enough to make it interesting/varied but doesn't get repetitive. I think having a fair number of flux constructs in the depths would make it tough since going between the depths and surface is kind of a pain (usually requires a warp).
@@strawb4983The the medals work is different in this game. In BOTW you had to beat the game, then speak to Kilton after already finding him at Skull Lake, then he’d give you a medal if you defeated all 40 Hinox, another for all 40 Stone Taluses, and a last for all 4 Molduga. In TOTK, after obtaining the Regional Phenomena quest line, you can speak to an NPC at Lookout Landing and he’ll initially tell you about a Hinox, Talus and Molduga. Once you kill all three, you’ll gain the ability to get their medals and 3 new side quests. You’re then tasked with killing a Gleeok, a Frox and a Flux Construct. Doing that will give you the ability to get the remaining three medals. Lynel’s and Gloom Hands don’t give you any medals, but are technically required for a full Hyrule Compendium and that in itself is required for all paraglider fabrics. If you include Lynel’s and Gloom Spawn, there are around 340 mini bosses (as in not dungeon bosses) spread through out Hyrule, the Sky Islands, The Depths and a singular dungeon.
Great run P5!!! I'd love to see you try and route this glitchless or glitch restricted; I think that'd be really cool to watch, since you have nothing if not skill for playing these games and playing them really quickly too. Keep up the great work
I used a glitch called Zuggle to duplicate the master sword 12 times so every time I attack it's 12x the damage. It's why Link always has the sword attached to his hand even during cutscenes and why there's a loud hum for most of the run. I'm also using the Msg Not Found sword (the master sword from the intro) so it never breaks.
I wonder, do you need the paraglider for this run? It looks like you can control the autobuild cancel really nicely, and enough fairies should be enough to compensate fall damage no? The only time i saw it actually used (beyond the Charmander fuckup) is for the last Gleeok in the Depth, but i dont think it's saving the ~8ish minutes you lose to get the paraglider... And you have the GSI checkpoints so im not sure you absolutely need it for dast travel?
It's necessary for the guy in Lookout Landing to give you the quests (to get the medal). Or rather the Regional Phenomena quest being activated is necessary and the paraglider comes before that. If you were just killing gleeoks it would be possible to skip glider.
The NPC who provides the Gleeok Medal requires you to do defeat various monsters first before he will give you a medal (see the video description). That particular Frox is one of the requirements.
Me, I updated when v1.1.1 was released, and then never installed any updates afterward. But with that no longer being an option, you'd have to use a modded Switch.
@@Player5SR Oh ok, is 12 the max? So you transfer the stats if the hammer that you took to 1 hit away from breaking when on the wings earlier, transferred to the msg sword then zuggled that sword 12 times?
@@jbrown70579 I think 13 is where the game starts to get overloaded which could cause my equipment to desync later so I wanted to avoid that. And yeah that's exactly what I did. 1 durability so that every single hit is a crit and 12 times for a lot of damage.
@@Player5SR ok cool, thanks man! Appreciate it. i just finished my standard play thru and i enjoy trying out some glitches in my subsequent play thru's. Enjoy watching these runs! and appreciate the response to me questions!

this is a really cool run!! the routing is really creative and interesting, i think theres a lot of potential for this and the other monster medals.
I could see some of the other monster medals being ok like flux constructs. They really went ham on adding more hinox/frox/talus.
Ooooh does this mean we may get an all kilton medals speed run?
I don’t think he’s THAT masochistic
Not for this game 😅 There were only like 80 bosses to defeat in BotW where this game probably has 3x that.
@@Player5SR could you do the other bosses separately? That would be fun to watch
Are there even any kilton medals in this game?

All bokoblins speedrun next
Why didn't you use the ceiling glitch at the beginning?
I played on 1.1.1 for faster autobuild cancel slides and the out of bounds clip at the start only works on 1.0
@@Player5SR oh ok, thanks !
Id make a joke, but i cant think of any soooooo
GOOD JOB GG
This took 4510 seconds approximately
Can I ask a dumb question. Why is the master sword so powerful?
I used a glitch called Zuggle to duplicate the master sword 12 times so every time I attack it's 12x the damage. It's why Link always has the sword attached to his hand even during cutscenes and why there's a loud hum for most of the run. Killed king gelook in 5 seconds and just shruggs it off
o7 farewell Toby, king of gleeoks
o7 Toby will be missed
There were no glitches found in this speedrun, P5 just has a good gaming chair
And the master sword is bitching in a never seen way

i think you need it to unlock the medals quest
It's necessary for the guy in Lookout Landing to give you the quests (to get the medal). Or rather the Regional Phenomena quest being activated is necessary and the paraglider comes before that. If you were just killing gleeoks it would be possible to skip glider.
Why was the frox defeated at around 40 minutes when none of the loot is being picked up? Did I miss something there?
You need to defeat at least one of each of the monsters to unlock the dialogue option to get the medals
The NPC who provides the Gleeok Medal requires you to do defeat various monsters first before he will give you a medal (see the video description). That particular Frox is one of the requirements.
Pls do current patch any percent
If there already isn't, I suggest an "who can build the tallest home for Link", only allowing parts that can be bought from the salesman.
100% speedrun soon?
everything must cower before link
Why do you have to kill the Hinox, Talus, and Molduga?
In order to get the quest for the Gleeoks
How did you get the master sword???
That's what I WANNA KNOW
Why do you kill a random hinox and talus at some point ? For scaling enemies or something ? I don't see it
It's part of the quests that are required to get the monster medals.
No more All Glocks 😢
Breath of the Kingdom Hundo Next!! 🔥 🔥 🔥

Why does he do the weapon stat transfer 12 times?
I do the weapon state transfer once and then zuggle the message not found sword 12 times so that I deal 12x damage per hit.
