That's how you whack hayfields down in no time, I must say I really enjoy your choice in music too. It's really nice to have "buddy seats" in the tractors nowadays. Grant's big grins tell the story.
I remember riding on our H Farmall so i could jump off and help hook up the trailer plow that had a hitch trip when it caught a rock. Short years later i was the driver with my sons riding and learning the job. I watch my sons now with their sons. God bless and safe farming
Remember back in the ole days when I was a wee lad our tractor didn’t have a buddy seat spent many hours on the fender with dad cutting and bailing hay
Thanks for another great video Kip. It was interesting and enjoyable. What beautiful hay you have now. Nice and thick and heavy. Wow. Lots of farmers in the Midwest have no hay to cut due to the drought. You cuttings are just wonderful. Will make good feed for your cows. You have more hay ground than I thought. Nice. Thanks to you Kip for taking Grant in the tractor while cutting hay. He was really enjoying that. Nothing like riding with dad in the tractor. He will always remember those times. Thanks Kip. You are a good dad. You got the silo unloader going again. Lots of maintenance to those unloaders. They do a lot of work. About it for now I guess. Was a good video. Nice hay crop. Thanks for everything Kip. The Iowa Farm Boy. Steve.
I'm telling you I watch four different farmers and four different states + 1 in Canada and u have the best crops of all ....esp.the hay and corn...unreal.....God bless..🎉🎉🎉
Reminds me of my childhood, driving tractors before cars, need more of this in todays world. Memories and showing great work ethic. He is always gonna remember those moments. Keep up good work!!
Father and son time is alwaya a good thingl to see. It's funny how you hate naps when your little but look so forward to getting one when you get older.
You guys are definitely right up there with one of my favorite. Keep up the hard work. And don't ever stop making videos. Look forward to them. Thanks. Have a good one
That was such a great pleasure watching Grant with you in the tractor, Kip! I think you’ve been waiting for a while for the opportunity to spend that quality time with him at work. Farmers work long, hard hours and it’s great to see that you are managing to incorporate Grant into some of those hours. You’re very protective of his safety, also. Great job, Dad! 🏍🇺🇸🎒
Another great video Kip and that young Grant of yours takes me back riding with my grand dad. You don't forget those things. I live in Southern Ontario Canada and we have been getting some rain here and there as well. Looking up at the sky today I must say I was seeing normal Fluffy white clouds coming out of the North west and it has been a very long time since I have seen normal clouds. All the best using that bag system as I see many farmers using this system more and more every year.
I loved going to the farm since I was very young. When I was a little over 2 years old, I wandered away into a wheat field away from the 3 story farmhouse in Saskatchewan. I had the farm collie with me. My mother came out and asked where I was. The men including my father were working on the house. They climbed to the roof and looked for me. They saw some swirling around in the grain field. I had wet pants and the dog stuck with me. That was a good thing. Otherwise the ending could have easily been something else. When your son Grant was walking outside, I wondered if Grant would ever be tempted to go into the corn field. At least you could put your drone up to see him.
When My son was Grants age we called him two trip Thomas. Two trips around rge field and he was sleeping. I used to make it a couple rounds with my father then go exploring. I would come back covered with black berries or wild Strawberrys
I think you should have two balers. Strange weather seems to have be the new normal so getting a lot done in short windows is going to be a permanent necessity.
Yeah never cuss the rain. Things don't grow without it. I've told people here who were going to play golf. They would fuss about the rain. I always told them a golf course was a waste of good farmland. They never cussed the rain again. Lol
Four feet and 20 foot disc fines and 1 - 30 foot mounted on tractor with two wings on the back cut 1000 acres and a whole day between Orchard and Clearwater Nebraska and back on June 1, 2023 for 1200 cow dairy just west of Clearwater Nebraska
On sonne farm channel they would love to have your problem with the rain. They are in a severe drought in their area. The rain keeps missing them. The farmers are starting to talk about what to do with the cattle if it doesn’t turn around soon. A 200 bale field can only yield around 30 bales. So you know it is bad. They cut a bale the better spots in the field then turn the cattle into the hay field.
I worked for different farmers cutting hay. Could never figure out why they had wide windrows of hay you drive on it pack it down it doesn’t get air to dry. If you keep your windrows tight let the fields dry out in between the windrows. Then go out the next day and use a tedder to scatter it out and dry rake it then bale it. I understand a Tedder is an added expense.
Another great video. Reminds me of growing up on the farm. Dont quite get what wrapping a bale that has some hay that hasn't fully dried get you other than a moldy bale. Has to be some reason or you wouldnt do it. Was hoping you would show us some bales getting wrapped.
I watch (How Farms Work) go there he has been using the bag system now I think this is his 3rd season. He has learned how to do it and it is working out great for them and the cattle love it.
the farm i worked for had a 3 oint hitch mower and i hated the thing had 2 rocks come threw the cab glass dang glass sounds like a gun going off would flat scare th shit out of you when it happens

Michigan summer best time of year 🇺🇸
Cutting hay/ alfalfa is my favorite! You have some beautiful fields. Grant is getting big.
Memories made riding with Dad, priceless. He will remember that for the rest of his life. I remember riding with my Dad. Great video Kip.
Absolutely!
He sure will.
Watching Grant enjoy tractor rides reminds me of when I was a young kid and my grandpa would take me for tractor rides. Good times
Sure was, never be that good again. 👍
Kipp ‘ dual wheels on hay cutting tractor 😂😂. The rain sure sounded good. Nap time for the cows. Thanks young man.
Impressive crops and beautiful drone footage. Thanks for sharing!
Your hay looks great. Your corn looks great, and your son's smile is priceless.

One of the best farming channels on UA-cam and one of the best managed farms too. Thanks, Kip!
Great video and wonderful done footage. Kip keep the great videos going
Its well worth the slower pace to pass on farming to the next generation. You guys do it right.
I'm telling you I watch four different farmers and four different states + 1 in Canada and u have the best crops of all ....esp.the hay and corn...unreal.....God bless..🎉🎉🎉

I remember chopping with my dad in his 8210 ford back when he still milked cows I miss it 😔

Enjoyed ĶIP 😊
Congratulations on getting to the all-star team and a good hay crop!
Nice stuff you are cutting! Cattle are going to devour that winter!
The Grant man did a great job of helping you. He sure loves tractor time with you.
Sure was great to see him😊

Good show
Grant man looks good high and tight!
Been clipping my own hair for 30 years, musta saved thousand dollars by now
wow...., amazing.... 💪💪
Couple more years and Grant will be running that tractor.
I’m sure you guys are very thankful for your hay crop, Sonne farms as well as others in South Dakota are sure hurting for hay.
I think you should have two balers. Strange weather seems to have be the new normal so getting a lot done in short windows is going to be a permanent necessity.
Howdy Kip
Hi 👋
Yeah never cuss the rain. Things don't grow without it. I've told people here who were going to play golf. They would fuss about the rain. I always told them a golf course was a waste of good farmland. They never cussed the rain again. Lol

To me it would make more sense to just have one Self-propeld windwrower but if this works for your operation all the power to ya !!!

I think you have a little Farmer there. He is so intense on what is going on.

Nice 🇱🇷
👍👍
hi sir, I'm from Morocco and i really enjoying your videos every time i watched, can you telling me which system irrigation you use
Hey come to my sister's graduation party this Saturday at 1:00pm .at my house at my dads
I heard 4inchs I was up there today hauling cow feed
Yes almost 4

I watch (How Farms Work) go there he has been using the bag system now I think this is his 3rd season.
He has learned how to do it and it is working out great for them and the cattle love it.
When opening up a field why don't you drive in the hay and cut the outside row first? How do you judge how far to stay away from the edge?
I know im a few days late, but how does a small tractor like that handle all the weight of a big impliment especially a mower that size...
the farm i worked for had a 3 oint hitch mower and i hated the thing had 2 rocks come threw the cab glass dang glass sounds like a gun going off would flat scare th shit out of you when it happens
Them there fancy mowers are built 20 minutes away from me.
I’m curious what a disbine is?
Have you ever thought of taking 6" off the lot outdoors
Or sell it to a compost company. $$$
How much rain did you get last night
Wouldn’t it be just as well to agbag it instead of marshmallows?
I can't get a plastic bag in the grocery store
Why don't you chop it
We don’t need it for silos
I think they bale all the 2nd cut to make space in the silos and then they chop the 3rd
Love your Channel but this music in the beginning has to go
