    Casper! Thanks so much! I've just found the crucifix my Mum gave me two years ago! Plus a plectrum( I'm a guitarist) and two lucky pounds. Hair clips galore! I called the shop I bought the machine from, they just told me to turn the drain plug ha ha they must be kidding. My wife and I had such a laugh doing this at 9am on a Saturday morning. Seriously though, it really makes the point of checking every pocket in every piece of clothing before you wash. Rock on man. Thanks again.

    You saved me. I needed a pair of parrot beak pliers (we call them “pinces bec de perroquet” in French), and found a - wait for it - pair of my seamless Uniqlo panties. I wondered why I seemed short a pair. 🤪

    I put my machine on its side and the drain filter opened. It took awhile longer to disconnect the black hose and find out what was blocking the filter drain. It turned out to be 2 pieces of change of different sizes and one very tiny nail. There's no need to complely disassemble. Thanks for making this easy.

    Hi Casper, thanks for this video. Unfortunately my iQ500 has a bottom plate and I have no idea how to reach the filter pump. The only was is trough the back panel, but then I can hardly reach the tube and pump.
    It was a painstaking job, but I managed to refit the clamp to the tube, as there is hardly any room to use your tools. But, jobs done. So thanks again for this video

    Thanks for this video as all others didn’t mention the filter cover being stuck and not coming off. In my case we managed to unscrew it open with patience, a sleeve of metal over the plastic and pliers. Hairpins and a mass of lint was caught behind blocking the door mechanism.

    Good advice. But i ended up having to use brute force and wd40 on quite flimsy looking plastic and somehow didnt break it.
    Looking at what had built up behind it, this was the only solution that would have worked.
    Best of luck to whoever else has to resort to this.

    • @qwwwizx
      @qwwwizx  Рік тому

      You tip it. There is no cover in the buttom, so the trick is to get under it. Then you dont have to take anything off

    • @mushroom6565
      @mushroom6565 Рік тому +1

      @@qwwwizx I’m afraid that’s wrong. There is a cover underneath the machine meaning I have to remove before I can access. If only it was as easy as just tipping it!

    • @qwwwizx
      @qwwwizx  Рік тому

      @@mushroom6565 maybe you washing machine is different than mine then. On my machine it was that easy. Then you might have to take it all apart.

    • @mushroom6565
      @mushroom6565 Рік тому +2

      @@qwwwizx yep. Two screws at the back to take the top off. Pull out the detergent tray. 3 more screws there to remove the info panel. Remove the spring on the rubber seal and turn the seal inside the drum. Tilt the machine and remove two screws from underneath. Remove two screw from the behind the access panel to the pump. Then another two screws from the front. Then finally you have to release the door lock mechanism to release the front from the machine. Then you have access to the jubilee clip to clear the pump. And then put it all back on again. Absolute f**king joke. I thought Germans were good at design? Just need an access door from the side panel surely.

    Good video - to show the principle, but several of those things would not be in the filter - the paper would be mush and the dental thing is too big to escape from the drum and find its way to the filter

    • @qwwwizx

    Where is the base plate on your model? When I turn my washing machine upside down I’ve got a base plate. That’s an absolute pig to remove with electric hanging off it and I’ve taken all the screws off all the electrics and it still doesn’t wanna shift?
