As much as I wanted the series to continue on the universe that the new timeline was building on, I am glad that the timeline concept from MK9 was finally clarified and that a lot of the main heroes who died are redeemed.
Yeah it was world building, everyone thought mk9 was a reboot when it was a sequel, think of it like this: When future trunks went into the past he thought he would create a paradox and rewrite his timeline but he ended up just creating a new one, that’s basically what raiden in the first timeline did And mk11 was basically a game to clarify that mk9, and 10 were sequels not a reboot
@Darth-vade123 Sorry, but I wasn't a fan of mk9s story. It was all Raidens fault in the end. Mk11 is the only Mortal Kombat game that I like. They still don't beat the Injustice games in my opinion
Wow I thoroughly enjoyed this. There is no denying that the plot is the epitome of a royal clusterfuck.... but its surprisingly well executed all things considered. And the voice acting was far better than I would have expected. Thanks for the post!
Also, I'm kinda weirded out by how extreme the contrast is between past Liu Kang's attitude is compared to his appearance in 9 considering his attitude is partly the reason he died when Raiden accidently killed him.
It's kind of weird how after Hanzo dies, the old scorpion goes to the temple in Hanzo's place, meeting up with Lui Kang, Sub-Zero, and Raiden, yet none of them asked HOW did Hanzo die and/ or by whom.

Tbh, Johnny Cage was my favorite character in the series though for the life of me I have NO CLUE why outside he was fun to play as and I kinda liked his hamminess. It was a bit much in MK9, but he really did mellow out by x and he really surprised me with how much he stole the show by kicking Shinnok's ass the first go around saving the world and all. I'm not at all surprised that his daughter is so popular seeing as she really does have the best of both worlds lineage wise, though I'm very happy she takes more after her father while inheriting her mom's gorgeous good looks, and i'm not really into blondes overall.
They could have a done a better job of at least trying to make the characters resemble their appearances from the last game. Everyone looks completely different. I'll admit they look better for the most part, but I'm a stickler for consistency.

He needed to launch a virus, and then destroy the terminal so that it becomes inaccessible. Otherwise, anybody could just come back and un-jam the signal. What he did is essentially virtually unplug internet connection, and then smashed controls so that nobody else could change the setting he set.
Are you not able to do any special or finishing moves in story mode? Of all the story/walkthrough/movies posted on UA-cam they either skip the fight entirely or finish with like a punch or kick.... it would be more cinematic to show finishers at least???

He is strong, but he is reliant on being a brute. There are characters that are simply more proficient at that. Likewise, he lost to his crush/wife/partner because he did not want to hurt her for real, and would gladly accept being knocked out accidentally over losing her again. Which is pretty romantic, given that he lived in a timeline for so many years where she was no longer herself/alive.
