The fact that gaming companies do this in their preproduction is amazing. Imagine coming to the office, making a fan film with stuff you find inside of garage, and getting paid for it. 😅😅😅
Funfact, the outfit the Bayonetta actress is wearing in the goofy videos at the beginning was based on an unused concept art. I think someone recently made a mod that put that outfit into the PC version of the game! Am I dumb or did they not actually say the dance motion capture artist's name? I want to look her up. :(
Kinda unfair to compare even being in the same genre, DMC was a genre definer and a pioneer. The first one is dated, the second one was made without the creator's knowledge just to be a cash grab that was worst than Battlefront 2 and only got a fairly modern tone in 3, 4 was rushed and 5 was a truly AAA DMC. While Bayonetta even at first being a very low budget looking game had the advantages of a "clean path" in the genre.

Sadly she did not come back for Bayonetta 3. You can tell with the choreography difference in Bayo 3 compared to 1 & 2.
