Well, the game has very little to do with the movie it was based on, and the movie has NOTHING to do the short story it was based on. (Stephen King even sued them about it). So yeah, it's kinda cool for what it is. But it is not what it actually is.
Saw this movie when I was 12 and it blew my tiny mind. The extensive use of CGI was groundbreaking at the time. This game actually looks pretty fun, but I can see it was also brutal in difficulty.

Man, there's so much UI and so many special effects going on in this, especially in the VR stages. Really smacks of "we hired demoscene programmers".
These cyber sections look like what the 90s thought videogames would look like in 10 years.
