I watched, it's a good video. I get it. I also fully disagree. I'm glad they went down in flames. The league is already set up to force teams to move players regularly through FA and trading. We don't need to add more and more players demanding trades. If the Nets had won a chip, it would have pushed us further into an era of volatility where players were constantly demanding trades and switching teams. Some amount of stability is good for fans and the league. Also, all three players are kind of trash when it comes to non-basketball hard skills. Kyrie sounds like a wonderful person to the people around him, but he's sooo full of himself. The flat earth and anti-vax stuff really pisses me off. I think he's maturing some finally, but from the time he forced himself out of Cleveland to last year he was a dumpster fire IMO. He was a bad teammate and spreading garbage information into the real world. Hard pass on wishing someone like that success. Durant has had a chip on his shoulder. He's a top 20 player all-time, and most people agree on this (a few will argue top 10), but he acts like no one respects him. He focuses on his haters and it's annoying. He is not a basketball genius either. He's extremely skilled, but he doesn't know how to manage a team. He's no Russell, LeBron, Curry, Magic, Bird, etc. He's just not that guy, but he thinks he is. He wanted to pick a yes-man coach and build his own team.... twice now. This is not his job. His job is to be the on-floor swiss army scorer that elevates his team. He can play with anyone, in any system, and do whatever the team needs on offense. That is his super power. He's probably the most versatile scorer in league history, but that's not enough for him. Harden is a cheat code. He's great at learning what rule he can break. He's a good game manager. He has a ton of endurance to play with that high usage for years. He put up with a lot of crap in Houston IMO, and they didn't put quite enough around him, and so he took all the blame too. He also checks out mentally pretty easily, but I kind of understand it. I think history will always underrate him because he didn't win a chip, and so I kinda feel bad for him, but not really. The Nets front office abdicated responsibility to do their jobs to Durant and Kyrie. They got exactly what they deserved. Comment and liked for your algo.
