Fall Out Boy, Paramore, Sleep Token for SURE for rock going forward!! Fall Out Boy’s classic is “From Under The Cork Tree” and you can’t go wrong with the two albums after. Paramore are great from “Riot!” forward, and ST only have 3 albums and they’re a trilogy so def worth checking out!! Cheers and good luck, going into 2025🫂🫂👊
With danger days u think you definitely need to listen to it a few more times, a lot of the songs I feel stick better once you play them a few times. It wasn’t really trying to be more mainstream like you said but what Gerard has said is that the other albums were so dark he kinda just needed a break from the dark themes and things like that. Also with danger days if you listen to the lyrics and anyalize them they still do have some of the same themes as there earlier albums. I think you should for sure listen to it again and really listen to what there saying in it!
if you're looking to react to live performances you should definitely check out some of their newer performances (2022/23) as well as their older ones (2007 was a great live year for them imo) because it's so interesting to see how they've evolved and matured over their career!!
Awesome list! Honestly my album ranking is the same. I highly recommend reacting to their music videos. They had AMAZING music videos, Ghost of You is probably my favorite video of theirs.
first 5k brother thats what I like to hear!!! that feeling of listening to emotional rock while running hits so different. I just ran my first marathon in July and this is exactly how I feel with Linkin Park lmao
Im gonna say seeing danger days as dead last killed me a little bit lmao. That album did a lot for me, especially the song s/c/a/r/e/c/r/o/w/. If i HAD to rank my top 17 my chem songs itd have to be: 17. Foundations of Decay: truly a banger and kind of a sleeper for me 16. Bulletproof heart: nothing feels as good as screaming GRAVITY in your car on a roadtrip 15. Sleep. Not my favourite off if black parade but sometimes i NEED this song 14. Planetary GO. That song is a DANCING song i also love the way the beat is so punchy in the chrous (this also shares a spot eith the doctor death defy intro because i never ever skip it if its on) 13. You know what they do to guys like us in prison. Second ever mcr song i heard and it for sure freaked me out at first but im actually obsessed with it. 12. House of wolves/Mama: these songs occupy the same cynical and angry space in my mind. Both songs i listen to when im in a Mood. 11. Party Poison. Again just such a good song to listen to when ur mad. I live for this album especially because of its hopeful tone and its incrtivising sound. It makes me want to truly change the world. 10. Nananana. This is a song that i listen to on my way to protests, sit ins, and town halls. This song is my "punch a n*zi" song 9. Im not okay. I dont think you understand the grip this song had on me as a moody middle schooler. I truly was out in this mfer singing these lyrics like i got a single problem worth this much agony lmao. 8. The sharpest Lives. This song is a lyrical marvel and truly the most workout song ever. Love the weird squealing/moaning sounds in there, very gerard. 7. Disenchanted. Okay but were you emo if you didnt cry to disenchanted? The lyrics of this song actually shoved me out of my depression because i truly heard the lyric "about a life long wait for a hospital stay" and went "might as well DO something for myself while i wait" 6. I dont love you. Man....yeah theres no words. I think this is just an objectively good song 5. The end/dead. I think this is the best intro to an album ever. Like are you kidding me? I need a mcr jukebox musical or a rock opera because i just need to see this intro in its full glory. 4. Cancer. This is the first song i ever cried to. Thats all. 3. The ghost of you. Yeahh this song actually may have had me crying dripping in the rain like i was in a michael jackson music video 2. Save Yourself, Ill Hold Them Back. This song is a sleeper for me. I ignored it at first wnd then it hit me like a metal bat one day and now im genuinely just obsessed with it. 1. SCARECROW. this song reminds me of my dad, its lik3 a symbol of all the sacrifices he made to get me to this point in my life. The song is about a dad telling his children to hide from a nuclear fallout and how he'll protect them but in terms kids will understand. Gerard wrote it aboit his own kid. That song will forever hold a place in ny heart
Scarecrow is definitely my fave on Danger Days. It's such a beautiful song and when I finally got to sit down and really pay attention to the lyrics, I definitely cried when I realized what it was about.
Your ranking I totally agree with, danger days is also one of my favs and I was shocked that it got last. So many songs on that album are absolutely incredible
🔥🔥🔥 video!!! Here’s my list: 1. Three Cheers (10/10) 2. The Black Parade (10/10) Then the other 2 are kinda mid like 4/10 fr lol Song ranking: 1. Helena 2. The Ghost of You 3. Welcome to the black parade 4. This is how i disappear 5. Thank You for the Venom 6. Give em Hell 7. Mama 8. I’m not Okay 9. Sleep 10. I don’t love you
1)Three cheers 2)Danger days/black parade (there tied) 3)bullets 1)Boy Division 2)skylines and turnstiles 3)cemetery drive 4)kill all your friends 5)Sleep 6)Destroya 7)summer time 8)the jest set life 9)demolition lovers 10)sing
heyy idk if you're going to read this but i really enjoyed your Dangerous Woman album reaction and maybe you could check the album Right Place, Wrong Person by RM? i think you'll enjoy it, but you'll need some english translations maybe from genie (idk if the spotify for computer has the option to translate the lyrics)... i really like this album, the alternative + rap and the top tier production is chef's kiss
Here's mine! Albums (favorite to least): The Black Parade Danger Days Three Cheers Conventional Weapons Bullets My top five songs: Disenchanted Welcome to the Black Parade The Foundations of Decay Helena Surrender the Night :)
Wow 15k subs already !! I'm so proud of you for starting this journey Jakar. Glad you liked MCR ! Saw them again two weeks ago in Vegas for the When We Were Young emo festival and they played The Black Parade in its entirety + 2 songs from Three Cheers 💙
Thank you for your My Chemical Romance videos! You should listen to their most recent song released in 2022, "The Foundations of Decay", it's a new anthem basically. I think you'll love it. I disagree with people who say My Chem is emo, yes "emo" stands for emotional...but emo bands tend to be "downers" with a sense of hopelessness about life and death. Gerard outright denied that My Chem is emo, because his music is designed to uplift people; it's a retaliation against the things in life that aim to bring us down, including death itself. The albums "Bullets" and "Three Cheers" (albums that reflect how they wish to sound) are very similar to punk rock, not emo. And it's a sound they returned to with "The Foundations of Decay". There's a band you may really like, I would start with just one song: "Dead Man's Party" by Oingo Boingo. The singer/band leader, Danny Elfman, is now a famous movie composer, and sang the songs for Jack Skellington in The Nightmare Before Christmas, so his voice may sound familiar. Oingo Boingo has some awesome music!
My fav have to be 1.Dead 2.Early sunsets over monroeville 3.The world is ugly (btw could i request you to give a reaction to mindless self indulgences If please?)
Love the vids bro. Just wondering if you'd be willing to check out "Comedown Machine" by The Strokes. It's a very experimental but beautiful album and I think that you'd love it. Keep up the great work.
Ayee I appreciate you bro!! Yea I will I have that & Angels left and I’m done but it might be Patreon exclusive bro because I have a lot of albums to edit!!
you should give pierce the veil a listen!!! maybe start with collide with the sky? i love tcfsr too! my ranking of their albums would probably be: 1. tcfsr 2. bullets 3. the black parade 4. danger days but honestly danger days and tbp are tied for me. hope u manage to get mcr tickets and see them live, i feel like that’d be sick loved hearing ur thoughts on their overall discography!
Oh man I am so bad at ranking things all the time but especially with MCR because I've loved them for so long and they're so good. But here's what I think is my top 4. 1. To The End 2. Early Sunsets Over Monroeville 3. Cemetery Drive 4. Sleep I had to include Sleep in there because over the past couple years it has just grown on my so much. I think it's criminally under rated.
