Your dots are so versatile. You’ve made a beautiful journal cover with them. I love the paper/cloth signatures…..love how they look from the sides. 💖💖💖
I have just spent a most marvelous day watching your videos. My head is whirling with so many ideas. Thank you so much for sharing your creativity. I love your wonderful dots. Very inspiring. Jx ❤
Haven’t made any dots yet, but it’s on my list. I have been doing the K3N weekly project. Just found your videos videos about three or four weeks ago and I’m having fun going back and looking at some older ones i’m 63 and just retired at the end of February and having a great time getting caught up in quilting and stitching and pretty much whatever I wanna do. I am so grateful I’m getting this time to find other creative people and to learn so many new things. Thank you thank you!
Congratulations on your retirement! Life will get REAL fun now that you have no clock to watch and plenty of time for things you always wanted to do. ( 71yo)
I just found you. I’ve watched the dots videos back to back and love this idea. I wanted to have a small portable project and this is just such a beautiful thing. They look so organic and fun. I also found I enjoy appliqué, and already love making books so this is the perfect project. Thank you so much. ☺️ xx
Just LOVE your book! Also am in love with your eco printed fabrics. It would be so great if you sold pieces of this amazong fabric in your online shop! I've been watching your videos for about a month - I usually binge on them. Absolutely hooked on the DOTS! So far I have completed 29 dots & will be posting a pic of them for the group. Loving being a member of ACAG where everyone shares their creativity. Thank you for starting the group and for your seemingly endless supply of wonderful projects. You are always an inspiration! 🤗
YES! The last book I made was all cloth inside and it really did flop a lot! I love the paper/cloth ratio, so much better! Flop, crisp, flop, crisp... LOL 💜💜💜

The IDEA of a book has the wheels turning!! I am still unsure what eco-cloth is but I always love it when you refer to it in many videos. I am getting 6 dots in final form to do your latest request for a picture and email with information. THEN the dots awaiting various parts of their assembly can be saved up for a book and a rice bag. You have referred to having 300+ dots of your own....I guess we are in for a wild dot-ride of inspiration. Happy to be supplied with a front seat via you tube...which gives everyone a front seats also...as always thank you thank you. And the blah blah informs and gives my mind a space to process the directions you are giving [if that makes sense]. Also thanks and thanks that you don't take down older videos....there's alway kwandi if dots are done LOL.
I won't be taking down my older videos, but I will be cleaning them up and reposting some of them. Eco printing is using leaves and things in nature that have a natural dye, to print on to cloth and paper. I'm glad to hear you will be submitting something for my gallery! And I thought of a new Dot project last night, will air next friday! You guys will likely get sick of it way before me! 💜💜💜
Your book is beautiful and I’m sure you will have loads of fun filling it!! I’d love to see what you add to it. I’ve been watching Kathryn’s weekly videos and enjoying them so much as well!
Hi Jeri! I’ve paused the video to say… another way to get your cardboard spine right in the middle is to find the middle of both pieces (top and bottom of your cardboard and lining), mark them with a pen / pins, and then match the marks. Also, I’ve learned the hard way that if you don’t spread FabriTac (or other glue) into a very thin layer, it will seep through the fabric. I usually use my finger to spread it, and I never have a problem with glue seeping any more.
No kidding? I did try putting some on a piece of scrap cloth and it went right through, so you are saying maybe I put it on too thick? I'll try again. Thanks! 💜

Really loved this simple method of making a journal cover especially using an old book as the rest for the signature while you poked the holes. Brilliant!
