    I'm at that age now where I spend a lot of time saying "oh why didn't I start retin-a sooner" or "why didn't I wear sunblock daily when I was 12." Lol. The point Angie continues to make beautifully is that IT'S NEVER TOO LATE to start loving yourself and your skin.

      I'm at that age, as well. I'll be saying goodbye to my 40s next year and the signs of aging are more obvious than they used to be. Thanks to Angie, Gothamista, Mixed Makeup, Dr Dray, & Penn.Smith's channels, I ramped up my skincare routine full throttle this past March. I have seen a LOT of improvement in my skin. I rarely breakout, my skin texture has improved, as well as my skin tone, and I feel like my wrinkles have lessened in appearance.
      Seeing Angie and knowing she started her skincare journey at 50 and looks this good gives me a lot of hope that is really is never too late to step up your skincare game.

      I turned 50 this year, and definitely see signs of aging☺️. But, thanks to some good skincare, a bit of Botox here and there, a good diet and a good attitude, it’s not so bad

      I didn't start watching Angie and a few other over 50 bloggers (but still younger than I am) until I retired at 63 and now I am 69. I've been doing her skincare routine for 6 years. I have seen slight improvement but I think what I see at this point in my life is that it's not getting worse. I think I look the same as when I was 63. So that's good. I don't use fillers, botox or had any facelift work.

    Thanks Angie !!! A TIP... OK...I take one of those small travel size spray bottles and fill with distilled water and then apply the gel to my entire face and when it starts to dry out I reactivate it with a spray of water. I'm saving so much gel and I'm not constantly applying more so I think it makes the process go a bit faster and saves gel (at least in my mind). I'm only about a month in using mine and I'm using it only on one side of my face and it truly is "plumbing" my face even at 76 years old ! xoxo patti 🌸🍃

    A nice hack for the primer is to use Avene or other facial water spray to extend the conductivity. Once I start to feel the stick I do a brief spritz and good to go. Feels great and reduces the amount of primer required.

    I did look up the NuFace customer service info. It suggests you wait 7-14 days between getting Botox and Filler and resuming your sessions. Good to know. Also, they made clear that ‘feeling the electric current’ means you don’t have enough gel and it won’t work as well. You are the best Angie! Always straight advice.

I had always hoped for a real-time video as it will be easier to follow along . Unlike you , my biggest challenge is laxity at the jawline . Hey Pam, if you have extra $$ try Ultherapy - it gives great results for sagging skin especially jawline. It's expensive- but pictures look great. I haven't done jawline myself, but I did around the eyes area, so far results are small, but you are supposed to see gradual improvement over the 3 month course - it hasn't been 3 month yet...

      @@marffetkamarffetka995 HI- I have done ultherapy twice. I'm 62 now. I will mention that when the treatment hits your jawbone it is VERY PAINFUL. The technician says it's because of big nerves in that area. But, it only lasts a second. I do recommend it but I wait for a "special", usually around the holidays because it is very expensive for us regular folks. I do the neck and I see the most results in that area. But everyone is different.

      Hi! I’m a few weeks into the Nuface. Trying desperately to pick up jowls. It seems to be working a bit so far. I’ll keep going. My question: I do it first thing in the morning before I wash my face. Does it matter that I have natural oils on my face from sleeping? Does that make it less effective?

    • @wellnessgate883
      @wellnessgate883 4 роки тому +1

      Neha Harneja Hi Neha! I start at the base of my neck and work upward, then under my jaw line in several spots, then I move up to my chin, and finish with my cheek area. I don’t use the NuFace around my eyes or on my forehead because I have some Botox in those areas, and don’t feel like I need any lifting there.

    • @wellnessgate883
      @wellnessgate883 4 роки тому +1

      susana rylander Hi Susana! I don’t think natural face oils would impede the gel from conducting the energy. If you have product on your face (Retin-A or night serum/creams) you may want to use a baby wipe (or splash your face) before applying the gel, but I’m guessing that natural face oils shouldn’t interfere. I wear Retin-A, a night cream & eye cream, and a clear medical type of scotch tape on eye & lip wrinkles at night, so I personally would definitely wash my face in the morning before a NuFace treatment. Enjoy!

    Microcurrent treatments are for the muscles. Not the skin. We use microcurrent in physical therapy for small muscle stimulation. . So in theory there would be no point in doing muscles treated with Botox since they are paralyzed and cannot respond to the current.

I wanted to warn others who may read this comment that the device completely quit working after 18 months. For $450 I would expect a device to last longer than 18 months! Unfortunately, I'm now seeing more reviews of this product with similar issues. I especially liked the eye attachment, which seemed to noticeably lift my brows & lids. I would love to find another similar device that could provide the same results, but I will NEVER spend another dime on a NuFace product!

    I have been using the NuFace device consistently since March this year and have seen remarkable results. Taking photos monthly as I go and sharing with a few friends that are wowed with the change. I use the NuFace gel as well, but use only a pump all over my face, then wet with a little water if it starts drying. Watch for deals on QVC for the device. The deal I snagged was the Trinity with ELE attachment and four 5.0 tubes of the gel primer for the price of the device alone elsewhere.

I'm 57yrs old as well and also have hooded eyes. I notice an immediate lift after each treatment now that I've been using the NuFace for going on 2 years. Another treatment I really love is LED light treatment, for which I have a few different options, but my favourite is the Dr. Dennis Gross eye mask for my elevens and crows feet and the Photons Mask because it is the strongest and offers lots of light options for my complexion needs. I use the LED masks after applying my serums at night. Combined with a collagen powder in my herbal tea every day, I feel this is a winning combination for me :)

In the beginning it was hard to use so often but now I really try for every other day, but I am so glad to see how you use the holds and how you do the neck. I am with you in that I don’t leave the gel on my face as I just don’t feel like the rest of the products I apply really get into my skin. Wow I have the Nuface with the attachments but I've never done this long of a routine. For me I don't know if I have the disciple to do 40 minutes but you gave me different directions to put the nuface on that I didn't know before so thank you. I also only do one area at a time because the gel dries quickly but if any area I am doing starts to feel dry instead of adding more gel (which is pricy) I add water to my face and it gets the gel to glide easier again.

I do think that pressing directly onto the nasolabial folds with the ELE attachment over time actually works against the smoothing out of the folds. So I make sure to always do a push and hold motion above the folds with the ELE, just like I would do with the 11’s between the eyes. Thank You

      I am 60 years old and I found that doing some facial yoga helped my face firm tremendously, particularly my jawline and cheeks. My favorite face yoga teacher on UA-cam is Ms. Peta. Although Ms. Peta stresses not to do only a few exercises/to do her full facial yoga routines, (for the sake of time) I do my favorite exercises and they have helped tremendously. I also use a derma roller weekly (1.0) and use the Fascia Blaster by Ashley Black (I use these 2 tools full body, not just on my face). The results have been amazing. The Fascia Blaster gets rid of cellulite and crepey skin. I use mine in the shower, for the sake of convenience and expediency.

    I LOVE the NuFace. I'm on my second one because of the lithium battery which I damaged and is easy to do with any lithium battery. Actually, I just heard you say that you leave it on the charger all the time when not in use. That is a good way to ruin the battery. Just an FYI.

    I bought the NuFace yesterday and was excited to try it, but then I read the package insert and it scared me to death. I know the side effects can be rare, but if it happens to you, then who cares how rare it is. I was especially concerned about how this should never be used near the thyroid. Well, how do you know if you are a safe distance from the thyroid? It seems very scary that it may cause thyroid problems. Also, they say you may see flashing lights if used too close to your eyes. Well, those are retinal flashes and who knows if this could lead to retinal problems. I recently experienced a retinal detachment so anything that could affect my retina is a no go for me. The heart racing, metallic taste in mouth and facial tics that some people experience also makes me extremely nervous. It seems like lots of people have a positive experience with this, but I am way too nervous to try it.
