I am genuinely surprised that glitchless *isn't* a category already. I prefer watching glitchless runs sometimes, because they are so much easier to follow/understand.
Especially since the glitches run just skips the parts that are the most fun to watch at speed. The glitches are too strong to make TOTK speed runs as entertaining as BOTW ones.
This is the run I dreamed of seeing from the moment the game came out. Glitched runs are impressive feats of course, but TOTK gives the player so many systems to work with and so much freedom even without glitches, and I always wanted to see what it would look like for someone to just expertly use every system to maximum advantage. Incredible work!
Poor Ganondorf, getting one hour and eight minutes of freedom after struggling for thousands of years, then getting killed by a mostly naked guy jumping backwards.
This was the coolest run of totk i've ever watched. the routing and the work arounds without the glider are so interesting. and the boss rush on one heart is so impressive.
I think I speak for everyone here when I say I would absolutely love to see more videos like this in the future, hearing you explain your reasoning for everything you do in a run is very fascinating, and your editing is actually really good!! The way you cut out so many unneeded parts makes it so much better to watch
This is the perfect totk speedrun video to me; I've enjoyed watching the any% category from time to time but runners don't necessarily explain all their tech on the run that they WR. Glitchless is a little more engaging to watch as a casual player, also. Thanks Player 5!
This is so awesome, really clear explanations on everything you did, and even what you didn’t do and why, and what might improve the run. This is legit one of the best speedrun explanations videos I’ve ever seen. I have to say that for TotK, I like gitchless runs a lot better than glitched. Part of it is that all the glitches keep getting patched. I know most runners will get a 1.0 or some other early version for different categories, but it makes speedrunning the game feel like it’s more exclusive and leaves out people who might want to do a casual speedrun (like me). Since glitchless has a lot more luck involved though, I can see how in same ways it’s less appealing regardless of version. But also, in BotW for any%, the glitches all are based on movement, and the final boss fights are basically the same as if you couldn’t do glitches at all. But for TotK, glitches help deal more damage and skip boss fights. With glitches the final gauntlet is more who can throw rubies the fastest and most accurately, and who can do the clip and stack weapons quickest. All the big bosses are completely skipped, and damage stacking kills GDorf in single cycles. With glitchless it’s a true gauntlet, and is both exciting and super punishing like you say. In BotW I don’t think the would be much of a point to do glitchless-in any% the glitches are easy, they won’t ever be patched, they help with movement so you’re really just skipping the boring parts, and they’re cool looking. But in TotK I think the glitches are a lot less flashy, you can’t skip the intro, you actually end up skipping more interesting parts of the run, and you never know for a latest patch if they’ll still work.

This video was fantastic. As a big zelda fan and casual speedrun enjoyer, watching glitch runs can be really confusing and make the viewer not really understand how/why things are happening. This video bridges that void perfectly. Your scripting and speaking was perfect also, great work!
This is great, this is what I imagined when first playing the game. Glitches is so much more fun to watch because of the boss rush. I say keep Amiibo’s out of the run as well.
I love glitchless so much, this is amazing! Well done! And awesome "how I did it" as well. As a speedrunning noob it's extremely helpful to appreciate all the skill and work you put into this
You weren’t kidding when you said you had a banger thumbnail 😂 great video! Glitchless runs were so fun to watch, and you did an amazing job explaining the run!
I tried this run myself, although I set a rule for obtaining the Master Sword beforehand, which required some route planning for shrines and location of approach. Glitchless is great due to really crunching down on combat. My time was just over 3 hours. Heaps inspiring seeing you literally third that time.
I already watched the run when you posted it on here, but I was more than happy to watch a second time. Your commentary videos are always great. Hope glitchless is added as an official category soon
I’ve been challenging myself with Minimum% runs and your videos to date have been crucial in helping but THIS video is the most helpful by far. I already knew most of what you shared but did not know about preventing Ganon from switching weapons. I’ve tried no paraglider but can only get the first wall grab. I used fairies to make it to the Army and I can consistently get to Colgera but just can’t 1 cycle his first phase which means I get to the 2nd phase with too few wings and eyeballs left to finish it off but one day. Keep up the great work!
Thank you for this, I really dislike how any% just skips everything engaging. Like the final boss doesn't feel like a final boss because you skip 90% of it and then you one shot him with a glitched weapon. Your run feels like an actual speedrun and not a corrupted copyright of the game
Awesome video! I am as always massively impressed. I haven't applied myself to speedrunning TotK yet (or rather, I gave up after the first few patches bc I got discouraged from things changing heh), but this inspires me to try it glitchless, insanely hard as it looks! Re the video editing, the only suggestion I'd make is to not completely cut out the bits that don't require technique/items explanation, but maybe include them sped-up and/or in a PiP view in the corner (like you did for Zelda's torch). For people wanting to use this video as a guide or refresher w/o watching a full run that could be useful. Thanks so much for this, I hope you make more of these explanatory videos!
Glitchless runs of TOTK/BOTW are more engaging to watch because of the incredible skill level needed to take down each enemy. The last heart instant death risk makes the skill needed to deal with every wave of enemies impressive! This was awesome to watch!
I really like the narrated videos, keep up the good work! Btw, I really love that using ultrahand at the end of the last shrine is now the go-to in speedruns. I was suggesting it to you under one of your old WRs, when it wasn't yet used, so I feel slightly proud ngl
YOOOOO. This is so fire! I just beat TOTK also without prep, glitches or the paraglider, and I must say, I know the hell you went through. I also appreciate the differences in our methods, I fought the army, Colgera and the seized construct differently.
Thanks for doing this! Awesome video after that really amazing glitchless run which I must admit I've watched two times already. 😬 But it's so fun to watch. Lovely to get all the great explanations in this video. 🙌🙏
This is an awesome run! I think the routing is super cool for any%, but it's a lot cooler to see the boss gauntlet fought the "intended" way. So much cooler to see a carefully selected set of weapons than just spamming rubies and glitched weapons
I can't believe you didn't mention the rocks at 15:53 have a miniscule chance to drop a Ruby, smh. Jokes aside though this video was super well made and the thumbnail...OMEGALUL
Oh my word thank you! I did my own version of a “speed run” on BOTW where Link completes the GP as much as possible, cuts across Hyrule Field while grabbing what he can, then plundering the castle as much as possible before hitting the boss rush. Not a true speed run, but a challenge for me. I wanted to try something similar with ToTK but wasn’t sure how I’d get past Muktorok. Now I know!! 🎉
So this is pretty much a Castle only run. Very cool! I do prefer glitch-less, because it makes it easier to follow what Link is doing. Nice run! And you didn't dodge the Lynel! 🎉
Giving you a comment for that algorithm boost and wanted to say videos like these are super interesting and informative for all the questions I'd have watching a run that you may not have time to actually explain. Also the visual gags, like the "Room of Death" text, are perfect.
when I played the game for the first time I was really excited for the speedruns, because of the boss rush and all of that then I saw that they skip the fight since day 1 lmao I love this speedrun because pushes the game mechanics I think I prefer it over the normal any%
Wow this category is significantly cooler than the clips and glitches of normal any% (or maybe I just watched any% too many times lol). I hope this becomes a popular category I want to see how optimized it can get.
This run is so cool !!! any% is great but this.. this is so badass. And also, I've started a paragliderless slow run and it gave me ideas on how to handle some things :D Thanks !
I am genuinely surprised that glitchless *isn't* a category already. I prefer watching glitchless runs sometimes, because they are so much easier to follow/understand.

Killing queen gibdo using gibdo bones, that’s just evil
That's what you're supposed to do though, they drop so much before and while you're fighting her and she's the most difficult boss without them

Nice video !
Agree. While all the glitches are cool, I find it more enjoyable to watch a glitchless run with all the enemies and combat
