Somewhere on Earth is off to discover Cape Verde: an archipelago of ten or so islands situated in the Atlantic Ocean, 600 km off the coast of Senegal. Ten little worlds, whose sole natural riches are their mountains and their deserts… lands of sand and stone… tormented by the winds and currents. We visit with George, Theo and Mitu. Who would you love to hang out with? Let us know in the comments.
Exploring Cape Verde through this documentary is a journey of contrasts and natural beauty. The rugged landscapes, rare bird sanctuaries, and the passion of locals like George, Theo, and Mitu shine through. Thanks for revealing the hidden treasures of these islands!

Hey, what is happening in Kenya right now? I don't trust our main stream media. It seems the USA is causing trouble there. edit: You should make some videos about what is happening. I know there are plenty of people wanting to know.
I love nature.. Coming to Cape Verde would be nice for me. I'm a Nigerian, I took interest in this Country after watching their national football team at AFCON. Although they're out of the tournament, I've seen them play the best football as I know it. They've beautiful people and now, I've seen nature at it's best. If GOD wishes, I'll be in this Country someday.
What beautiful video, well done. Getting to see these wonderful simple,, honest people. Thank you for making that possible. These Free documentaries bless my life.
What a beautiful Cabo Verde islands 🏝, so peaceful and extremely safety and friendly people .Absolutely superb 👌 Bravo. Beautiful romantic music 🎶 forever. Greetings from beautiful Hawaii islands ⛵️ 🏝
Currently studying in The Netherlands I grew up in São Vicente so I'm happy you guys made this mini documentary! Although there could have been shared more of the people themselves to give a broader perspective on how they live in the city of São Vicente, Mindelo. It is the island that culturally represents Cabo Verde the most, with its outstanding music, and the relaxed way people live there is something worth getting jealous of. It's the most partying island of the archipelago as well, counting on one of the best carnivals in the world. Great for people who really want to get to know about the (good-looking) Capeverdeans. It also has one of the best port systems of Cabo Verde as Porto Grande has been playing an important role in the economy of the island and the ones around it. I loved the way how Jorge and Zé have been taking care of the vulnerable fauna in the islands of Santa Luzia and the peaceful vibe you transmitted from Santo Antão, because that is how it really is! (and the most beautiful as well) I agree there could have been more instructed guides making a living of it. The truth is Santo Antão is still being discovered by tourists and that it still has the potential to increase its visitation percentage. When the time comes, the many original guides that have been working behind the scenes for years will appear. There is a lot of opportunities! And there is Sal (amongst the other six remaining, different, islands) which has become a major touristic attraction in West Africa for many coming from Europe. I hope if one is going on vacation one actually contributes to sustainable tourism activities, such as eating in original restaurants, as hotel chains try to retain all the money within. All of what has been told I resonate. And that people are passionate about life is the norm in those islands. Cape Verde, a country/archipelago with a strong history, a modern mindset, looking into a future with great perspectives. Do your own research shall I say. Proud of being Capeverdean.
Omg I watch all you documentaries and I’m so happy to see that you did this one about my country!!! I’m very impressed and grateful!! Keep doing the good work!!!

Discovered this island through the singer, Cesaria Evora, who is from these islands. Up until then I had never heard of them. Thanks to this amazingly insightful video, I can experience her homeland and see the beauty of its people and the influences that shaped the music, 'mornas' (sp).
Super Cool (in Franglaise). I've been wanting to visit since the 80's. Cape Verdeans organised the unforgettable salsa "dancings" at ISOL students union in Leuven Belgium. Beautiful music and people.

I have been following all your documentaries, your team is so professional, recording the real story of every corner of the world, that I am immersed in your channel, But please allow me to give you a suggestion, I am Chinese, and I hope you can make Chinese subtitles, so I can better understand, thank you for your efforts, let us see a different world
While we’d love to accommodate all languages or more languages, our main language is English. But I can certainly make a suggestion to the team to see what’s possible.
This is a beautiful documentary and I admire and am grateful for the work these men are doing. With Cape Verde currently being on the verge of being colonized again, this time by China, I can’t help but feel sad that you chose to focus this documentary on Portuguese and French man, instead of the people of the island who have so much more culture insight to share given Cape Verde’s history with colonialism. The are a lot of interesting Cape Verdeans doing interesting things on the islands that would make for a very compelling documentary. Also, the translation is not very good. I am wondering if you had Cape Verdeans who are fluent in Criolo, Portuguese and English on your team to translate. Again, this is not meant to diminish this beautiful documentary and the work the men you highlighted are doing. We, Cape Verdeans have such beautiful culture and connection to our land. It would have been nice to see more of it from our perspective.
Wow 😮 it's was a great documentary i liked 👍 but specifically that two brothers Mr George and his brother both of them are great in the documentary and they inspired me a lot ❤ it's called real humanity what they are doing 😘 so my advice to the rest of the world that please be kind not just with humans be kind also with animals and with all creatures of creator 👉 please always be kind the life is very short
