Hey was just wondering if you know off top of your head when fitting the main handle to the crankcase after splitting and putting back together how do you do it as cant seem to figure out how to fit the handle back in
As I see from watching this video you are quite the GURU/very knowledgeable when it comes to small engines Dony , may I ask how many years you have been in your business as you seem to be such a young man?
Next ms 441 you get in show the procedure for changing out the intake boots and impulse lines. I'm working on one that runs great at full throttle and will not idle ad I'm suspecting a vacuum leak somewhere in the system.
Have you had any of these model saws not start due to overheating? I've been told mine is terminal. I would be lucky to have put 30 hours work on it. Thoughts...
I have the Same Problem on my MS 661 cm and i saw that 1 Screw is Missing at the Same Spot as the saw in the Video so what Size are These Screen and where can i get them?
Hi Donnie I have a Sthil ms180 fitted new piston and cylinder and new carb, new fuel filter and line and airfilter but my chainsaw still cuts out after 20 sec running. Any help would be much appreciated Dave UK
Dony I have a MS460, my question the compression release when trying to start the saw i push it down and after one pull the release button releases and come up. Is that working properly, or should it stay engaged until the saw starts. Thanks for another great video and diagnosis and great find on your ms441. Thanks again George, st louis, mo
Was starting and run great a few months ago now can get it to start. I am 70 years old. The saw sure pull hard for a old man ha. Thanks for your reply. Keep up the good work..
I usually run into this problem with trimmers since most only have 2 bolts holding the cylinder on. Easy to diagnosis because there is usually oil all over the block and runs erratic.
Hi Don, I have a MS441 M-Tronic model. The saw runs fine for about 30 mins and then stalls like its out of gas. Its starts up right away but will stall again within 2 mins. Also has a bit of rough idle. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Hey there Donny .... Good morning to ya! Hey I'm looking at picking up a Stihl 064av.... You know these Stihl real good... Is this a good saw? I'm thinking of using it on an Alaskan saw mill to make sum boards and also to run my 32" bar and skip chains I got last month... The little ms391 pulls those skips pretty good so I'm figuring this old gal should cook with the skips ... It needs a new sprockets so I'm looking threw your videos to find one that's kinda close to how it would be on this 064. Even in need of sum parts $250 is fare if it runs I'm thinking...am I in the right ballpark BigGuy? Thanks Capt.
This problem is not common to most chainsaws but rather to the Stihls have seen several here in UA-cam with the same problem, you would think that if you are spending top dollar on a premium saw they would use a bit of loctite on them screws and bolts.
Hello Deny Your channel has a lot of great knowledge in one place, thank you for all solutions. I have a question for you. Trimmer I have a Solo 119 and the pull start cord is severed. If you could tell me how to replace the cord and wound spring that will not work. Would you put a picture here but do not know how to insert. If you've got your address I can send a picture via e-mail. Thanks for the reply.
good vid you had to go in deep on that one good find ///what psi do you test at and what is case psi when saw is going and AND where is vid on the 7000 plus i am getting old lol have great day bill
i bet that plug was whiter than a ghost lol. Ive seen this in a simple moped, there is a screw to clear the big end of petrol or oil, it has a washer, ive seen the threaded hole with nothing screwed in, all air made it very unhappy lol.
Thank you for posting I own a landscaping business and I've learned so much from your videos.
I wish I'd be closer to your shop. Excellent job as usual.
