Hi from Connecticut, Robert. Haven't had an opportunity to travel outside the US, so the ol' InterWebs is my ticket to visiting other countries. I love hearing how people from other lands view the US. Shappi's story about telling her joke at a US pool party had me nodding in agreement. A British accent gets us almost every time. I did laugh at Shappi's joke, though. ;-) Without doubt, Carpool is a, pardon the pun, great vehicle for a chat show. Thanks for creating it and continued success!

I've always found her to be entertaining, and the joke she told was told in the olde days before the web by Bette Midler as a Sophie Tucker storie on a vinyl recording..still a great joke. What's the matter with you Soph' ain't you got a vase???

Admit it, who else was trying to do the clicky thing at the end of it there.
I wouldn't say sheep are more ecological than cows. There are just more cows at the moment. Sheep and goats eat grass by biting it off at the ground, where cows only eat the tops. If we tried to switch from cattle to sheep, we might marginally reduce the methane, but we'd drastically reduce the greenery.
Don't think they had great chemistry together. It was an enjoyable episode, but don't think they got on too well.

I think I know why no one laughed at her joke. Though americans do have some good characteristics, we also have the unfortunate characteristic of being a bit dense and at times very uncreative. Rather sad. I thought it was a good joke, (though I admit it did take me a second to get it).
