Thanks for the video! It is the best channel for learning advanced pvp or even basic pvp.I used to battle before also but i always loose mirror like giratina and swampert one because i always used give a extra move and opponents sometimes uses these mechanics and I have understood it now. After watching your series i barely loose any mirror or any even other match where my opponent tries to use the advanced mechanics to win Thanks so much @wallower for this series.I just love it 😍👍👍
Thanks for the video! Really informative and well explained as always :) I reached the rank9 recently also largely thanks to your content and with a good 60% winrate, or atleast i imagined it was good, but i was surprised to be put in the low close to 2k rating and now im supposed to climb fighting with a much greater than usual range of people and skill in the same rank 9 for like 800 points and it seems quite hard. What do you think of this new sistem as a regular top leaderboard player?
Congrats on rank 9!! It has its ups and downs, it's nice for the more casual players because there's less pressure and becauae no matter the skill level you have spmething to work towards. I do like being able to see my rating much earlier though so I can actually tell which teams are working and which aren't. I do think getting more casual players involved is more important though so ultimately it is a good change
hey ive a doubt. what if i want more energy advantage in my safe swap mon to flip switch ? in that case is it better to switch right away ? or throwing a fast move with leadmon and then switching is the same ?
Depends on their turn length and your turn length. People usually react in just over two turns I've found. So if they have a 4 turn move and you have a 3 you could throw a move and then swap and likely get 5 turns of adv on your swap
thanks for this video, it'll help me a lot ithink, but it's hard for me to implement the tactic to avoid super effectiv fast move damage :D I need to learn which moves need 1,2,3 or 4 turns
Hey thanks for the tips! You’re videos are incredibly helpful for the climb. I had a question about your previous ML premier team: should I just use a regular Gardevoir as opposed to a shadow since we haven’t gotten a Takeover event yet?
I would use a 1 move shadow gardevoir over a regular gardevoir i think. Shadow ball covers everything but snorlax and it's unlikely you get to a charge move vs lax anyways
@@YanomaXXII hopefully the meta doesn't shift too much more. At the end of last season a lot of double steel teams were coming out of the woodwork which are nearly unwinnable 😔 hopefully we see a double fighting or double ground team come out of the woodwork as a response!
I'm looking into it right now, I think deferring the fast move damage after a charge move still works but I think the counts of the last part of the video have slightly changed. Like I've seen two DBs go through and a switch and no charm damage was taken
In the scenario of a lead loss, bullet seed Sceptile against fire spin A-Marowak, both being 3 turn fast moves, do you advise that you switch instantly as a Sceptile, in order to avoid the fire spin damage, or do you throw a bullet seed then swap?
That is up to the user. If you think your sceptile will need that energy later more than it needs the HP i would. I usually throw a razor leaf or two on my vic before switching vs awak because I think not wasting those initial turns is better for my game and vic's hp isn't too too important. There are some top players who would advise you to switch instantly so I would say maybe try both and see what seems to be working better for your pokemon
That's not a thing anymore, right? Nowadays when you throw a Charge Move the Fast move goes through while you throw you faint and cannot swap into something else anymore. I may be wrong here. Say my Venusaur vs Talonflame does 1 Vine Whip then a Sludge Bomb in the first 3 turns of an Incinerate. When I instantly switch after that Charge Move, the damage of that Incinerate is applied to the mon I swapped in?
I finally found a lickatung in the wild an hr ago lol. Its a 2 11 13 evolved 1480. Its gonna be 66 000 plus 50 000 for move and elite tm. But i think its so worth it i wanted this in my arsenal since raid day lol
Hi! I wanted to say, that thanks to your videos I am a better player overall :) Even when I lose, now I know why, and because of that I am less flustrated with it and because of this I am also more consisten with my play and now I have rating about 2830 so tommorow I will be in about top 200! (nick - misiakisia). I hope I will reach rank 10 for the first time. So thanks a lot!
This video is still very RELEVANT!!!
i've never clicked on a pvp video so fast, I learn so much from these :)
For real I like this series
I'm glad you're enjoying these!!

The switch menu is really clunky. Why not just have buttons on the left and right, one for each pokemon?
This would solve so many problems having to click twice to switch is so slow
I completely agree! I’ve said this from the beginning - it seems like such an obvious way of switching rather than having to open a switch tray first.
I guess niantic were looking at this one ☝️
Very nice video.

Yup that's just a matter of practice then!

Wonder how these mechanics change with the update... hopefully can still be used and simply saves us having to double tap to swap

you still use this since they switch how you switch
Yup! It still works with the new switch menu as long as you don't lag

Holy cow that is a very high rating right now, glad I could help!!
Great video .This is wrong on so many levels, charge moves should have priority on everything else. 1t fast moves are absolutely broken.
2:30 lol
