Now I know a lot of you are sick of the Punchy Hunter so I aimed to do something different with this build
and it exceded everything that I thought it would do. It basically builds off of my last hunter build on the channel that a lot of you really liked and takes things to a whole new level thanks to some great interactions with out abilities were choosing and exotics were choosing.
Speaking of which I farmed 31 different class Items and I never expected this Exotic combo to be the one I can't take off! And that's saying a lot with some of the Hunter combos there are. I actually had some good rng too with god rolls on my hunter, at least a lot better than my warlock that's for sure.
It does everything I want a Build to do for me and I cant stress this next part enough. It is some of the most fun
I have ever had in Destiny 2 and I made 2 buddys of mine try it and run it and they literally can't put it down.
Rob is calling it the indestructible nuke and grim says its some of the dumbest fun he has had, everything just goes boom!
Now the first thing is your super, You have 2 choices that I really like. Either the new Storms Edge Super Or Golden gun. I really like the new Arc super and it will provide us with the Amplified buff which is a 35% damage reduction
in pve. When we start stacking amplified with our infinite Woven Mail because we have 3 sources to proc woven mail from, along with Facet of protection. We get a very high damage reduction and that's without counting 100 Resil which you should be running at all times!
Of course take Gamblers Dodge, so we can dodge close to an enemy to get our melee back instantly. As for our Melee
ability we take Threaded Spike and this melee shines within this build and will probably leave you speechless at times. When you throw it out it can hit up to 5 enemies, it does great damage for a ranged melee with all the buffs
it got and it also servers whatever it hits. This means it cuts the outgoing damage of things like these bosses in the new mission by 40% and when paried with a ton of damage reduction its hard to die. But the best thing is every time that threaded spike bonuses and kills enemies, its going to set of a ignition that were buffing up. Also while
your in Trancsendents you have basically infinite threaded spikes. So when they sever and bounce off the high health targets they will ignite everything around it. The kills with sever make us invisible and so does the kills
with the ignitions as well! Hopefully you see where were going with this.
Our grenade of choice is the grapple grenade and this too counts as a melee ability and a grenade ability at the same time. So when we use any grenade we gain woven mail for 10 seconds. The reason I say any grenade is because we
have 3 different ones to be using within your gameplay, Since this counts as a melee will set off a huge ignition
with it. Unravel everything left alive, It will make us go invisible as well while giving our strand weapons unraveling rounds and void weapons volatile rounds for 12 seconds each! It will also instantly charge our first aspect which is gunpoweder gamble. This has a 6 second cooldown and your going to be chucking these left and right.
Gunpowder counts as a grenade as well so we get woven mail when throwing it and you can easily have one up every 10
seconds. so infinite woven mail with that alone, but grapple also gives you it and so does our transcendent grenade HailFire! Every time you throw Hailfire your procing woven mail and you will be chucking so many of those in Transcendence.

Been running this exact build but with graviton lance. I knew this cloak was a godroll.
I heard facet of hope is bugged and not working.
Can u pls confirm?

@@niclasquistgaard5760 the class items aren't unlimited in perks so some builds will still need different exotics. Celestial nighthawk for example.
You can also pair this with the Navigator if you want to double down on strand grapple

Before getting our class item i made a fun build with Ascension Stylish + RDM for exotic. Stasis melee to deal with two different kind of champs (ascension also stops overloads) + stand unraveling rounds for barriers
Waveframe Ergo Sum was basically to top it off for chefs kiss
I will only swap RDM for class item if I get HOIL roll with Coyotes/Cyrtarachnes/ Synthos, otherwise RDM stays on
I got exotic class item hoil with wormhusk, which is great neutral play. BUT still not as effective as my base hunter/shinobu build which kills with the Artifact (galvanic armor + shieldcrush just make everything jolt/explode). Still trying to beat this with a prismatic exotic cloak
Try a waveframe ergo sum with Arc Conductor intrinsic

My experiences with a punchy hunter have been a blast but I could see it getting old, then again so does everything else.
Step one get Hunter exotic class item
How viable is this in GM and 2040 activities when things just don't die that easily?
Well thankfully this build doesn’t have a rotation that is solely reliant on a certain type of kill, and u also stack so much DR and proc invis so often that as long as ur careful it should do quite well.
Plus there’s the fact that GMs aren’t as dangerous as they once were, u should be fine if you don’t get too cocky.
I was running a build with spirit of Verity and at 5 stacks it was doubling my GPG explosions and i think with courage it gets the bonus damage on darkness debuffed enemies, i paired it with spirit of inmost light for even more abiltiy spam and its pretty crazy. Highest GPG number i saw was like 127k+
First exotic class item I got was “spirit of inmost” and “spirit of verity” and it COOKS
So using grapple counts bonus damage to GPG too?
Is it just me thats having calibans not work properly? I can kill three enemies with a spike or withering blade and only the first will ignite
It's the game not handling that amount of info. Ever seen an ignition without damage numbers? Same idea
I like using a variation of this build but instead of stylish, I'm using ascension with gunpowder gamble and tether for the super. So you still get amplified but also jolt with ascension, radiant from melee, void overshield from orbs, woven mail, severing and unraveling enemies, and getting volatile rounds for void weapons. Build goes hard. So much more fun than the dodge punch meta.
If you want to find a way to shake up the dodge/punch meta. Equip Balance of Power and watch the absolutely unholy amount of threadlings you can create.
@@SerothTalon I did that too! Winters shroud with threaded specter and bombadiers was a total blast.
Spirit of Verity apparently has some spicy sync with Gunpowder gamble, makes it deal stupid amounts of damage.
So using grapple counts bonus damage to GPG?
Or do I have to use solar grenade to have same element?
@@ss_illenium4634 No GPG "inherits" the element of your base grenade. So with spirit of verity you need kills with the same element as your base grenade to stack the buff and then release it with GPG.
Finally a non melee/class combo build
Those builds are powerful of course but, I'm tired of that playstyle. Tbh I'm enjoying my warlock more (which is my least favorite) than my hunter which is my main.

I'm so jealous. The exact class item combo I've been looking to get to run with threaded needle.
The fact that Bungo made Prismatic and D2 feel like Borderlands is something I've been saying D2 needs to do forever.
Copy Borderlands more often, Bungo. They're superior for a reason.

The punchy hunter is great for solo players but once there is nothing to punch or you get slowed by enemies you get exposed so fast. Never felt so invincible and so vulnerable with a build before.
I am basically using your first hunter prismatic build but instead of buffing my stasis grenade i am running nighthawk with still hunt and golden gun so i have the ultimate ad clear with punches and dps with Nighthawk

Never thought I'd have so much fun with a hunter until I found this build. I'm running the exotic helmet with the call & graviton lance. I'm having such a blast with it. Super fun build. You just earned a sub!
So the video shows the exotic hunter class item but the link shows calibans hand? With different weapons in the video compared to the link? How does calibans hand play into threaded spike when its a strand and calibans calls for solar? Super confused on this build now after watching
Mobalytics might not have a way for him to put on the exotic class item, which would have calibans and cyrtarachne. The exotic class item version of caliband works with any charged melee
Asking because I’m genuinely wondering - amplified at its base does not provide 35% DR? It’s only if you rock the artifact mod?

I had a build pretty similar to this! I had spirit of Verity, instead of crytarachne so I had more damage from the grapple melee itself, very good build!
The only Caliban's cloak I got to drop so far was this roll.. wasn't sure how good it would be, but gonna try this now! Thanks 😁

recommended this build to my friend. he's got a caliban's/verity exotic that i think will work really well for this. excited to see him try it out and start nuking things alongside my osmiomancy/claw warlock build
You can substitute Cyrtarachne with Gyrfalcon and get Volatile explosions everywhere instead of Woven Mail. I think this is okay to do; Prismatic Hunter is invisible constantly, so I feel you can get away with less armour. I'll take more offence, personally.
Buried Bloodline gives you Devour, so there's your survivability if you really want it. But my favourite is Word of Crota because with Threaded Spike it's even easier to get the Cursed Thrall perk rolling. Word of Crota will give you triple explosions (Dragonfly, Volatile, Cursed Thrall). It's kinda amazing. Plus, this frees your exotic up. Ager's Sceptre or Conditional Finality are top notch, or even Dragon's Breath.
Can you test spirit of the Foetracer? Cant understand if its working
Same. I have one with the woven mail helmet perk and foetracer and can t seem to understand if it s working or not
I don’t think it is.. I have foe tracers and verity.. and I only see the buff from verity
Hey so I tested it again and it does work. It will show up as a x4 surge sometimes when it has space because of the other buffs. Doesn t stack with armor surges and overrides them if they match

I've been playing with cyrachne + calibans really enjoying it - I've also been running this build with calibans + synthoceps for some harder content at times since if you can ensure the survivability synthoceps allows threaded spike to still be able to cause final blows + ignitions when the ads are more tanky etc!
Is the translation of Caliban in German wrong? because it says: "Your proximity blast meter scorches targets that take damage from its explosions or ignites targets on a killing blow After throwing a proximity explosion knife, you gain increased melee regeneration until the knife explodes."

You can just go with punch-hunter with Combination Blow, Stylish Executioner. That build's pretty simple.
I rarely comment on builds, but thanks, really, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I had almost given up on Hunter this season and was about to switch to the dark side, I mean to Warlock, but this build takes everything I've loved about Hunter for years and combines it into a perfect build!

4 grenades if you have the artifact perk that makes tangles have bigger explosions if you shoot it with a strand weapon
I've been running your previous build with Foetracer instead of Cytarachne's and it was a lot of fun to use but then the very first class item exotic I get is Caliban's + Star Eaters and oh boy does that cook. Easily do over 600k damage when landing all 3 storm edge attacks, and the threaded spike caliban's is just busted. Definitely my default build from now on, with the neutral game + damage super I can easily do most content.
Although I admit Storm's Edge can get a bit risky in certain encounters, but you can run golden gun for a "Nighthawk at home" kinda super. Highly recommend to give it a shot!
I like this class exotic. If im doing something like the last boss on warlords though i switch to the one that also gives duskfield grenade frost armor as ur standing stationary alot taking damage. Also cyrachny with galanor paired with silence and squal is super good too.
I got this roll my first time running dual destiny so I’m glad it’s useful and I don’t have to grind for more for now

What do you recommend short of the cloak roll? Caliban's feels key to it, so may try building this with Caliban's for now to get used to the play style with a bit less survivability / synergy.

So I got Caliban, Coyote. I feel like this could be pretty nasty. If I was trying to do something like this Plunder what would you change?

Imo caliban+Liar's complement each other nicely if you're into the combination blow spam. Caliban will help clear mobs and Liar's will help with single targets.
Other than that you could try Verity to improve grapple grenades damage and guarantee a kill for the ignition on higher tier content
This is really good but Ill probably go for spectre aspect as that still does nice damage via threadlings and adds pseudo invis. Instead of GG i mean. Dunno why but GG feels clunky to use
If u get it you should try it spirit of foetracer and spirit of cyrtachne

Already built something similar on accident 😂 i danm near kill myself with that solar grenade so many times. Sometimes, if the adds teleport in your face, you're done for.
Please do a warlock class item and truly let us know if the future is the best one for end game content the prismatic warlock is impressive just your solar titan with x 3 resto I don’t think anything will ever beat that build for me I use to run through dungeons solo with that easily
Disappointed with the new Arc super it’s definitely better in PvP then PvE so many better supers for PvE
Im just a little confused. Can somebody help me understand why specifically Caliban’s Hand, if we’re utilizing the Threaded Spike instead of the Knife?
Calibans works with any melee on the class item lol

I don't think my brain can handle the multiple exotic perk combos that you can do along with how to start a fight with all of them lol. I took a brake from destiny 2 a couple months or so before into the light. It looks fun as hell but also super time consuming

Imma be honest, ive seen threaded spike be inconsistent with caliban, sometimes they die nd just evaporate in strand and dont explode

Just like my comment on the previous video, so happy my instincts about this build were right. You can take it one step further by adding Buried Bloodline for Devour too, meaning that if something ever does enough damage to drop your health any kill will just shoot you back up and provide grenade recharge too. Catalyst weakens to feed into the loop. At that point Stylish is actually irrelevant, drop it for Winter's Shroud and enjoy a massive boost to dodge recharge whenever you slow someone and as a panic button for even more DR and whatever fragment you like.
If you dont have to cloak what exotic would you recommend?
Good for add clearing but definitely not something I would run in a raid.
I find exotic class mission to be pain the class items should not be locked behind a mission most dont want to do

Woven mail from the fragment only last 5s vs 15 from amplified. Plus the class item he’s using gives woven mail.

This is literally the build I’ve been wanting to make since before launch. Just haven’t run the exotic mission enough yet

But in all honesty, your builds have been the most consistent and most worthwhile in the Destiny 2 build-crafting scene for some time now. Happy to have your insights for the 192 possible prismatic class exotic combinations. We've got work to do!
Good vid as always. I still personally prefer Renewals + Cytoarachnes. Swap Grapple for Duskfield Grenade and Facet of Hope (which doesn't work right now btw) for Facet of Command. Now you're even tankier and can proc constant reloads for free and can still proc Bravery easily thanks to GPG.
I have two cloaks, one with Spirit of Caliban/Gyrfalcon, the other with Foetracer/Cyrtarachne, which one could I use with this build until I get my Caliban/Cyrtarachne cloak?
Cyrtarachne is my favourite hunter exotic for mid-level, casual content. However, it being able to be paired with a damaging exotic perk or another utility perk, like Spirit of the Dragon or Renewal Grasps, I think it will absolutely shine!
I'm playing the same build with gyrfalcon and Caliban with overshield instead of woven Mail through a repulsor weapon, ist's pure destruction😃
If you don't have a class item with those on it, would you prioritise the caliban or the CYRTARACHNE exotic until such a time you do get it?
Hi Plunder!! Just dropped this cloak and man is this build fun!!
I've found success with running the Void super instead, which gives void overshield and allows us to use things like harmonic siphon on the helmet. This pairs well along with the Elemental Siphon artifact mod which creates lots of void breaches.
Plunder, first off, I love your content and thank you for the work you put in for the community. Do you plan on making any prismatic builds for dungeons/raids? I’d love to see some prismatic builds for challenging content.
I returned to this video just to say: this is the most fun (& still survivable) build you’ve ever made and I don’t have Caliban’s yet (currently using Dragon/Cyrtarachne)
I almost play this exact build already except instead of Caliban I have Renewal with duskfield. So I can throw my duskfield on a powerful enemy, sever them with melee and chuck gunpowder gamble. Or even use duskfield on allies in harder content
While I haven't gotten Final Shape yet, this build sounds very similar to what I was planning after I got a taste of Prismatic. Admittedly, I wasn't considering the arc super until I saw what it does here, was also going to just go with knife trick instead of threaded needle but... Maybe I'll reconsider that, see how it goes and if combined with ophidia spathe makes it a worthy alternative candidate.
However, you have sold me on that fragments combo
I run Spirit of Cyrtaracnhne & Galanor. Run Tether super instead = Tanky Tether with way more aggresive oppertunity and movements.

Since when does amplified guve 35% dr? Thought speed booster gace 15% and then the old version made amplified give 10%?
