There are places in Germany where they keep the cows in courtyard barns on their properties inside the town, and they have community grazing lands outside of town. They let the cows out each morning, they walk through town to their grazing pasture, then find their way back home at night. I think in some Bavarian towns tourists sometimes gather to watch "when the cows come home".

This is beautiful but cows and bulls don't need to be in a shed or stall, they can just be left in a pasture/paddock. If the animal is sick, pregnant or injured it is reasonable to keep them somewhere you can keep an eye on them. Let cows be cows!
grass doesn't grow in winter, and the ground is too wet ,so the cows are housed and fed silage/ hay during winter
and I bet you blast your poor dog's sensitive ears with loud music and tv all day, feed it banal dog food, and then keep it in a tiny back yard - and then you call yourself kind - what your dog really wants to do is hunt, kill, and eat meat
There are places in Germany where they keep the cows in courtyard barns on their properties inside the town, and they have community grazing lands outside of town. They let the cows out each morning, they walk through town to their grazing pasture, then find their way back home at night. I think in some Bavarian towns tourists sometimes gather to watch "when the cows come home".
