I need the Mavs to win Game 3..... Can't have the Celtics have 1 more than the Lakers. Uuuugh....
Celtics in 4 babyyy.

Kyrie is being outplayed badly by 2024 Olympian Jrue Holiday
@@Intr0verticalsure buddy sure
I'd like to say a few more games being played make it interesting Jonny!
A 10 point lead felt like a 25 point lead for Boston and now a 2-0 series lead feels like a sweep
There’s just too many droughts on Dallas’ side. Without Kyrie playing well, you get a basket or two from Luka, then might 4 or 5 trips without another basket and when they score again Boston is now 6-8 points further ahead and you have to start over.
Hoping home court will cause the role players to shoot like they did in the conference finals when they went off for two games in a row. I’m not worried about a game lead, I’m just worried without somebody stepping up and playing like a man, I’m gonna have to listen to Boston fans brag about how great the Celtics are for months on end.
And now it’s 3/0
Nah the title killed me 🤣😭 sorry bro, we know where this series is going to end
Kyrie is playing like he only wants a ring from Cleveland
@@lunacy5510 No. The Celtics obviously want it more. Lol
@@onnaquestBoth can be true
@@youllneverknowgarcia552 he's saying the same thing basically but trying to make it a debate lol. People really think I believe Kyrie only wants one ring? Yikes

The celtics winning the series is nothing to be surprised about. It's the hate from other fan bases and media that really drove the maverick's narrative of winning.
Nothing was based on matchups & playing style.
Yeah. It's all been just wishful thinking. Not a team out there that could beat the Celtics this year except maybe the nuggets but I think we could do the same to them too. Take every other player out of the game with our defense and make jokic do it all by himself
Facts. I hate Boston but I knew going in that Dallas just doesn't have enough to beat the Celtics.
Credit Dallas for getting this far, but yeah, there is some narrative involved here.
@@fcdrawFacts i despise Boston and they gonna win
lol we’ll see
Dallas has better composure than Boston
And more to prove
That is why I say Mavs in 7
This is basically the same squad who went to the finals against the Warriors in 2022 but they then added Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis. If you can use Jayson Tatum and KP as glorified role players then that is an OP roster.
This green squad looks like the Warriors team they lost the finals to.
Almost everything you said is wrong lmao
@@harveylin3548id say closer to the height of the Spurs dynasty more than that warriors team. Less top end talent than the warriors for sure at least
Im a mavericks fan, watching Kyrie just vanish in this series is so depressing
Cavalier, celtic, and nets fans have seen this movie before. There is a reason Kyrie didn't have many offers last year
@@vicepresidentmikepence889 the sad part is I genuinely believe if Kyrie was playing like Kyrie we could be up 2-0 or at least be 1-1. These Celtics have never been fantastic in late game close out situations, but Kyrie has been so ass so far that we can't keep it close at all.
Celtics gonna be ahead in the Banner race again 😂. They're too much for any team in this league no matter if it's east or west. And yes there's the defense which is what people miss about this team. They always look at the offense and the 3 pointers but it's their defense that wins them games even when the 3 isn't falling.
@@Drakoth01Do you not understand what the Celtics game plan is? They’re literrally letting Luka get his stat and shutting down the rest of the team.
it is but celtics are better
This is exactly why I warned people not to be so quick to anoint Luka and Kyrie as the best backcourt of all-time.
Since 2020 people lost all ability to think for themselves. Hype guides the masses.
I feel like its Ai too
I don't think that they are the best back court of all time. I think that it's their brand of basketball that will be their demise. It's 2 ISO scorers on the same team. Neither one of them can do anything other than spot up without the ball in their hands. That's always been the problem with ISO ball. It's fun to watch. It makes people think that the player who is torching people is the greatest thing to ever happen. But it turns the other 4 guys into role players. Kyrie is the most over qualified role player in NBA history in the NBA finals. All that being said, when it comes to just flat out talent in that backcourt. They could be, based on talent, the best backcourt of all time. Just not the kind of greatness that they need. I'd take prime Steph and Klay over them. Both of them could score with and without the ball in their hands and one of them is a great defender.
@Davivd2 I have Steph and Klay 2nd behind Zeke and Joe D. Both of them have a Finals MVP which shows they can both take over on the biggest stage.
@@Livinlegend26 Not a bad choice. And both of them are still valuable without the ball in their hands. Whereas Kyrie and Luka render each other useless when the other one has the ball.
I think this series is over. Boston is deeper and just better overall. When I picked the Mavericks to win, it was on the basis of Boston’s weaknesses coming to light. But as of this moment, Boston has silenced many of their past criticisms and put many of their weaknesses to bed. We’ll see how they fair in Dallas but I think this is it. Unless Dallas changes things up and players step up, Boston has this. Let’s see.
Not to gloat to hard, but as a Celtics fan who was 6 years old in 08 and doesn’t even remember that title, who’s first NBA memory was watching them lose in game 7 to the lakers in 2010, it feels pretty freakin good knowing this is the best team either franchise has had in the last 14 years. This team would beat the 2020 lakers, Celtics are that good.
It’s weird all you kids on the internet now😂 that 08 team was legendary
Damn you a baby 🤣🤣🤣
KG, Paul, & Ray was 1 for the ages man
Crazy cuz I was in hs watching tht game w my then girlfriend on the couch as a laker fan I invited over for game 6 let's just say we didn't last long after that 😂
Waiting for that sweet Jerry West video I was hoping for. R.I.P Jerry West.😢
I'm crying fam, worst part is how people will only appreciate his greatness now that he's gone
People fail to realize this is not the same Celtics team from before. They shot horrible from 3 with Tatum basically nonexistent again, and they still won the game. Their defense has really been the glue to this team's success.
Edit after 6 hours: maybe saying Tatum was nonexistent was a stretch but he certainly underperformed shooting wise, I apologize.
Also, while Tatum couldn’t get his offense going, he was doing everything else to contribute. Dude almost triple doubled.
Tatum orchestrated the offense while being doubled or triple teamed. Shots weren't falling but he made sure his teammates did.
@@ZhykastHow was Tatum’s defense in these first two games?
Nonexistent? BWAAAHAHAHAHA. Tatum gets double and triple teamed. THAT is why everyone else is scoring at will. He STEALS he BLOCKS and he assists. He Understands the Role. (Apparently you don’t) This is a TEAM sport.
Tatum did good on everything else except scoring he did good defensively also mavs shot worse from three
Y'll have to hush about Tatum.
He knows he hasn't been hitting them, but he's been productive in other areas, which has indeed helped Boston have a superstar every other game.
Right, If brown is the best player on the Celtics why is Tatum getting all of the Mavericks attention on defense. Tatum is a complete player unlike Kyrie. Kyrie can't score he offers nothing else. Bad defensive play no assists no nothing.
Tatum is playing D gabbing rebounds and breaking down Mavericks defense and dishing to teammates when his shot isn't falling.
The thing that bothers me the most is if Tatum had 38/10/12 and they lost and went down 0-2 people would be doing EXACTLY what they're doing now. At the end of the day the only thing these players care about is winning the championship.
Not to mention that if Tatum had been more efficient with his scoring, the Celtics would have won both games by at least 20 points.
Always down to watch Jonny💪🏿
Brad Stevens should win the finals mvp

The "revenge series" narrative is hilariously ignorant. No one did anything toi kyrie, Hes the one who lied, hes the one who switched up on a fan base, hes the one who talked shit about his young teammates. No one did anything to kyrie hes just crying. Him against the celtics is a real life example of karma.
People don’t realize that this is the reason the Celtics fans live rent free in Kyrie’s head.
Kyrie knows in his heart he did them dirty.
Not only that but then he steps on Lucky and then accuses the Boston fan base of being “racists” and then ignorantly says: “I’m not the only one who can attest to this”. Yea, Kyrie I’m sure Bill Russell could attest to this….but in 1965. Implying he dealt with “racism” in Boston in 2018 is beyond absurd and a cheap shot directed at a city whose black and white inhabitants were deliberately pitted against one another when they were divided along racial lines by unnecessary desegregation policies as if Boston was Mississippi during Jim Crowe; causing great resentment between the 2 communities.
@@damiandarc8643 You see, this is the true point here. It is easy to live when you are the victim of the situation, but when you that you were wrong, it's harder.

Don't worry, as a Boston fan its hard to watch the Lakers win too
I had celtics in 5 pre finals but i mean if they go up 3-0 it's a sweep
I have never seen anyone guard Kyrie the way I have seen Brown did last night. As a sports fan who’s favorite part of it is defense I enjoyed watching it even though Kyrie is probably my favorite player to watch on offense.
I'm a Lakers fan, but the way media and fans were disrespecting the Celtics before this series started was crazy. "It was a cakewalk for them", "they didn't face any real teams yet" which is a crazy statement to say since these are playoffs teams we're talking about. Give the Celtics their flowers. Best record in the NBA, Jaylen Brown being the most underrated player in the NBA, and they are clamping up Kyrie, something the best defensive team in the NBA couldn't do (Wolves). If the Celtics can steal one game on the Mavs' homecourt, it's a wrap.

5:00 As a Celtics fan, Kyrie is exactly the Kyrie that I remember
I am a Celtics fan so I’m happy enough. I would have rooted for the Nuggets if things had worked out that way.
Same.
How many times during the year did we hear “Defence doesn’t matter anymore”?
I understand why everyone wants the mavericks to win, but I don’t understand how any logical NBA fan could look at these two rosters and choose the Dallas mavericks.
For real. The fact they can have Tingus Pingus come off the bench right now and score an easy 25 is insane. Plus he’s 7’3, that in itself is above average defense
Celtics are not a very well liked franchise with a racist fanbase why did you think y'all would get support lol
Celtics have one of the most hostile fanbases in the league and brag about jurassic championships they got with teams starting 5 hofers in a league with 7 other teams. Yeah people are gonna root for the underdog against them, idk why you're acting surprised.
@@ItsMeStrider you misunderstand. The Celtics roster is just waaaaaay more complete than the mavericks. I know exactly why people don’t want the Celtics to win, but any good NBA analyst should be able to look at the two rosters and realize how outmatched the Mavs are.
@@jasonsandhu3760 What does the fanbase has to do with this ?
When they traded for jrue holiday, I wanted the Knick’s to trade for him last summer, I knew they d win the chip, he s the ultimate glue guy, what an underrated pick up he was, and got em for basically nothing, damn you knicks!
Yeah this was interesting to say the least. Just wondering if the Mavericks can do anything at this point or what moves could they make in the offseason. Is there any team that can stop the Celtics next season?
Not really.
What assests can Dallas move for depth?
@@thuglifeinc4894 that’s what I was wondering
The Celtics will have to prove themselves all over again next season, just as I said Denver would have after they won the 'chip. They may be more talented than Denver is, but there are other teams that are close to their level, and any such team doing one smart move could be the difference. I don't see the Celtics as a clear cut team to be a dynasty, it's still more of a league of parity right now.
Healthy Bucks team can... Remember, they split the season series between them but the Bucks 2 wins was both BLOWOUT wins and the Celtics wins are closer... It just a matter of whether Dame and Giannis sustain their health and develop their chemistry more
@@alexiscando2068 Not sure about the Bucks. Sure, they can as much as any of the top teams, but if you had to pick I doubt anyone with a reasonable knowledge would pick the Bucks over Boston. One thing is the regular season. If there is anything the Bucks have to prove, specially if they are healthy, is if they will play a playoff defense worth a team winning a series against other top teams. Seeing what we saw from the Bucks in the regular season, it was very unlikely they would outplay the top teams defensively, so I wouldn't pick them to win a series against Boston under such disadvantage. It's also a thing to prove, or more like to doubt, if the Giannis- Dame combo offense has enough chemistry as to outplay other top teams in the playoffs.
My coach always used to tell me that a great defender can tell when the opponent is scared.
Kyrie irving pisses himself everytime he has the ball and jrue holiday has taken full advantage of that.
The broom is coming out Friday night
@jonnyarnett I know this is off topic but would love to hear your take on a hypothetical. If Spurs draft Zach Edey and move Wemby to the 4 do you think that would be a good or bad move?
Celtics have had 1 more then the lakers for like 30 years before the lakers tied with the bubble ring
The fact that you can’t identify the MVP for Boston shows how absolutely stacked that team is! Everyone is a star or superstar, bench is so solid! I wish it was Nuggets vs Celtics…. Would have been better to watch!
Luka in the 4th quarter was gassed out, you can see this especially on transition where he didn’t want to move up the court at all and nearly cost me a bet for 32 points.
Tatum might be bad as a scorer this finals but he’s facilitated for the team well, getting boards and has been playing defence.
Porzingus has been a 2 way menace and probably the best on the team had he gotten more minutes, the problem is he usually gets benched in the 4th quarter a lot and it’s finished he’s just come out of injury.
It’s also really tiring when you’re working for every possession and Celtics were dogs in defence.
When you start the video with Well...Crap, makes you think about those DFish, Lamar Odom and Sasha Vujacic Lakers...
I need Jayson Tatum to step up for games 3 and 4 lol him winning finals mvp would piss so many people off
He won't 😂😂😂Jalen Brown or Holiday would win
those people are going to have votes for finals mvp
He'll step it up on the road. He's weird at home sometimes
Boston’s depth is insane. Can’t determine fmvp yet, but at this point I’d give it to JB.
Jrue is the true mvp
@@LAC32Griffin Jrue replacing Smart has been huge. I was worried that they traded the heart of their team but damn Jrue is so consistent on defense.
JB does all of that beucse Tatum is double all the time, come does any wanna even watch games ffs
Nah. D White has the most impact. Offensively and defensively.
The people who thought that which ever team won the west would beat Boston are looking like they either just don't like Boston or they're stupid
Boston is shit
To be fair it was never whichever team, but they did have to face teams like Denver or Minnesota to see how good they are. Even the clippers would've been a way tougher matchup. I still predicted the Celtics to win it all, but it was more of a toss up against Denver or Minnesota.
Honestly, the Nuggets are literally the only team in the West that could beat Boston but because aside from Murray and Jokic, the other Nuggets players decided to just vanished in game 7 leaving Jokic and Murray VS the entire Wolves team...
In order for the Mavs to win, they need to match the intensity of the Celtics defense in order to win but knowing they have lots of defensive holes, its impossible to pull up
Tatum didnt have a bad game, he had a bad night shooting. He was the playmaker for Boston in game 2. Every time he got in the paint they doubled him and he was able to make the right read a lot of times it was to Jrue. Two years ago Jason would have forced up bad shots or created a turnover, but this guy found the open man and made some really nice passes too. He was still a board away from a triple-double which also tells me that despite knowing he wasn't shooting well it didn't affect the other parts of his game. I have seen this break a lot of players mentally to the point that when they don't have the ball they stand around doing nothing.
Luka almost have a quadruple double with his 8 turnovers. He’s also a cone on defense where every player on the Celtics constantly blow by him for layups
I’m old enough to remember when Larry Bird had 2 8 point games and shot 40% in the Finals, yet he led the team in rebounds and assists and they won the title.
If your shot isn’t dropping, you do something else to facilitate winning. Tatum is doing that, and at some point you figure his shot will drop.
You can easily attribute Irving's bad play to the defense he's facing. What will help him is getting away of too much iso ball and start rotating it around quite a bit more. By playing to much iso role players could end up being not so much the role players needed.
Boston is playing more as a team and being less concerned about any single player. Team ball usually wins.
Maverick fans are mad but disregarded the simple fact that the Celtics play defense and are the team with keys to take on an offensive juggernaut like the Mavericks.
Dude, you said it right, "just too deep"
Feels like watching Lebron or Harden versus the Warriors.
I forget his name but a person at the end of the game on the panel said the FMVP is Brad Stevens and honestly I don’t disagree.
I hate celtics. I hate lakers... Jony. I'm magic fanatic supporter...i love your input on your channel... You love this game. And you(your channel) are stellar wisdom and mine of knowledge about this sport. Thank you.
I'm hoping at least for a more competitive next few games
kyrie told boston he was giving boston a ring and he is doing so
I don't ever want to hear someone say Kyrie is better than Iverson....them handles aint dropping no one nor can he get past the switch
My one question there:
How are Iverson and Irving as passers and defenders? Both could score very well obviously.
There are also two things to consider:
For most of Iverson’s prime, hand checking was allowed.
Also, for the most part Kyrie hasn’t been described as the best player and primary offensive focal point of his team, unlike AI in Philly.
@fortynights1513 Iverson is definitely a better passer and defender. Causing Turnovers is the best defense you can't have. A team can't rebound a Turnover making a steal more important than contesting a shot. Kyrie just started passing the ball cause he just came from the Nets trying to be a SG
Tatums offense awakens in game 3?
Why doesn’t anyone mention Luka having 3 points in the 4th quarter?
I was thinkn the same thing they only bashing 1 guy wen its was a team effort 2 lose 😂. But its cuz erry 1 to busy bein on his nuts😂
Boston is too deep and too experienced. Adding Portzingis and Holiday has paid off massively for them.
Boston always plays best in game 3 I'm not saying it's a sweep but I GUARANTEE 100 it's already 3 0 the series is over Boston is your 2024 champions
The pressure was too much
Not a fan of either team, but, Dallas needs to win game 3 according to history stats. For me the story of Luka and Kyrie needs a great ending while the Celtics winning will be (with no disrespect to talent) just another championship.
This might be a sweep for Boston then all that was this easy for Boston getting to the finals would be over. I really do think Luka might have to drop 45 to 50 for Dallas to win a game.
The sage Kyrie used all those years ago is working now!
Sometimes you gotta go through the experience of losing. The Celtics look like the team thats been here before the Mavs look like the team thats just happy to be in the finals
DEFENSE
Mavs problem is--if Luka has a bad game, the team will lose, effectively becoming a single point of failure. Celtics can have two of their starters have off nights, and still have at least 4 other options who can be relied upon to step up and cover down to salvage the win. Sort of reminds me of Lebron's playoff runs--he could never rely on his teammates to play well if he ever had an off night. Seems like the NBA is moving in the direction of style the Celtics are playing where players play unselfish ball and teams are not reliant on one star to play well to win.
As a bucks fan if Jrue wins Finals MVP I would both love that for him and also cry myself to sleep
Cant understand why nobody talking about Jrue Holiday as the FMVP so far. Hes locking down kyrie and he was arguably the best player on the court in game 2. Everybody saying kyrie sucks atm and Luka has no help but why cant it be that Boston is doing this by design and Jrue is playing that role to a tee
Kyrie struggling is more on Jason kidd than Kyrie. Get the switch on porzingus or horford but noooo instead they have been pnr on derrick white and jrue holiday THE BEST DEFENSIVE BACKCOURT IN THE LEAGUE
This is why Steph Curry is so good and probably top 10 ever
Curry averaged 32 in the finals on incredible efficiency against them and you can say that they now got Holiday and Porzingis but back then they had Smart who was DPOY and Williams who is better rim protector than Porzingis and Kyrie who is considered the most skilled player ever is in absolute lockdown
Idk about this assessment. Marcus Smart should not have won DPOY. Jrue Holiday is just as good of a defender (arguably better) and easily a much better all around player.
@@squanchy2925 Smart deserved that DPOY and Boston was a better defensive team in 2022 than now the difference is that they are much more better offensively while not losing that much on defense
@@chanendlerbong No, he definitely did not deserve that DPOY. He was like 10th in defensive rating, 6th in Defensive Box Plus Minus, and 6th in steals. 2/3’s of all the voters didn’t actually put him in 1st but because the vote was so split, he managed to barely win even though Mikal Bridges was the much better defender. Even Gobert had a better season. There’s really nothing statistically or analytically to support Smart winning DPOY. It was a fluke.
The biggest drop off defensively for the Celtics was trading Williams for Porzingis. Losing Smart did not impact their defense whatsoever because Jrue is easily as good defensively.
Some half court set on offense for the Cs were reminiscent of spurs 2014
Almost there, stay on target, get ready Gold Leader, stay on target, almost there....
You guys really thought it was Mavs in 5 lmao
Honestly that play you showed to me wasn’t even the pressure on Luka but just the complete mental blunder of PJ pretty much just forgetting about the 8 second rule and throwing into the backcourt while he’s nearly already passed half he could of easily just dropped it off to Gafford u can see in the clip
With the way little Luka gave up the ball, he almost had a quadruple double. Just 2 to's shy. Lmao, but he is a stud.
Now even more sick oof
I think the Celtics got this, but I believe the Mavs has at least one game in them. Lol, how you captioned this video!
Boston is 6-0 in away playoff games this year. Jrue Holiday is a player that is incredible in the moment of a big game. If Celtics win game 3 it`s over
Wait…. people think Kyrie Irving is the most skilled B-ball player ever? KYRIE?? Have they never heard of Michael Jordan? Larry Bird? Wilt Chamberlin? Magic Johnson? Bill Russell?
Kyrie is Dr. J level great, but there are other players a lot better.
And he’s proving that in the playoffs. The greatest players rise to the occasion. Kyrie is struggling.
“Wilt” “MJ” “Bill”
Do you know what most skilled means? Lol
@@aestheticphilosopher Yep. Sure do.
“They haven’t versed anyone.”
Yep, and they still haven’t.
Series don't start till a team lose at home so game 3 is the big onr
I'm the rare case of both a Kyrie and a Celtics fan. I can only win. And only lose.
Besides pretty much all Jonny just said, I sure hope Lively picks it up in Dallas. I've been praising him (with good reason) through the whole POs, but he's been playing like crap in this series so far and has been quite detrimental to the team, which is the complete opposite of what he was through the whole West run. I think this is a much bigger issue than what the stat sheet probably tells you.
I said it elsewhere but Mavs in these series look more like five guys and not one single team. Which feels bizarre looking at how they played so far.
@@lukacvitkovic8550 Completely agree. Really nice way to put it.
I think you should've been more harsh on Luka. 8 turnovers in game 2 and being a cone on defense, plus missing half his free throws. He deserves 0 passes.
It is Celtic's year
I'd argue that if Irving would play at his best level the Mavs would have a genuine shot at winning.
Kyrie is my all time favorite player, this has been painful to watch
if they didnt miss those many free throws, the game would have been different.
If my aunt had balls she’d be my uncle
I thought there was a good chance the Celtics. I think Luka has to have a legendary game to win one for the Mavs like 62 points. Kyrie may score more he's going to be inefficient the way he is being defended. He and Luka can have games where they make lots of low percentage shots.
This Celtics remind me of the early 2000 spurs but more modern. the only difference why they don't have a ring yet is duncan came more matured and reliable than tatum.
Get ready Johnny. Get the brooms out
Alot of people are gonna have to walk back these egregious Kyrie takes after this series. That guy can’t keep getting outplayed by PJ Washington with no scrutiny
When Dallas wins Luka Dončić gets all the credit. When Dallas loses the role players and Kyrie get the blame. You can’t make this stuff up
this might be the most unstoppable underwhelming team in nba history 💀
If things go as they are in dallas for 3, its as good as done. Theres no coming back from this anyways.
If the Mavs minimise silly turnovers and actually box out, they'd give themselves a much better chance.
It's just Celtic Magic. Maybe Dallas still have a chance if the win game 3.
I mean the no calls don't help either
Watch the game they even had more fouls?
Lol if the refs favored one team that team was the mavs
Im so sad
It’s not the Celtics fault that they are gonna have one more than the lakers. It’s Jokic and Murray’s fault for it. Especially Murray
You also have to consider that the Celtics are whooooole lot better on the road than at home. So far in the playoffs, they are yet to lose a road game.
No mention of the defensive issues from the mavs ….
This is what you all get after all the hate the Celtics were getting throughout the playoffs. Idk where it even came from but everyone was hating on the Celtics this year. But this Celtics team is just to well rounded and any player on any given night can go off and be a star and win them the game they remind me a lot of the Spurs from like 2014. I mean they didn't play well in game 2 at all and still won. The Celtics have proven why they are the best team in the league this year and all you bandwagon Mavs fans and haters are just living on hope because the Celtics are winning the championship and hanging banner #18🏆☘️ #lakerssuck
Porzingas tore up his leg, that could be the break the Mavs were looking for.
mavs were winning before that happened i think though lol
