Hi...do you know how often QF flies into Boston? Is it a regular thing? I live in Brizzy and my wife is originaly from the US, so it' handy to know about other possible options. I'm with the ARFF in BNE
barticus04 They only fly to LAX, DFW, JFK and HNL in the US at the moment......SFO will probably be back one day. Vancouver Canada should be back this year.
AUmarcus Yeh I knew that but I if they started flying into Boston, Vancouver or SFO from Brisbane it would be a first for Brisbane as there are only 2 flights from BNE to North America, 1 QF and 1 Virgin and both go to LAX
barticus04 Qantas would have to make the route viable by having enough passenger revenue ......with respect, it would have more chance of survival if run out of Sydney.
I've never flown anywhere, and I have no desire to BUT if I ever HAD to I'd be honored for any of these pilots to fly me. Male/female.... To have the ability to just lay those many tons of aircraft and passengers on the runway..... Exceptional!!!
I am seriously running out of words to describe how amazing your work is! I am, therefore, going to start making them up. This video is perjukilously ascorbitent my friend! WELL DONE!
Captain: “Ladies and gentleman, this is your captain speaking. We have arrived at our destination and are about to land. If your tray is not in it’s upright position, don’t bother putting it up; if you’re in the restroom, don’t bother returning to your seat; if your seatbelt is not fastened, don’t bother fastening your seatbelt. I promise you that you will not feel a thing......by the way, we just landed. Thank you for flying Qantas!
Great video. I had the pleasure of flying in 747 VH-OJU (With the boxing kangaroo logo) last July in a flight from Singapore to Brisbane. A nice touch of Oz into Boston. Thanks
Its a focus city for them......the other a380 is from Sydney and arrives a few hours after this procession.......747 from Sydney which continues on to JFK, a380 from Melbourne and 747 from Brisbane.
Landings cannot be called perfect if they are smooth because of a simple reason: pilots do not have a goal to land the airplane as smooth as possible. Moreover, smooth landing is more dangerous than a regular hit landing, especially on a slippery runway.
Main landing geared planes that the front part of the main gear droop down (A380, A350, 767 gear) ALWAYS have a hard landing. Gear like the 777 or A330, are BUILT for soft landing, mainly A330.
No, the callsign is Qantas 107......SYD/LAX/JFK......followed by Qantas 93 MEL/LAX.......followed by Qantas 15 BNE/LAX. And then around 3 hours later Qantas 11 SYD/LAX......another a380 not shown in the video.
yeah I am going to have to agree with AUmarcus 747 is def better looking that a 380, a 380 just looks ugly in my opinion cannot believe they are getting rod of the 747s just to replace them with the a 380 honestly.....
Qantas will be leaving their six 747er's in service after the older RR powered 747's are replaced with a380's.......so it will be a while before they disappear completely from the fleet. The fleet of RR powered 747's are getting rather old so they must be replaced anyway.
That last 747 landing was a masterpiece! I'll bet the passengers barely detected the tires hitting the runway tarmac!
vibration is definitely there. but still it's a perfect landing
damn, the passengers on that last landing probably didn't even know they landed
Josh Adrian facts
It happened to me once. I was waiting for landing but noticed only braking. I do not remember what the plane was.
First class passenger might still sleeping late comment*
The a380 is every bit as beautiful.
You ought to be given special permission to film just off the runway up close and personal. You are the best.
Thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this video. Brilliant capturing of the wing flex.
Smooth filming shot of 747 and A380! Love that smooth filming. Love it.
Awesome video.
As a QF747 pilot on my last 747 trip to SYD-LAX-JFK-LAX-SYD it's great to see an awesome video like this. You're a master.

barticus04 QF does not fly into Boston :)

Beautiful shots...of Boeing 747s! I think the Airbus A380s are like Oprah Winfrey...WAY over inflated!
Cannot get a better landing than on board a Qantas flight. Best pilots in the world these guys

kick boxin' is a great way to start the morning.

Simply the best spotting videos out there. Magnificent. Thanks for posting
A380 is more beautiful from the front but the 747 is so pretty from the side
One of those flights could be me in less than 2 weeks! Well done with these videos mate, I can't wait to see more!
The 747 will always be the Queen of the Skies.
The calm before landings is so incredible. Nice video :)
Awesome catches! Very nice video! Great 747 livery!!
Thanks for your support :)
747 + RR engines = Best combination
This video is so damn good! Thank you!
Superb video! Nice use of aerodynamic braking on the jumbos too.
Magnificent. Thanks.

The 747 is just😍
Absolutely awesome video and totally perfect landings! Wow :)
Excellent video!
Wow great camera shots. You have a great camera and a tripod!
Fantastic shots!
Thunder from Downunder!
Awesome video!!!
Beautiful hover on that last one.

Beautiful video! amazing landings!
Wow, beautiful landings! Excellent filming! :)
Wow, wow, WOW, stop it you're killin me man!!! ;) spectacular!!!
Beautiful Video!
This is beautiful!!
Last landing 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Spectacular, great work! Also if you are wondering about the A380 registration it is VH-OQK
I think the pilot was a super hero
Great Video, and amazing and loling special livery! :D
I agree that those were good landings. No real airplane floating so I think that they were good in my book. Technique 10/10
Great job, as always! But I'm wondering, at 1:20, his gear is still up, which seems late on the approach. How far out was he?
Never knew Boston handles A380s. Cool!
This was at LAX......Qantas doesn't fly to Boston only JFK via LAX (747), SFO (747), LAX (a380), and DFW (a380).
Beautiful!
It´s so good i like this video
My routine watching BostonAirborne: 1. Open page, 2. Click "Liked", 3. Watch video
Made it look so easy
The last one is a nice and soft landing
Good planes
best yet.
Hi Great filming, How do you manage to follow the planes so precise?
Qantas really likes LA. I think that they send 2 B747's and 2 A380's. And I'm pretty sure they have hub there too.
Its a focus city for them......the other a380 is from Sydney and arrives a few hours after this procession.......747 from Sydney which continues on to JFK, a380 from Melbourne and 747 from Brisbane.
And i love boeing 747
Damn the last one
Thanks!
loving it

Thanks for the comment!
top notch!
Great!!!
Notice on the last landing the reverse thrusters were initiated way before the front nose tyres ever touch the tarmac ?
They can activate it once the main gear touches down
Video quite is good
01:00 Que pintura fofinha...rsrsrs

Have I watched the same video thrice ?
can I use parts of this video in a movie
Top :-)
The last one: Swiss 001 butter
Umm isn't the first qantas flight from Brisbane?
No, the callsign is Qantas 107......SYD/LAX/JFK......followed by Qantas 93 MEL/LAX.......followed by Qantas 15 BNE/LAX. And then around 3 hours later Qantas 11 SYD/LAX......another a380 not shown in the video.
747
Anyone remember the retirement of Qantas 747
Both landings were pretty hard
Still using your Panasonic GH-4
Bad visual coverage; more airplane ✈️ after landing. Too much cropped
I wonder if the Nancy bird Walton is back in service......
2:31 Butter
Only the inside engines reverse on the 380?
Yes
"butter"
In my case, step 4. Wet myself.
The a380 didn't land as smooth as expected
Anyone give you a hassle shooting from Westchester like that?
24L
Ok, no more videos then. ;)
I criticized because of the giant logo on the screen
Spicejet Rehman
No permission at all, thanks!
The A380 was not that smooth, it bounced once.
yeah I am going to have to agree with AUmarcus 747 is def better looking that a 380, a 380 just looks ugly in my opinion cannot believe they are getting rod of the 747s just to replace them with the a 380 honestly.....

The first landing was not perfect
I hate airbus A380
the 747 is realy ugly !
man made mechanical power calls... spirit of Australia... what a stupidity...
