This is part 1. We are releasing the other half on Saturday. We visit the places we make videos of and this video had all the locations on campus we had time for.
We filmed 6 videos worth of material in three different states in two days. So we didn't have much time on campus. Plus, there was a home football game and and it was parents weekend! So we had deal with all the traffic and people too. It was a struggle.
The other video will have most of what you mentioned, but will be of more generic shots around campus and pictures, instead of videos of each building.
The new OU video is up. A day later than planned, but we have other cool stuff we have been working on for this coming week.

Cedar Point is pretty haunted, too! Ohio is crazy with paranormal stuff. Love it! I used to work in The Ohio State Reformatory, a very haunted prison museum in Mansfield, Ohio. Would love to see an installment of that.
There was three deaths in one day from two separate incidents and alcohol was involved in both.

Wait, really?? I went to Kings island after visiting family in Kentucky last year. I wish I’d seen something or even known about how haunted Ohio’s locations are bc I love spooky stuff
I went to OU for a weekend before applying to it, there is a strange feeling about Athens & the university, like they’re hiding something dark.
The story about Jefferson Hall is BS. I was there in 96. Never heard about it. The Ridges are very spooky. Lots of strange things have happened on campus over the years. One night, I was sitting in the tv room of my sorority house after midnight. The handles to the closed double doors started turning at the same time. I got up and didn’t see anybody through the crack in the doors. Upon opening the doors, no one was there or anywhere in the other room. That was my own personal experience. The house is on College Street and it happened in the front room of the house (that was original to the structure). On another note, I remember stories of either the Sig Ep or AOII houses being haunted by the ghost of a slave. Those houses had something to do with the Underground Railroad. I think they called him Nicodemus..this is my memory from the late ‘90s.

I lived in Wilson Hall, and nothing. But Athen Apartments? We had TVs and lights turn on, but we also had locks unlock right in front of us.
Lived in the convo for 2 years. Ain’t nobody protecting that giant circle hallway.
The whole freaking town is haunted...it also happens to be in the shape of a pentagram with the towns 5 main cemeteries at the points. Srsly Google THAT

A friend is working at the Athens state mental hospital now and it's definitely haunted ! One of his construction guys was cussing about it's supposed haunting and had something rub his neck a hour later.
The Brown house was supposed to be the most haunted building on campus, but they tore it down in 2019/2020 when I was a freshman

When my dad was a student there, he was supposed to be a sort of maintenance guy for one of the halls (I think Brian or Bryant) during one of the breaks. No students were at the dorm at that time but somehow all the lights in the building got turned on. My dad checks the fuse box and shut them all off again, then got a call from someone that all the lights were still on. This happened a few more times, but eventually he saw that the fuse box was turned off yet all the lights were somehow still on. They say that almost every student that goes there experiences something paranormal, which is why I'm kinda excited to be attending this fall
That is crazy! Has he had any other experiences like that before?
The other experience he told me about was that he was alone in his dorm room and he suddenly heard the shower turn on. He went in there but no one was there and the shower was turned off, but there was still water on the floor, so he didn't just imagine it
I graduated from OU and tbh I think this university is not haunted that seriously. Although I met some strange things before, like weird noise at 3am and missing bowls while I was living in my old apt alone. I was pretty sure that nobody except myself stayed in my apt on that day and I locked my door before sleeping. Maybe it was because I was too bodacious to be haunted so the ghosts wanted to leave me alone lol.
Where was your apartment? What was it like living alone and having the bowls go missing? That sounds really creepy.
The Strangest it was in University Courtyard. All of my roommates went back to their countries during that summer so only me stayed. I checked every corner in the apt including all my roommates rooms but couldn’t find the two stupid bowls I had used before that day. I couldn’t understand why it chose two bowls in the kitchen, no matter it was a ghost or retarded thief.
That would really bother me. I lived alone for a semester and it kind of got to me after living with people every semester until then. That would have fucked with me and made me paranoid.
Went here. OU is amazing and it def gives a spooky vibe, but not in a bad/scary way. Lots of great memories here.

@@PokeOVO sadly no nothing first hand although I heard stories from friends. Went to the Ridges several times too inside (the old insane asylum) and nothing ever happened. Very spooky place, but never felt, heard, or saw anything :/
Were you a believer in the paranormal before you went to school there?
@@TheStrangest Yes lovveeee paranormal things very fascinated/interested in it and believe in it. Wish I had some sort of experience! No doubt its haunted though. Everything is mostly old and original.
@@TheStrangest Friends lived in one of the supposedly haunted dorms our freshmen year and they would complain about the lights going on and off and the tv going on and off. ALSO rumors in that dorm of noises in the hall like moaning or stuff, BUT its college with a huge bar/party scene so that one I could debunk as maybe a drunk college student hah. Our sophisticating year actually I remember now one time the TV was going on/off and being really weird. Of course there could be a logical explanation, but ya never know!
There's haunting stories at the University of Iowa too. It's said that Nile Kinnock still roams the tunnels of the stadium that bears his name.
My friend went to OU.. she said her dorm was haunted, but never elaborated.. if you go there I guess you hear a lot of stories. On the topic of Ohio...do the Mansfield Reformatory!! Probably one of the most haunted places in America. PS: new subscriber :)
You should find out which dorm she stayed in. That's pretty cool. We will look into doing the Mansfield Reformatory, but it might be a while before we make it back to Ohio. There are a few other places I really want to film in Ohio so it is only a matter of time.
This was super spur of the moment. We were filming a lot of videos in one week and realized we were only an hour a way from Ohio University and had some extra time to kill to go and film. Ohio has so many awesome ghost stories and legends.
I went to OU, stayed in Wilson, since I was engineering. I didn’t experience anything there, but my apartment off campus was absolutely haunted. We had the spontaneous lights and such, but the clincher was when my roommate came back one night with his girlfriend. They locked the door and laid down. Suddenly, the door unlocked. She asked him if it was me, if I had a ken. He replied no... I don’t even have a key. Needless to say, they came back uptown and started drinking again.
This is crazy that this is hunted by so many spirits I feel so bad for the people that passed away but it was probably a good school to go to before they knew about the hauntings
I lived in 427 Wilson Hall. Right next door to the haunted room. Today both rooms are closed. Yes, there is an image of a demon in the door. But my neighbors never complained of anything. There was the occasional bat flying around. The rooms were very large but with limited sunlight because of location at the end of the hall. Gloomy all the time. I didnt see flying objects or ghosts but it just had a weird vibe.

That's awesome! You should definitely do some ghost hunting there. There so many stories and haunting around OU and Athens. It is crazy how many ghosts there are in the small area.

I visited ohio university when my grandpa took me around Columbus, I'm also thinking about going to ohio university when I graduate, and I don't really mind right now because I'm 13 and I'm not even done with middle school, and I love creepy things
It's an amazing school. Definitely worth visiting again when you are deciding which college you are going to attend.

@@TheStrangest like i said i was born and raised in Athens, know OH host a summer day camp called kids on campus or k.o.c for short, I've attended the camp every summer since the age of 6, know I've had a few experience but the scariest happened last summer , we were talking a filed trip to the Kennedy museum, we were aloud to Rome around by our selves, anyway i ended up in a small room with some locally made art , since i was alone i leaned up ageist the wall and pulled out my phone, then i felt a large cold hand grab my shoulder roughly, i was the only one in the room. this is just one of many things I've experienced over the years.
