    Cows if compared to humans.....r like infants even if big in size. So they should be treated with love, compassion, kindness, and care just like how humans treat their babies.

      noblesgirlcuttlefish “Meat is murder” is the battle cry of many vegetarians. But I see more murder in the plastic wrapped, genetically-modified, chemical-sprayed tofu burger than I do in my local grass-fed burger. How many animals had to die for that soybean field to be planted? I could say the same in just about every plant-based food in supermarkets which destroys the diversity in ecosystems to grow crops unsustainably.

    • @Letthembelightpeaceonelove
      @Letthembelightpeaceonelove 4 роки тому +6

      Matthew Jackson Even on grass fed farms the animals are still fed grains or hay to fatten them up. And lots of it. Which means more animals had to die for that hay to get harvested and then a cow who is emotionally the exact same as a dog had to get forced into a slaughterhouse to have his or her neck stabbed and sliced open against their will. Tofu is not sprayed with chemicals. 🤦🏽‍♀️ and there are many charts that show that a vegan diet causes the least amount of deaths including crop deaths.

    ALL ANIMALS SHOULD BE FREE TO ROAM JUST AS WE ARE. PEOPLE ARE OFTEN UNAWARE OF HOW ANIMALS ARE PENNED AND IMPRISONED FOR MUCH OR ALL OF THEIR LIVES. IT IS UNCIVILIZED TO STOP ANIMALS FROM ENJOYING THEIR OFTEN SHORT LIVES BEFORE THEY ARE MURDERED - YES, NOT SLAUGHTERED.

    I hope no one is mislead into thinking there isn't mental and physical torture and ultimate slaughter for these beautiful creatures. Babies torn from their anguished mothers;. Babies that should be nursing from the milk their own mothers' make for them is instead stolen for another species entirely. Mothers that cry for their babies until they are hoarse. Males considered a waste product. Average age of a cow without the constant calf bearing and milk production is 20+ years. A dairy cow lives 4-5 yeas, before her broken down body is sent to become hamburger or dog food.

      what? where? - Your point is well taken, but no, I believe preborn babies and others who cannot speak for themselves deserve our utmost protection and nurturing. Unfortunately, many human mothers see their preborn babies as nuisances to be rid of. If only humans would take a lesson from our sentient animal "neighbors" in this regard, our world would be a better place.

      blixem59 Couldn't agree more, but sadly we vegetarians/vegans are few and far between so we must eliminate meat eating gradually, directly opposite from William Llyod Garrison's failed attempt at an abrupt end to slavery. I think, therefore, that it's imperative that we start by petitioning the FDA to restrict how meat/dairy is made and the living conditions for "health reasons." That will force some factories to change their ways. From there, not long after, we abandon factory farming altogether. Then we reverse our steps and bring it back down to local farms only, until the one day where we are left with green hills and happy cows

    I think you will find that its a British herd of dairy cows who are released after winter as there is not enough grass to keep them going. Its a usual Spring time event if its been a wet or harsh winter. The real issue are other EU member countries who mass rear animals in small places to maximise profit. I know many Cattle farmers, milk farmers in UK and they never indoor rear animals unless its to keep them fed and off wet ground.

      Well stop drinking milk please. Have a look at the horrors of the dairy industry and you'll understand. Please if you think that cows are beautiful animals, consider stop using cow milk as they are used as milk machines until they die for exhaustion. Please educate yourself about the true horrors of the milk industry, their babies are taken away. Thank you.

    Do those condemning separation of calves from cow moms also condemn puppy adoptions? In the wild animals rarely survive to adulthood so mothers have evolved to handle the TEMPORARY distress caused and regret does not take its place. Nope! Cows get on w/life FULLY. Don't make cows people. Cows are beautiful just the way they are.

    • @aceris5874
      @aceris5874 7 років тому +1

      Cheryl Stade Even if cows don't experience regret, is it ok to purposely inflict pain on someone for a temporary period of time? I do condemn human interference with the bond between a mother and her children in all cases. I'd be fine if dogs were put up for adoption when they show close-to-complete independence (though dogs are pack animals, so I'd imagine that'd be rather difficult during the temporary transition period). Regardless, puppy adoptions are on another level; they are typically adopted by a loving family, whereas calves are destined to be killed or raised as dairy cows. Calves are typically separated at birth against the mother's will, whereas puppies should be required to be at least 8 weeks old before being separated from the mother. But I remind you that I do believe all animal mothers should distance themselves from their offspring in a natural manner.

      @cherylstade3614 7 років тому

      You are consistent and I respect that. If its true that calves are typically separated at birth from their mothers that does seem cruel. The calf longs only for its mother and hasn't had the herd experience which the mother has for comfort. So what exactly are you proposing is done w/ calves right after birth and how do you know this? I never lived in farm country. Visited some farms as a child and one briefly as an adult but never learned or even thought about this specific issue. I buy free range eggs and never eat veal because of cruelty issues but the dairy and beef cows I've visited all seemed content and in one farm at least I clearly remember seeing calves w/ their moms in the field.

    This is beautiful but cows and bulls don't need to be in a shed or stall, they can just be left in a pasture/paddock. If the animal is sick, pregnant or injured it is reasonable to keep them somewhere you can keep an eye on them. Let cows be cows!

    • @alistairclement4239
      @alistairclement4239 7 років тому +4

      grass doesn't grow in winter, and the ground is too wet ,so the cows are housed and fed silage/ hay during winter

      and I bet you blast your poor dog's sensitive ears with loud music and tv all day, feed it banal dog food, and then keep it in a tiny back yard - and then you call yourself kind - what your dog really wants to do is hunt, kill, and eat meat

    • @PhilLesh69

      There are places in Germany where they keep the cows in courtyard barns on their properties inside the town, and they have community grazing lands outside of town. They let the cows out each morning, they walk through town to their grazing pasture, then find their way back home at night. I think in some Bavarian towns tourists sometimes gather to watch "when the cows come home".
