    My name is Song Gao, born in 1987. I began professional Zhanzhuang & Yiquan training with Master Zhang Yongmou in 2016.
    Master Zhang’s teaching method and my own effort made me a qualified teacher with only 4-year training, including 3 years of assistant teaching experience in his Yiquan school. I began teaching Zhanzhuang & Yiquan on UA-cam by posting instructional videos in early 2020, and started to take students via online classes in 2021. I have created a method whereby through videos, classes, and publications one may develop their body and mind as close as possible to training directly with me.
    On the path to becoming an Yiquan artist, teaching is as important as learning. I always know how much more there is for me to do. Your interest in studying with me will make both me and you Yiquan/Zhanzhuang artists. Let’s enjoy this journey together!
    This is my lineage in case you were interested.
    My name is Song Gao (高松), I am an Yiquan & Zhanzhuang instructor, a 5th-generation Yiquan inheritor. My master is Zhang Yongmou (张勇谋), who learned Yiquan first from Master Yao Chengrong (姚承荣), son of Master Yao Zongxun (姚宗勋), and then from Master Yu Yongnian (于永年). Master Yao Zongxun was the formal successor of Master Wang Xiangzhai (王芗斋), founder of Yiquan. Master Yu Yongnian learned Zhanzhuang & Yiquan with Master Wang Xiangzhai for 20 years, conducted medical research on Zhanzhuang for 30 years and published numerous medical papers and books on Zhanzhuang. Wang Xiangzhai styled him with a name as Statue"(石碑).

    Thank you for a very informative video. If I plan to do this for 45 mins, should I do this set 3 times or only 1 set with extended period for each exercise. Also can you explain how the breathing should be done. Thank you again.

      Hey Chee, sorry I just saw the comment. I will be making a few drill videos this coming week. for your question, either is fine. there is no strict sets for anyone. for the breathing, breath like you are not working out. Breath naturally like in your normal day. Thanks for your interest.

      Hey, There is no particular close for Yiquan Zhanzhuang. You can directly have some rest. Personally, I'd slightly rub my face, head, ears, elbows, knees for a few mins. Rubbing increase the blood flow at these areas. Thanks for your question.
