    I had no clue there was a track steer option. So freaking cool man. Great job on this video. Nice machine, a professional like you deserves nice iron like that. Thumbs up.

    Great video! I was always curious how the controls worked with the engcon, I knew it had a lot of functions with it but wasn’t sure what they did with joysticks. Appreciate taking the time to make the video

    We have a 349 cat. The lag between electric over hydraulic controls is horrible. We have 7000 hours on it now and in the winter it takes quite a bit of time for the controls to work decent. And the particulate filter$$$$. Cab really rattles a lot. I personally prefer komatsu 490 the hydraulics are faster and feel is way better. A little less swing power but way better cabs. Curious how that works out for you

    Great vidoe Tom...ive been around equipment all my life and currently am taking the steps to become an operator(im 19) your passion for your job is what i hope to be in my operating years. Question for starting buisness...should you buy a dozer and an excavator when starting up or strictly focus on one machine?

    • @DirtNinja
      @DirtNinja  5 років тому +1

      Depends on what work you want to do and how much money you have! I would start with renting, see what machines work for you and then buy a machine when you have the work load to support the payments

    • @cdjaerial4907
      @cdjaerial4907 5 років тому

      @@DirtNinja I have heard that cat has a wonderful leasing program and my teacher suggested that...i really want focus on excavators though...not a huge fan of dozers. He suggested working in the feild for a couple for years and see what you are good at and base your buisness from there. I just dont know how ill get myself out there and build a reputation...yet a lone get customers

    That is one sweet machine Tom I know you rent new equipment a lot but would you say that cat is still improving on break out force and other functions? I really like the travel function cat is putting it in all their excavators up to @310 size eventually I think it will be offered in larger size as well. I have asked you recently and will try again are you still working with your parents business as well or no? Congrats Tom she is a beautiful excavator.

    • @DirtNinja
      @DirtNinja  5 років тому

      Hopefully renting a lot less now that we have this machine. We pretty much always rented this or a 312 size machine. Yes I think they are still improving, I cant wait to see the 316 Next Gen machine when ever that comes out. And yes I still work for my parents hardscaping 3 days a week.

    If you want the best light you must use 50/50 halogen and LED. If you combine these two you get the best light.

    • @DirtNinja
      @DirtNinja  5 років тому

      Really?? The LED's are so bright you cant even see any of the halogen. I still have 2 halogen on my loader and you cant even notice they are on.

      Yeh I’ve heard the same statement before but I don’t know how true it is either. I’ve got a super bright LED on my boom, two halogen on the cab and I can’t even tell that the halogens are on..
