She didn't make a lot of moves, but she managed the jury well. Sometimes that's all it takes, and that's something Russel didn't do either time he made it to the finale.

Parvati's problem is that she was guilty by association just simply for working closely with Russel, even though the other people that season didn't give her much choice.

Didn't remember the "I do, too". Great moment. It takes 68 seconds to unravell completely why Russel was never even close to win anything ever.
All you need to know is this in All-Stars the winners were targeted early. In HvsV Russell was siting next to two winners and still didn't get a single vote. He plays a great game to get to the end but not a great game to win.

May I add that she also survived as many tribal councils as Denise and orchestrated the pivotal Erik blindside at the merge getting Galu to turn on their own while Russell was sitting there thinking he had to play his idol? Without Natalie, Foa Foa wouldn’t have been able to get the numbers advantage at the merge. Justice for Natalie White!
Yeah, everyone says she did nothing, but no one has ever won Survivor that way.
Naw Denise survived a lot more, she literally been to all of them. Also yes the only move she did was getting Erik voted out, but Monica was the target that day anyways so either way a Galu member was going home and the same game mode from Russell would of kept going after that, also Russell played his idol and told John to vote his own, making Galu increase their numbers more, also stopped Brett and did other great gameplays, but his arrogance did ruin it
The Erik blindside wouldn't have happened without all the chaos Russell was creating in the first place. Also, the Kelly blindside and the Final Immunity win were both his achievements. If he'd played 5 years later he'd have won.

@@MrBen51309 Russell would have never won. We have seen from beginning to end that jury management and social game matter. You can't purposely belittle and mistreat people and then expect them to reward you for it. And the Erik blindside happened because of Natalie's social game, no matter how hard you try to credit Russell for it.
It sucks so hard she's not on Winners At War because her edit was so shit in Samoa. I was hoping she'd be on this upcoming season so we could truly see her for what she's worth.

i lowkey think natalie deserved it. everyone bashes her but she knew from day 1 if she tried to oppose russel in any way she'd get voted out and no one was voting for him at the end so she was nice to all the jurors to secure their vote

Harry Healey I also think Russell takes the game very seriously, he’s cocky at times (that’s one of his downfalls), but he takes it seriously and doesn’t make things personal and keeps his personal life and personal emotions separate. Every outburst he has is related to the game. Maybe I’m just viewing things differently, but I think its not right to say things about a guy you don’t know outside of the game. He may have a lot of great qualities, and just thinks the game should be played his way.
Ryan Hardison I did say “I’m not saying Russell is a bad person” I was just saying that the jury has a right to feel bitter. After all, they wanted to win a million dollars! I would be salty about losing but I think Russell is different in the way he sees the game. That season aired ten years ago, people had a different perspective on the game than they do nowadays. But listen to some of the things he says and the way he says it, it can come across as rude and condescending.
Remember Brad Culpepper, he lost to Sarah and a part was the way he talked to people. In the words of Hali “Did you say you used condescension as a tool?”. I never denied that Russell played a solid game, I just don’t think he can win with his game unless he plays with people who think similarly to him about the game.

Easily the most underrated winner. I love her , she’s also the only female to win in a final 3 against 2 men on an all newbies season.
And the only female Sole Survivor never to be in any season with Boston Rob.
It seems like whoever opposes Russel wins the season, maybe the most fool proof strategy in Survivors existence
But few have the patience to tolerate his toxic antics for 39 seconds, let alone the entirety of the season.

Btw, Russel still believes that there is no social game in Survivor. He has a youtube channel where he mentions it (I believe it's just his name). I'm glad he played and he changed the game for the better, but he can't win if he dosen't acknowledge a large portion of the game.
Always thought Survivor is around 60% social game, 30% strategy/game moves, 10% skill/ability to win challenges.
He ruined season 19 for me the moment he sabotaged his own tribe by getting rid of their water and burning their socks, I stopped watching it searched who won (was mad that piece of gorilla shit was runner up) and went on to season 20.
Russ really treated all the woman there like shit. It was kinda funny he was dooped by 2 woman. Saying how both of them could never beat him. 😂😂
And now there have been 6 male winners in a row because the Natalies and Sandras of the world can't win anymore :)

The reason why Russel failed to win both Samoa ang HvV is jury management. He is so arrogant on both seasons claiming he is the best and underestimating someone.
HvV was filmed right after samoa. Everybody did not know Russell yet. He thought he will win season 19 that's why he played the same game in HvV.

Not in the end that bit them in the ass but the only way he would stand a chance again is in a Legends Season. Because if they bring him back as a Captain he'll be first out again.
@@cameronvieira6648 Funny thing is, on the tribe he would be on, only two players fit his default criteria for an alliance (while the other tribe had three). In a tribe of nine, that's not enough.

The mechanics of Survivor he is fine with. It is the core that trips him up.
She's a great winner and it's disgusting how much hate she got when Samoa finished airing. I kind of wish she was on S40 because I think she would kill it. She attended the most tribal councils of all winners (14), and voted in the majority at every one of those tribals. She never had individual immunity either, her social game was just so good.

But her social game was just vote whatever Russel does. When it was tied with votes for her and Laura, Russel was the one who cut a deal to flip on Laura in the re vote. If it wasn't for Russel she would have been booted out in the merge, or even sooner.

She was a decent strategic player and knew that by attaching herself to the worst person in Survivor who happened to keep getting through tribal councils, she'd easily beat him at the end. That's how Boston Rob won, but I don't see people saying he didn't deserve to win Philippines.

Hindsights 20/20. At the time, I assumed it was Russell ftw, 100%. Looking back, I can see that there was an entire aspect of the game I had ignored throughout the 18 previous seasons. The game has really evolved since then, and the show is better for it.
Strategy has evolved and shifted significantly. Human nature has not. The former needs to take the latter into account.
there’s two things you need in order to win survivor. make it to the end and please your jury. natalie did that and that’s why she won
She absolutely deserved the win. She was smart to accept the fact she can't win any physical challenges. And she doesn't wanna stand out and have a target in her. So she aligned herself with Russell. In a survivor game, if you are smart enough to know your weaknesses and faults and let someone else do the dirty work then wouldn't that warrant a sole survivor title? Plus, Russell would be nothing without her. Russell will never be as confident and cocky if he doesn't have a security blanket in the form of Natalie.
And all it took for her to win was... to protect Russell.
CBS should release all the conversations of Natalie to show her strong social game. The heavily cut episodes only show bits and pieces of her conversations.

She seems like one of those people who doesn’t even try to be nice but literally can’t be mean. In the challenge she would always cheer for others and be happy for them if they won. She seems so genuine especially in contrast to someone like Russell. The whole game she made relationships. I think she didn’t even know it but she was earning herself a million dollars.

Toxic Lightning Jerri said it best in her post season Heroes vs Villains interview. You have to show just a bit of modesty to the jury. Imo Russell’s Samoa FTC performance is underrated for one of the worst of all time. You’re clearly doing something wrong if the jury will vote anyone to win over you. Russell would’ve only won against Jaison in Samoa and Danielle in Heroes vs Villains.

Real reason Natalie won: Eric’s jury speech
Well I think the jury was never going to vote for Russel (due to Russel being an ass the whole game). If anything, Eric might have switched votes from Mick to Natalie but I think the jury realized on their own too at tribal that Mick would have been a pathetic winner.

Juries can make their decision however they damn well want, just because their decision may have been driven by emotion doesn’t make it the wrong one. The only people with the authority to say who the correct winner of a Survivor season is are the individuals on the jury. They not only get to decide the winner, but they get to decide the criteria with which they judge the finalists. Simply incorrect my fucking ass.
@@nasecoo No, the jury role isn't the winning role, the jury don't earn the right to vote based off of any criteria. They are supposed to vote the person to win who played the best game, under THE three words of Survivor, "Outwit, Outplay, Outlast" and when they knowingly don't do so, it's incorrect.

The whole point of the show is that in order to be crowned sole survivor, you must earn that title in the eyes of the people you had a hand in voting out. If you can’t see that the people around you may vote for someone else because they treated them with more respect, then you deserve to lose. Over and over again. Juries votes (unless swayed by threats, bribes etc) cannot be wrong, because the juror’s judgement is the only criteria used to determine the winner in a season. You may not like it, but juror’s can make that decision however they want. That’s the point.

So Russel would get 3rd they scraped it and went in, before hand all voting for Natalie. But to think a jury was so bitter that they got outplayed that they would vote for someone who did nothing shows that this was the worst jury in survivor history. You are supposed to vote for the best player.

Where does it say that in the rules? People win survivor by convincing the jury of your peers that you deserve it more than the others you sit next to. She did that. She's tied with Kim and Sarah for most votes to win from a jury!

I'm honestly tired of the Jury management bullshit. This is a game, if you sign up to play then be prepared to be lied to and manipulated and not get butt hurt. Russell carried that whole tribe after the merge and we all know it. Natalie made no moves just followed Russell. This was hands down the biggest robbery in Survivor history. This is the worst part about these kinds of games, MTVs The Challenge is done the best. At the end a 2 or 3 day long challenge to decide the winner
