Chicken pie 😋 Full of aromas and flavors

  • A hearty pie with a wonderful taste and aromatic filling, in a feast of flavors that will surely become your favorite!
    Recipe ingredients
    For the Composition
    6 Sheets Village
    50 gr. Olive oil for spreading
    For the filling
    90 gr. Olive oil (6 tbsp)
    1 Dry Onion
    3 Fresh Onions
    2 Cloves of Garlic
    1 Red Pepper
    1 Green Pepper
    250 gr. Mushrooms
    700 gr. Chicken Cooked
    Oregano Trimmeni
    1/4 Bunch of Parsley
    Salt
    Pepper
    1 tbsp Sweet Paprika
    240 gr. Chicken Broth (1 Cup)
    225 gr. Cream Cheese (1 Cup)
    240 gr. Grated Gruyere (2 Cups)
    For the Surface
    1 Egg
    1 tbsp Water
    Prescription Process
    Put 90 g in a pan over high heat. olive oil (6 tbsp)
    1 dry onion, chopped
    2 cloves of garlic, chopped
    Sauté for 2-3 minutes to soften slightly
    3 Fresh onions, chopped
    1 green pepper, chopped
    1 red pepper, chopped
    Cook for about 6-8 minutes
    Add 250 gr. sliced mushrooms
    Sauté for 5 minutes until caramelized
    Add salt, 700 g. chicken cooked and chopped
    Cook for 5 minutes to get color
    Grated oregano, salt, black pepper
    1 tbsp sweet paprika, 1/4 Bunch of chopped parsley
    Mix to spread the ingredients evenly
    Add 240 gr. chicken stock (1 cup)
    225 gr. Cream Cheese (1 Cup)
    Turn off the heat and stir until the cheese melts and the filling sets
    When the mixture has cooled a little, add 120 g. grated gruyere (1 cup)
    Stir to incorporate the ingredients
    In a pyrex 22X30 cm. smear with a little olive oil
    Lay a sheet to cover the bottom and sides of the pan
    Sprinkle with olive oil
    We follow the same process
    Sprinkle olive oil on each leaf separately
    Place 3 sheets of horiatika at the bottom of the pan
    Pour the filling into the pan
    Spread evenly over the entire surface
    Sprinkle on top with 120 g. grated gruyere (1 cup)
    Cut the excess dough around the pan
    Turn the leaves inside out
    Sprinkle with olive oil
    Cover on top with the fourth leaf
    Sprinkle with olive oil
    We repeat the same process
    Put a total of 6 village leaves
    Cut the excess leaves around the perimeter
    Fold the edges of the leaves inwards
    Dilute an egg with 1 tbsp. water and brush the surface of the pie
    We carve around the perimeter into 9 pieces
    Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C for 50-60 minutes
    Let the chicken pie cool a little and serve
