I hope you are young and live to see Chester become what it used to be once, the stories my grandparents used to tell me, especially about over town, great video thank you for sharing til next time 👍🙏❤️😎bye
@@autumn_b905 well, my grandmother used to tell me that they would be out all over town, all hours of the night and my mom grew up on potter street and she said it was much safer and I've seen this neighborhood go down since I was a kid, Chester used to be happening, so I'm told 🤔
I heard the same stories, it would be nice. Everyone did their shopping and went to the movies in Overtown. It's still got potential, just needs some love. Thanks Ruth always good hearing from you ✌❤
That block in feltonville is a lot different from how it was late 80s 90s early 2000 that block was the worst drug block I ever spent time on as a kid I in lived all over
I remember that block in the late 90s, that's about as far back as i go. I lived all over too, and lived in other states and that block in the 90s is still one of the worst spots ive ever seen. I remember seeing an old head who used to walk around with a big ass snake on his neck.
Wow! The Fairgrounds looks beautiful. I haven't been to Chester in yearrrrrs!
Thank you. That was very enjoyable. I got a good feeling watching the people in the neighborhood. I felt right at home. Stay safe 🙏🏽
Thank you so much! ❤

My parents lived in McCafferty Village in the 40's. I was born in 54 at Sacred Heart Hospital near 9th and Highland.
Hey when are you able to go to sea isle city
I am redeveloping Chester as we speak, I’m determined to bring the quality of life up to a higher standard.
What was the projects these new townhouses replaced towards the end? I remember seeing them from 95 back in the day on my way to n from Philly
It was also called the Fair Grounds back then.
There is a small neighborhood in Chester township further down the road after you get off peoples street. That was my stomping ground.
Across Bethel road right?
