Just received one for Christmas. I like the 90° square around the light itself. When you have gloves on the square shape is distinct area to grab if an adjustment is needed while in the headband
The LD15R is the standalone version with a dual-clip, which could definitely fulfill EDC duties. I just picked one up and I'm very happy with it! Thank you for your review!
It's not lighting up for me. I just bought it 2 months back and have used it very less. The battery is getting charged and it shows green when I tap the "On" switch but does not light up. Sometimes when I try to switch it on, there a tiny flash on the LED and also it just lights up on its own. Any fix?
Several of Fenix light has "inner waterproofing treatment", i.e. it is water proof even when the charger port cap is off. Tk20R for example. Unfortunately not this light.
I wanna use it in a pool but I dont fully trust those micro usb covers. Are they any tricks to making those more water tight?? I guess I could put a water-proof band-aid over it..?
not sure about yours, but i have HL60R (bigger sister/brother of this one) and USB port cover still holds on very well (2 years of daily (ab)use ;) ). that or simply take out battery and charge it in cradle
Old Ben I don't have a Olight H1 but I do have a Olight H1R. They have a lot of little differences. I guess it is really up to the users preference. Both are great lights but they both have good and bad things about them. I like having a battery meter the Fenix has that. I like the pocket clip the Olight has that. I like the availability of the micro USB the fenix has that. I like the ease of recharging the Olight but you have to have their charger with you. I like that the Fenix can use a couple of different batteries. I like that the Olight has a magnet and can be placed under a car hood. So it really depends on which features you need in your day to day life. But I don't think that you can go wrong with either light.
@@GearNut great review! Just found your channel. I have an older fenix HL50 so the new features of the HM50R make me a bit envious. Funny I never thought of this before but I've been messing around with neodinium magnets lately and I think I'm going to try to epoxy one to the tail cap of my light because I do like that the Olight has that magnet. Also I have an older fenix PD20 light and its pocket clip fits on my HL50 nicely so you might be able to pull a pocket from one of your other lights to attach or even order one from fenix.
Micro usb was the worst charge port ever created. Why no heavy use devices such as phones use this anymore. Really wish devices like this would get with the times.
I like that they use blue and green for the battery meter. I’m color blind and sometimes can’t differentiate between LED green and red.

Have you checked your batteries polarity

Need to cut about five minutes off this. Way too much very boring time slowly going over crap like reverse polarity protection
I watched the video on x2 playback speed
Then start your own channel, crybaby. This is a good, thorough review. You should probably work on your attention span, bud.
