How about doing predictions of Cameron Myers? At 16 he bettered Ingerbrigsten's mile record for 16 year olds by almost 2 secs, running 3:55.44 in February this year.

I had been watching Team Ingebrigtsen for years so I never doubted his talent and potential and it was not his times as much as his approach. He had this competitive focus and fearlessness that was so rare, I mean the athletes he remined me of were two, a young basketball's Michael Jordan and the other a young Steve Prefontaine. At 13 he predicted that he would beat his older brother Henrick and that he would win the Olympics both at 20. Also when he ran the world champs in 2019 at 18 and finished 5th in the 5,000. What impressed me the most is with 400 m to go he tried to win. Not try for a medal he tried to win. That so reminded me of Steve Prefontaine in the 72 Olympic 5,000. If pre would have held his kick, he would have medaled and same with Jakob, if he would have went at 200 or 150 m, he would have medaled. And his interview after those races he said the people who beat him were not better than him and he walked away disappointed. We talk a lot about young Americans, but how many of these great young talented kids would be disappointed if they won both 1500 and 5,000 at USA's, ran a 3:31 1500 which is equal to a 3:48 mile at 17 and took 4th and 5th place at the World Champs at 18. Jakob is the best and most talented distance runner I've seen since Eliud Kipchoge and he's the best distance runner from a non east African country of all time. If he can stay focused and committed for another 3 or 4 years he will be the best distance runner of all time and it won't even be close. Also you say his best 3k is 7:24. Hi! I really enjoy your videos, not only because they are very well done, but your research is always excellent! What I like the most is the way you tell the story, you are a very good speaker/story teller! That’s why I really didn’t like the TRP in spanish (Spanish is my first language) When I saw the TRP logo in red I got excited, but the voice is quite bad. It sounds like a guy who has lived in USA all his life, and learned spanish from his family (latin background), which uses “spanish words” wrongly (the words are english pronounced in spanish) and the worst is that the tone on his voice is missing all the excitement you transmit in your english videos. Just my personal opinion. 😅. And thank you for your videos!!
I'd not predict a specific race, but I think he can get scary-close (if not eclipse) the world record in the 1500m. With the way he's been running this year its not out of the question he could get into the 3:26 range, but can he get below it into the 3:25's. He looked stunned after getting beat in the WC 1500m last year and I don't think he'll let that happen again unless the challenger can get under the world record.
Cocky? I was at Bislett. The others run multiple personal bests chasing him. He is like Michael Jordan or Tiger Woods, he is the big gamechanger. Running will not be the same ever.
Thanks for a great video. I am curious on your take on Hicham El Guerrouj in a modern setting with fast track, modern shoe design and wave light. What would you think his potential would be? And track, shoes and wave light in what order would you rank them in terms on what would give the most benefit?
Hi, Did you see the time by the 17-year-old Australian at the most recent Diamond League 1500m? He has broken the u18 world record and is a long way ahead of Ingebrigtsen at the same age.
I think he should hop into an 800. Where I think he’d throw down a 1:44. Then a week later hop into a 5k. I think the 800 to help sharpen his speed would help him and he’d go 12:37
Just for shits and giggles, I'd love to see what he could do in the 800 and even the 400. I know he probably doesn't have the blazing speed for the 400 but it would be interesting to see.
If he can run a 3:43 mile, which is just underneath 55s per 400 pace, for an entire MILE, I don't see how he couldn't absolutely CRUSH a fast time for the 800 and 400. I'm thinking about 1:43 in the 800 and 45 in the 400.
He is THE best middle distance/distance runner on the planet showcasing the perfect combination of speed, strength, power, endurance, and tactical intelligence.
But Jacob KIPLIMO went from 12:48 to 12:40 like you hope Jakob Ingebrigtsen will do I think kiplimo can run a solid 12:36 as an Ugandan runner like Joshua and and I think Yomif Kejelcha can run a solid 12:37 as an Ethiopian like Kenenisa BEKELE but yomif might be at his limit like we kinda seeing from Joshua both 24 and 25 but kiplimo has a chance because he 22 just like Kenenisa BEKELEwhen he ran world record
if you compare the equipment such as shoes and other things between Komen and Ingebrigtsen and the covering of the tartan courts on the old courts and the new courts, Komen is still the GOAT!
He's laser focused on taking the 1500 gold this year, so his first and probably only 5k this season will likely be worlds in Budapest. He's indicated this during interviews
He will have all the long distance world records by the end of his carrer. El Guerrouj's records is the only ones i think he will have a problem with. Maybe not impossible, but it will be very hard.

I presume that Jakob is able to run 3k
jacob has the mental and physical spirit of a champion go jacob
Do another top 10 distance runners all time
nothing can stop him,he will be te best runner of all time.
Another nice Running History Channel episode. Good work my man. Also….. As for you being right on your predictions…………Great job but no one gives af 😂😂
We're on "world record" watch
Awesome video! I remember those predictions
You deserve your flowers I remember when you were hyping this guy yrs ago, before I ever new him.
Key take away: he was right about jakob
The 1500 and 300m records are his - this summer!
My predictions for his career: 3:25.89, 7:18.9, 12:36, 4 Olympic golds
I called this guy as a machine when he was a sophomore
When I die in 2063 Hicham El Guerrouj will still have the 1500m world record.
As a dutchie, a video about Niels Laros would be amazing, he just ran a 3.32 in the 1500 as an 18 year old!?!?!??
I think it will not go that fast at Lausanne. Maybe 3'30/3'31 for Jakob
He broke Komens 2 mile record. He can be cocky. Girma is legit tho.
Seems like yesterday you made those predictions.
Cocky? I was at Bislett. The others run multiple personal bests chasing him. He is like Michael Jordan or Tiger Woods, he is the big gamechanger. Running will not be the same ever.
Very impressive. Bravo!
Thanks for a great video. I am curious on your take on Hicham El Guerrouj in a modern setting with fast track, modern shoe design and wave light. What would you think his potential would be? And track, shoes and wave light in what order would you rank them in terms on what would give the most benefit?
@TotalRunningProductions would be great to hear your thoughts about this. Cheers!
3.27,14 🙂
Hi, Did you see the time by the 17-year-old Australian at the most recent Diamond League 1500m? He has broken the u18 world record and is a long way ahead of Ingebrigtsen at the same age.
Jakob is a beast
I think he will break 3:27. My guess is 3:26.9. Bold I know, but I think he is ready now.
Did you predict Cam Myers taking his u16 1500m, mile and 3000m records?
I think he should hop into an 800. Where I think he’d throw down a 1:44. Then a week later hop into a 5k. I think the 800 to help sharpen his speed would help him and he’d go 12:37
He gets all the speed he needs from the fast 1500s he runs.
My guess is a 12:32 5000m and 7:22 3000m and 3:27.0 1500m ...he owns the 2 miles and could take that lower if he wants to as well!
I think he’ll run 3:27.05 ~ on a good day, but I have no doubt that he could dip under 3:27 on an exceptional day
His fastest time will be today or in Silesia.
Just for shits and giggles, I'd love to see what he could do in the 800 and even the 400. I know he probably doesn't have the blazing speed for the 400 but it would be interesting to see.
Low 48
If he can run a 3:43 mile, which is just underneath 55s per 400 pace, for an entire MILE, I don't see how he couldn't absolutely CRUSH a fast time for the 800 and 400. I'm thinking about 1:43 in the 800 and 45 in the 400.
He already split around 7:21 for 3k during the 2 mile record
I hope Jake Wightman beats him again, it would be an interesting ego-check to witness
6:41 Bro thinks he's him
He is THE best middle distance/distance runner on the planet showcasing the perfect combination of speed, strength, power, endurance, and tactical intelligence.
I love Kiplimo! There are two great Jacobs!
His closing speed is insane
Awesome video! 😎
That 3000 going down
Agree with all of your predictions here.
if you compare the equipment such as shoes and other things between Komen and Ingebrigtsen and the covering of the tartan courts on the old courts and the new courts, Komen is still the GOAT!
Honestly i think he can run the 5k WR if he chooses to go for it
Does anyone know if he plans to run a fast 5000m this season? I assume the Budapest 5000m will be more tactical.
Комментарий разумного человека. Якоб более склонен к 5000м чем к 1500м. У него есть проблемы с быстрым финишем.Отсюда его поражения в 2022 году. А в тактических забегах на победу, его шансы выйграть ещё меньше
I honestly think he’ll run 3:26 mid, 7:19, and 12:40
I said it a couple vids ago, and I’m sticking to it. Jakob will take down the WR in the 1500m this year. Mark my words
I can't disagree with you.
Jakob is getting married this September. How will that potentially affect him? 🤔 Even if he is supert strict and professional, I am sure that will take some of his focus.
i reckon he goes 3:26,9 sec, and takes the wr in the 3000m
Ugh. Celebrate the athletes, not yourself.
If you are the best in the world you better be cocky.
If he broke the 2 mile by that much he can surely crush the 3000m wr
In Lausanne he's going to run 3:28.5
To be precise, Jakob hasn't met your 2019 prediction for the mile. Your prediction was 3,46,00 and Jakob ran 3,46,46.
