Henry is an excellent player, and he seems like a really cool guy. I appreciate the great players that have the ability to remain the person they were before they were famous.
I got to work a job with "Los Lonely Boy's" and while they were fairly private guy's it was an amazing experience. I love everything about Henry's playing and him as a person. God given talent.
Dale Calhoun, well said! I totally agree! I've seen them many times and they simply play their songs. No weird antics on stage or anything like that. They are engaging on stage, but they don't try and be comedians like a lot of performers try to be. Los Lonely Boys stick with being who they are. Professional musicians.
I like how Henry credits Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi and Ritchie Valenz,,Thats respect coming from a dope guitarist himself.Plus I love his pedal and amp set up.simple but effective.
Love these gear videos, thanks PG! Especially love it when they are honest & passionate and say what they heck they stand for. Like when he says, "I'm a strat guy" and I was inspired by Stevie Ray, or Chris Traynor says I'm a Les Paul guy or Mark Tremonti says I'm a PRS guy. Hate the ones like Devo where they think it's some kind of trade secret. It's just music. Saw these guys a few years back and it was great, fantastic tones. Thanks for sharing, really enjoyed it.
Dope interview-she pulled a ton of information out of the boys. Love this band, their culture, their message, and as live performers their masterful prowess that they demonstrate. They are a window to see God’s grace. Very rare in this day and age.
I think I'm so used to everyone being so geeked out with gear, that normal guys like the Garza's seem like simpletons......but they do play awesome! JoJo is one of the best bass players I've ever seen!
As far as being able to find your own sound I think it just comes naturally from immitating all your influences. Kinda like a big bowl of caldo or soup. Its a mixture of the guitarist you admire and it comes out in your sound. or your tone to be exact...
Henry,es de otra galaxia, toca la guitarra con magia,de las mejores guitarras del mundo,lo oi por primera ves en un programa de PBS,y hoy lo oigo en México city,!!!
Got a feeling that strat aint the only thing old Henry boy knows how to play lol, she is smitten for real. outside of that he has a great tone and is a real good guitarist
I have a couple of stratocasters a couple of Les Paul's I've been playing for 30 years and I believe Jesus has given you a good gift I think you're a cool dude God bless you
He was the reason I ever picked up a Strat. He makes it sound like a Strat, instead of layering so much crap on top that you can barely recognize what guitar it’s coming out of.
That's the first rig rundown I've seen where Rebecca seems to be the one who is a wee bit smitten. Usually it's the other way around. Not a thing wrong with that. He did a good interview and you can just tell he's probably a good guy.
This guy is an honest player. He may not know that much "technical" stuff but that's not important. He plays and he sounds good and he knows what sound he wants. That's what I like.
You have to love a rock star that uses three pedals and a couple of amps. He gets his tone from his playing and the Fender Strat. Keith Richards would approve another rock star who eschews the pedal/rack toys in order to get great tone
To a certain extent but a lot of players with 'special' tone have modded their amps/guitars to get what they wanted and no amount of practice will get you their sound without their gear. Nobody has ever made a strat sound like Ritchie Blackmore for instance (mostly because he had it running through a cheap tape recorder) and if you want to sound EXACTLY like Van Halen on the first two albums you have to have the original Frankenstrat and a1959 Marshall with a Variac installed.
yeah that was the only part I had a problem with too Bert. He said give credit where credit is due. I give credit to Henry for getting to be where he is now on guitar playing. Beside it's the only time I can feel like I am worth something, knowing I put in the time and effort, and not say it was given to me at birth.
@@SatanClaus69 yep it's called TIME N BLOOD where I come from n I still ain't put enough of either in it. I'd have to de-vein a whale to get to Henry's level 🤣🤣
There it is!!! The secret to good tone. If you notice, he doesn't have a huge pedal board or racks of effects. Just a guitar, a couple of essential effects, and run it into a quality tube amp. A "meat and potatoes" kind of player, you gotta respect that.
I work at Hipshot productions I make drop D tuners for them there A great company and I love The Los Lonely Boys my Name is Terence Covert Henry Garza , you should check in on Hipshot!
He's one of the most underrated guitarists of our day
I watched them in San Angelo. His guitar skills blew my mind.
Love the way he plays - one of the greats in my book!
And probably the most underrated band of all time!
Henry is a treasure of knowledge and gives God the credit. So proud of this band.
Los Lonley Boys are a blessing too us all TY GOD BLESS YOU
Henry is an excellent player, and he seems like a really cool guy. I appreciate the great players that have the ability to remain the person they were before they were famous.
His faith leads his way......
I've seen them several times, they're tight.
pretty cool seeing an old high school skate buddy as the guitar tech for Henry Garza. Rock on Ish
On behalf of Los lonely boys they are very humble and fire up for God. love you guys
Rebecca sounds like she knows her stuff, she asked some very good questions. Great interview!
a nice simple pedal board. two tube screamers and a lot of soul. What an unpretentious young man. Awesome
He has great tones because he's sticking to tried and true stuff that's stood the test of time. The classics are classic for very good reason.
I got to work a job with "Los Lonely Boy's" and while they were fairly private guy's it was an amazing experience. I love everything about Henry's playing and him as a person. God given talent.
He gives God the credit,too.
@@markpatterson2507 Absolutely he does.
I just love that Henry gives God the credit.I just❤ all you LLB.
Thank you! What a bunch of nice people! God bless you all!
Super cool band great interview and the girl is fantastic. Thanks!
Finally...a recording artist with great tone who gives a clear and thorough explanation of his gear. Thanks Henry!
That's what I love about Los Lonely Boys, they are spiritual and they remain low key. They are my kinda of guys!
Dale Calhoun, well said! I totally agree! I've seen them many times and they simply play their songs. No weird antics on stage or anything like that. For sure! He’s got 13 gauge strings just like SRV, plus his tube screamer and wah. Almost his exact setup
Henry is an awesome guitar player and a downright nice dude. Rebecca is a great interviewer and she is BEAUTIFUL!!
So underrated ! Great guitarist, great band!!
I respect anyone who doesn't have an over-reliance on pedals. Alright, Henry!
Love this guy and he's so down to earth. You know the cool players because they are the ones doing their own rig rundown.
Loved seeing them in Kansas City! Big thanks to my son, he remembered how much I love this guys - took me to their show & we had a great time!
A great gifted guitarist. The intro had a Stevie Ray Vaughan influence. Los Lonely Boys are a great band.
I've been a fan of this band since their first album when I was a teen. Really great music I love their style.
I love you Henry💗 can’t wait to see you again in Sacramento this year!!
I like his guitar tech, he's kinda like a character out of a sci fi show or something.
The tone on that strat in the beginning jam is pretty perfect.
Thanks for being the best guitar player ever
I love the tech!!! Wish I had someone like him to work on my gear. Great vid too.
Rebecca is a doll :)
She still looks this amazing ten years later
Thank you for the behind the scenes talk.
❤❤❤❤❤
These guys are amazing!

they have one of the best techs around. Committed and engulfed in his work!
My respects to the man married who that woman. A true beauty and definitely into guitars. Can't beat that.
His damn guitars look like they have bass strings on them I couldn’t imagine bending a set of 13’s lol
Aaron Bean look at his f’ng hands!!!! Enormous!!!!!!
I think I'm so used to everyone being so geeked out with gear, that normal guys like the Garza's seem like simpletons......but they do play awesome! JoJo is one of the best bass players I've ever seen!
Yup!!! and yes JoJo is a killer bass player.
I'm in love with Henry! 💞

Rebecca was smitten, and respected the tone! :)
Wonderful tone. He’s a very tasteful player.
Henry is a great guitarist! The band is tight, Cotton fields and Crossroads is great documentary. And they kill it live. 🎸
the tone in that opening jam is superb
Very cool stuff here. Love to see them modding the crap out of those strats!
Absolutely ❤
Loved the interview!!
13s!? Damn!!!! He's definitely a modern SRV!
Henry,es de otra galaxia, toca la guitarra con magia,de las mejores guitarras del mundo,lo oi por primera ves en un programa de PBS,y hoy lo oigo en México city,!!!
You need to come to Australia do some gigs ❤
I love you Los Lonely Boys!!!
Got a feeling that strat aint the only thing old Henry boy knows how to play lol, she is smitten for real. outside of that he has a great tone and is a real good guitarist
Henry is the Man!!!!!!!
good vibes these dudes
I like the blue haven guitar. Looks nice.
I have a couple of stratocasters a couple of Les Paul's I've been playing for 30 years and I believe Jesus has given you a good gift I think you're a cool dude God bless you
Rebecca did well to keep focussed on the interview with the funny and flirty Henry Garza! Nice interview :-)
I said that I would love to be able to play guitar like these guys. They are great.
He was the reason I ever picked up a Strat. He makes it sound like a Strat, instead of layering so much crap on top that you can barely recognize what guitar it’s coming out of.
Very nice spiritual person and very good guitarist
These guys play great, of course. I love to hear the guys play some good guitar and drums too.
That's the first rig rundown I've seen where Rebecca seems to be the one who is a wee bit smitten. Usually it's the other way around. Not a thing wrong with that. He did a good interview and you can just tell he's probably a good guy.
Love this guy! He sounds a lot like Santana
puro chingones.
thanks for your comment...interesting..I always wondered how someone could play 13s...
Another love connection!
Nice guitars. I like them. I like the cross on them too.
Yeah, the guitar techs are the unsung heroes... props to them! XD
That's right Brother, Give credit where credit is due The good Lord. God Bless.
Great music.
Neil's guitar is called "Old Black". Clapton' black strat was called "Blackie", taken from "Brownie", the sunburst strat he used for Layla.
This guy is an honest player. He may not know that much "technical" stuff but that's not important. He plays and he sounds good and he knows what sound he wants. That's what I like.
He has my fender special strat. That's cool!
That demo at 3:33 sounds nice.
In case of vampire attack I'm hiding behind Henry
Ah, i see..I was not sure on the names for the guitars.
thank you for the info.
best wishes
Very consistent band!
Sounds like Los Lonely's really like "Hemp". I recognize that cough anywhere :-)
straight forward setup, monster with soul player!!!
Keepin it simple…Henry don’t use half the effects most guitar players use. It’s just a True Tone of the Fenders and Marshall..my favorite amps 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Great gear, chosen because it works... great interview! :-)
Surprising how his setup is simple compared to other rigs. He still gets great tone though!
Ish is about business, he ain’t self promoting. Apparently damn good.
One word: Down to Earth. ( well 3 words )
GODS guitarist
A guitarist who shows appreciation of his tech. Woohoo.
made me smile!
Ish!
We could use another album from them!

I knew she had a phone in her back pocket, cause that ass was calling me
Lol
nice
Henry knows that good tone begins in the hands...
"Uuhhm I really don't know." Awesome!
yeah that was the only part I had a problem with too Bert. He said give credit where credit is due. I give credit to Henry for getting to be where he is now on guitar playing. I agree actually. I doubt the invisible know it all was the one who gave Henry his talent.
@@SatanClaus69 yep it's called TIME N BLOOD where I come from n I still ain't put enough of either in it. I'd have to de-vein a whale to get to Henry's level 🤣🤣
@@gregamerson9172 I'm sure you're a good enough player in your own right, cheers!

They are good close to Santana they are great give them credit new generation
I wouldn’t say new generation, they’ve been playing for like 30 years now. Their grandkids are making music now…
I would love the fact of why he uses ibanez tube Screamer's, ik why but does anyone else
"I dont know if its a usa or mexican strat" lol, just look at the back of tbe headstock!
Really cool guy 😎
Very nice
Epoxy? That seems kind of extreme. Love Henry's tone tho

..like...Carlos Santana and SRV had a baby and BAM! this guy..
